I woke up one day and felt free of the notion that I had to increase my WN8 and winrate enough to join a top clan. Suddenly it occurred to me it really aint that important. Like Zeven says ... "relax guys its just a game". Best damn advice I've had all 3 years I've played. Now I can play the game with a clear head ... ha

So, everyone cries about scouts not scouting on prok..
I got prok in my brand new wz131, I went to g1 bush and spotted a t95 going down the 2 line..
That guy proxy spotted me, it took 2 minutes for him to get to me (I couldn't run because I also spotted a 704 and a AMX 30 and they all had a clear line of sight on me), and yet none of the skycancers in my team shot him, not even TDs..
Then after I died arty wrote "noob scouts"..
Fuck pubbies and random bullshit battles..

Platooned with Waifu_Pixel and another guy from Mahou (sorry I cant remember your name) a couple nights ago and it was the strangest thing happened. To anyone who doesn't know Waifu he is a very good tanker playing for Vilin right now. I recommend you go check out his Twitch channel when you have the opportunity (Advertisement plug for Waifu )
For the longest time I really considered myself to be a better tanker than I really was. I guess anyone will compare themselves to other tankers and say to themselves .... "Big deal they have great stats in that Top Clan I am just as good as them".
And to a certain extent that might be true but I guess it really put things into perspective and showed me how much I didn't know about the game while platooning with him. Yea I was nervous because I didn't want to be the dumb guy making all the mistakes now that I was sort of hanging with the big dogs. But the very first game we go to take a hill, me in my 110E5 the guy from Mahou in his 215B. We actually took the hill and the other team proceeded to occupy the base of the hill and chai snipe at us until the west flank collapsed and we died.
I made so many mistakes in that game im embarrassed to mention most of them but the biggest mistake was I froze up and flailed around indecisively until my team was almost all dead then I started trying to fight back but it was too late. My toonmate from Mahou died , waifu died before him I think and I was one of the last getting shot from all directions. Game over we lost. Now the game wasn't all our fault it was a team loss but I just remembered thinking back on all the times I said to myself .... "All I have to do is get my foot in the door of one of these Top Clans and I will play just like them".
I honestly thought I could walk before I crawl. It was a humbling experience to say the least. I don't even think Waifu knew I felt that way because I just kept playing each new game learning what I could and storing it in my head determined make myself better from it. They told me I played good and who knows maybe they meant it but I knew I had so much room for improvement.
Learning to play this game is a process and the most important ingredient is time. It takes time to learn this game, perfect the tactics and skills you need to be the best you can be. This lesson has given me the patience I need to take it one game at a time and improve. Most of all it has helped me to realize that when someone calls me a potato, tomato, banana or whatever describes my 1192 WN8 and 51% WR at the time ... don't take it personal. Acknowledge that's who I am right now but its not where I am going to be in the future.

Over 20 years ago during operation southern watch .. I witnessed my first F14 mishap. An F14A caught the wire on its landing and the main gear folded causing it to crush its drop tank and catch fire. Normally that would not have been a problem but with 2x AIM-9 sidewinders, 2x AIM-7 Sparrows, and some Phoenix missles to boot ... it was a big problem. AIM-9 had a cook off time of 30 seconds this 18 year old kid had to grow up quick and fight his first ever aircraft fire.
I look back on my past and am now amazed at some of the things I lived through. I look to the future and wonder what else is in store before I leave this green planet.
