    AMX M4 mle. 45

The tier 9 on the AMX M4 line is better than the 50 120, but (having not played the AMX M4 54) I'd rather be in a 50B. The reason is that the AMX M4 54 has having two underwhelming guns to choose from. The 120mm makes you a subpar Super Conq with low DPM, while the 130mm makes you unable to reliably pen the enemy with its *GASP* 280mm of premium ammo pen. The tank itself is sloid, and its one of the better chassis the French line gets. However, the gun selection for a tier X is abysmal and the defining trait of the tank (which should be its niche 130mm) is all but useless. At least you can overmatch STRV's, though. It's as though every time WG wants to make armor relevant again, they introduce a French tank (Foch B, nerf to AMX 30/30B, AMX M4 54) with poor pen and then go back to putting Bobjects and Badgers in the game. Tier 8: 50 100 >> AMX 65t Tier 9: AMX M4 51 >>> AMX 50 120 Tier X: 50B > AMX M4 51 Top tier in a 3/5/7 match? You'll kick butt in the AMX M4 54, especially with the 130mm. If you're in an all tier X match? You'd probably rather be in a 50B.

Obj 257 - the Armored Catamaran

I'd like the tracks for the increase in mobility, mostly. Capacity isn't a problem with the stock tracks, but I do find myself wanting to be able to move my armor around more efficiently.

Obj 257 - the Armored Catamaran

I'm grinding this thing on the way to the IS7. I've got around 48l xp so far, as well as the top gun (thankfully). Should I go tracks/turret, or engine?

ELC AMX and the Patch 9.18 (It's still a good tank)

I just miss the maneuverability, tbh. Sure, it can still scoot, but not like it used to. It might not be as bad of a tank as I fear, but the fun factor was lessened.

ELC AMX and the Patch 9.18 (It's still a good tank)

They could've done this for more than just the French tech tree, although it's as though they redesigned the role of light tanks to be less "scouty" to be more (in)consistent damage dealers. On one hand, they're more effective at dealing consistent damage (I've only played the Frenchies), but less able to scout. effectively against higher tier meds.

ELC AMX and the Patch 9.18 (It's still a good tank)

Should've just moved it to tier 6 and called it good. It was already balanced to see tier 8s anyways...

ELC AMX and the Patch 9.18 (It's still a good tank)

You quoted me... comparing the old ELC AMX bis to its current nerfed state post 9.18 (the purpose of this thread). It has always been a tier 5, it just lost its scout MM so the highest it can see is tier 7 (hence my confusion about you supposedly getting YOLO'd by a tier 5 tank in a tier 9 tank).

ELC AMX and the Patch 9.18 (It's still a good tank)

We're discussing the ELC AMX, a tier 5 which will never see the 257. Is it possible you're thinking about the ELC Even 90?

ELC AMX and the Patch 9.18 (It's still a good tank)

Patch 9.18 killed the ELC. It took severe nerfs in mobility, firepower, and survivability in exchange for better gun handling and the potential to use a completely ineffective gun on a fully traversable turret.

The ARL 44 - Actually Trash

Yeah, the armor values didn't change but the angle was decreased, nerfing the effective armor but ~20-30mm, IIRC. I'm having a hard time finding specific numbers, though. I think the UFP was 45 degrees and now is closer to 40.

The ARL 44 - Actually Trash

The ARL was actually better pre-HD model, which heavily nerfed its hull armor to the current state it is now. 105 with liberal goldspam is highly recommended.
  14. I'm a tomato again after a 3+ month break. Even the KV2 let me down yesterday...

    The Minion Consortium Wants You

Bless 'em, they're trying. Mostly platoons and the like at this point (although I think they'd like to resume some form of organized training), and they're at about 40 active members IIRC.
