  1. Whats the run down on this new campaign.. how much effort for bonds? And is anyone looking to add another player? 2850 overall

depends on your perspective. in the top 5% of clans? relatively easy as long as you maintain your rating.

not in the top5% clans? well... good luck getting enough bonds for a tank from the campaign unless you can maintain individual rating (unlikely do to top5% taking majority of top individual rating as well) or if you already have a decent chunk of bonds to begin with

very few clans will see the 80+ tanks per clan compared to previous campaigns.

But are you actually going to spend any of your bonds?!?!?!?!

If you're interested in some bond income it is worth doing with a reasonably competent clan. get ordered around, kill doods reap a a few to several thousand bonds... fun times!

If you're really interested in a "free" reward tank you'll need to either be in top clan and hold a lot of personal fame(which will be easier to do in elite dickpuncher clan)  or hold up to a couple hundred to a couple thousand or so bonds aside to pay for said tank.

Annoying thing about this time around, you can qualify for a license to purchase rare-ish tank but depending on how many bonds you earn you might have to supplement with your own stash.

  2. Don't be too critical of yourself, we all have brain shutdown issues. That airfield game looks good, I would have played basically the same. I probably would have added an attempt to engine deck pen that T-10 while he was distracted by your teammate. It would have put you in front of the AT-15s gun, but you could afford to take a hit from him. The wildcard would have been the arty, maybe they hit you maybe they don't. Also when playing from the middle, there is a bush at approx F5/6 that can spot the very common E5 position for the enemy. After the enemy Cent AX and Patton who are fighting for the hill are dead, that becomes an option for an extra place to poke. 1064 average assistance isn't shitty, but more is always better.
  3. I watched your replays and here are some general thoughts I had instead of a timestamped replay breakdown. You are aiming your shots fully when you can, keeping your tank healthy and in safe positions. That's a good start. Its clear you are playing on the safer side of the safety/aggression spectrum. So to find the additional assistance you want, the place to look will be the more risky plays that you might not be seeing as easily. The unfortunate thing about looking for plays that are more dangerous than your normal comfort level is that you will make mistakes and die as you learn what is too much and too soon. The benefit is obviously that you will come out as a better player overall when you can walk that fine line more efficiently. Looking at your overall T49 stats shows that there is some extra damage out there for you (1537 current average as I'm looking at it). This could be accomplished from turning one of your hits per game into a pen via being aggressive when it is safe to do so; or splashing for more damage by aiming for turrets or super structures that are positioned above thin engine deck armor (see the splashing engine deck post by @dualmaster333 in the Sheridan thread)... or just hitting an additional shot. There are also a few percentage points of win rate that you can improve via that higher damage per battle which I just mentioned or alternatively more assistance damage like you referenced in your title. I wasn't able to see your average assisted per battle or your overall hit percentage in your T49. Post those numbers if you'd like, so we can see a bit more information. Also, generally speaking there is less to give advice about when you link 3 ace tanker replays. Show me replays where you lost a semi close match. Show me replays on Steppes, Airfield, Ruinberg. In the most simple terms.. to get more assistance damage you should position yourself wherever there is the most enemy HP remaining. For example, in the Malinovka game you made an effort to drive all the way up the hill to spot a sub 100hp T30... you could have used the amount of time you spent setting up and coordinating with your team to re-position to the other flank that had a full HP med and 2 arty. Let me take a moment to say that I think getting that T30 out of the game was good, but if you are asking about damage/xp/assistance maximization that is an example of something you could do differently. In the fiery salient game you did a good job of playing the hill and being responsible for winning that flank. However as far as maximizing goes there is generally more to be soaked up by playing the middle, between short active spotting runs and jumping back and forth from positioning to shoot the hill and shooting the 1-4 lines and possibly even getting the E1 bush at some point in the mid-game. The main thing in the 3 games you posted that I didn't see you do is switch your flank fully from east to west when things stall. I don't know if that is a play you are comfortable with and just didn't see a need to do it in these games, or maybe something you could use more. Impacting more than one flank by using your speed is a great way to get more out of your games and light tanks are the best at being able to pull that off. Another big thing you can incorporate is forcing a booty shot situation when you know an enemy is isolated. If they are sub 900hp you don't even need to have an escape plan! Keeping a count of enemy tanks or using a mod to do it for you is a great way to see these opportunities in real time. That's all I've got for now. I'd be happy to check out some more replays if you post them
  4. What is your max bonds earned in 1 game? I got 31 just a minute ago, not sure where that fits on the scale

I recently got a little over 30 in the T-100. Both the scout medal and patrol duty give 5, then if you throw confederate in or other easy medals, it adds up. Depending on the situation, I'll cap for an invader medal for an extra 5 bonds because it's unlikely that the extra damage will get me 5 bonds worth of experience.

  5. I've been having a lot of fun playing this tank and have been putting up big games also. It seems very strong. Has anyone else been playing it recently to confirm this?
  6. Its almost certainly the second option of pre-aiming except maybe that real quick one by dual from the castle near the beginning. I just watched that game again, tons of laughs in 5 minutes.
  7. Crab is alright but i dont know about that bulba guy... haha This is why I love the chodeslap so much, and now video evidence of how dudes in heavy tanks are feeling as the creeping death overtakes them!
  8. All HE shells, good times I thought the engine deck shot was rather slick, and the E5 pen was unexpected. I recorded a bunch of clips at once but I'm slightly unhappy with the quality, I'll bump it up next time I record
  9. Everyone likes a bit of teamwork- HE version Now with HEAT
  10. Patch day tomorrow so I expect you all to share the good stuff before your replays wont work anymore! Here is a Kharkov game Fire makes perfect sense here- T49 Things- The end is near- But first.. this beauty- Ammo rack 1250 and splashed the other light tank also lol
  11. I'm actually hyped for this tank. I have no experience with the time it takes for things that go on super test to show up in game. How long does WG make us wait you think?
  12. Streaming twitch.tv/rev01ution T49 derp fun times

  13. 440 alpha... russian so blessed with great soft stats.... yup I want it

  16. @dualmaster333 Thanks for the high effort post. I like the feedback a lot, 2 of those 3 are totally winnable. Highway was the one where I was most clueless about how to win. The last hour of the stream after that kharkov game was fun and pretty good. @CraBeatOff I'm totally a nerd for that kind of stuff I'll stream tonight as well
  17. Bitrate dropping down into the 500s I don't think would be caused by a setting in OBS. The comcast advertised speeds may be like ten times what you need to stream but your actual speeds are going to be lower and the big ISPs are notorious for having inconsistency in their uptime/getting big dips in your actual speeds. Try a conservative bitrate of 3000 to see if putting less pressure on your connection allows it to keep up a bit better.
  18. Look at the bottom of the screen to see the green outline around the ammo when looking at a gif. I guarantee no one is switching their HEAT ammo around to be on the 1 key, so that's a good way to tell. As far as loading the right ammo in game, you have to see certain tanks in front of you that are heavy but not tier 10 super heavy. Examples include VKB, T10, JTiger and of course you only want to load your HEAT when you are sure you can get their side/booty as needed to pen... otherwise keep the HE splashin
  19. Another T49 stream! 152mm entering pubbie booty

  20. Fuckin lol Also, here is a replay of a 5500 direct damage game if anyone is craving more stuff to watch http://wotreplays.eu/site/3875887#fiery_salient-rev01ution-t49
  21. I was in pretty heavy denial that I threw that match, but yup that was on me. I probably threw about 4 games in my 3 hour session last night, yuck. I'm working on it though, goals have been set to get my win rate up to 65%. Just not positive that I have all the info I need to make it happen yet! Still, hell of an effort there by dual. The end of that game is a must watch.
  22. I'm going to fire up my stream and play T49 derp games

    twitch.tv/rev01ution

  23. Yeah for OBS its pretty simple, I had to go to setting --> output and change my recording format mp4, then setting --> hotkeys to bind something to start and stop recording. That's basically it but I already had OBS installed for streaming. The initial setup is easy if you let the setup wizard choose settings for you. Then just watch your replay back, use hotkeys to start/stop recording at the proper times. The rest is really simple, drag and drop file into a gif website, copy paste link. Done.

Am I a giffer now? edit: No idea how to embed this, here is a link instead. But seriously how do I embed this to play automatically?
  25. @kreigermann I watched your replays and took some brief notes that I'll share here. Game 1 Erlenburg- I like the turret locking you did at the start of the game, consider incorporating that into your games all the time, it keeps your bloom in check from looking around and adjusting your hull. The opening move of cresting your tank to autoaim at a 12t isn't very optimal. He is reasonably never 100% alone, making the full exposure of your tank pretty dangerous. The cost for that move in this case is 60% of your HP, forcing you to be pretty passive for the rest of the match. I'd suggest instead to change your opening move to just passive scout from the bush that's over there and let your friendly tanks maybe do something. Personally I think you should cross the middle bridge a little sooner, when the tank advantage is still heavily in your teams favor. The fight at the end against the Foch and company would have gone better if you were healthy, but you did what you could considering. Game 2- Good opening, I usually sit farther left in that bush just as an FYI. Surviving and escaping that yolo by the enemy lights is good. Also the pen shot is nice. Timestamp 13:10 the shot on the T49 is not good. He's not looking at you and he recently fired, aim in this situation for the damage and to maybe save a friendly tank. Your choice to drive down the middle when you're on low HP is pretty aggressive. Maybe snipe at the hill from a safer spot back on your side of the map out of spotting distance. Game 3- IDK what happened but I ended up with a duplicate replay here. Unsure if this was my mistake in downloading or what happened. Game 4 Sand River- Opening was good but slightly too aggressive. The tracks of your tank don't need to reach the top of the sand dune, just let the turret get above for line of sight. Pen was good. I would aim that second shot opportunity you had on the T44, you have a good chance to pen if you manually aim. Good shot versus the IS3. It's okay to shoot at the JPE100 from the front, go read the splashing engine decks post in the Sheridan thread by dual. Everything else here was good. Game 5 Westfield- Like the turret locking again, keep doing it. Good game here overall but at the end I would force the T62 into a full booty shot, you have the HP to make it happen. Game 6 Sand river- Too aggressive against the RU. Full crest and autoaim is no good. You're lucky to survive this one. Once you have him spotted I would take a medium tank style approach and round the base of the sand dune to shoot at him without over exposing. The rest of the match is pretty good considering your team gets steam rolled. Overall notes would be auto aim less play just slightly more like a medium by not doing wild light tank things when its not an emergency situation. Also, keep doing everything you're doing but don't lose HP on your opening maneuvers. Just some basic observations, hope this helps.
