  1. Play the Tiger. Fantastic tank after the buff. My new favorite tier 7, I don't play the T29 anymore because the Tiger gets first pick now. 5.5 sec reload, with great accuracy and very good pen for tier (gold round always works). Also the HP pool is great for late game cleanup, and the turret armor can bounce when hulldown against most equal tier tanks. Over 65% wins after 500 battles, about 250 before the buff, and about 70% solo play. Consider the Comet, and as someone else mentioned, the Brit mediums seem to be undervalued. edit: I want the Cent 7/1 but won't move on from the Comet until pad game count higher double edit: What about the AMX 13 75 instead of the 13 90? Lower expected spots might help the WN8 score if you spot well and output damage after. I understand the 13 90 is superior, no doubt, but with full gold layout I'm learning to make the 13 75 work. Also, I'm gonna make a run at playing the 59-16 very well and see how that helps, stock gun, full gold, can do some things Man, I shoot so much gold now, on a free account, my credits.....

Star Citizen Alpha dog-fighting F7C-M plan

I don't doubt that. It's been stated that the guns pledge ships start out with are low level compared to what will be available in the PU. I have no problem with the pledge though, because with the Alpha and Beta access, I'll be playing the game a year sooner then waiting for release. Plus, because no post Beta wipe, what you build before release stays with you, so no wasted time. Also, I really wanted to give another Dev my money.
  3. If you own the Super Hornet: Please Allow as many ships as possible to destroy you while offering little resistance. Do not go around kicking everyone's ass right from the start. We don't want this thing "adjusted" in any way Feel free to fight other SHs hard as you want thank you

Star Citizen Alpha dog-fighting F7C-M plan

The LN will be a very useful ship, need that cargo capacity to make money, something my SH doesn't have. Plus the Devs have stated that they don't want the Aurora to be a ship that people feel they "need" to move past to do well. Your LN has the added hardpoints, and the upgraded guns you can earn in game will be worthwhile. And on top of that, buying new ships is supposedly not going to be a huge grind, nothing like the WoT grind As for LTI, there are a few people on this forum that can help you out, no risk because reputation matters. Send a PM to one of them There is a thread on the SC forum started by Kitti for WoT survivors, a bunch of people over there for all things SC.

Have you seen the youtube vids by AnythingFPS? Game modder. Has a "clean" Avenger that is pretty sweet looking. Even better then the game, crazy as it sounds. He has a few very awesome vids

You guys planning on going through Squadron 42 for the perks, i.e. citizenship and possibly ability to purchase some higher grade military equipment, or straight to the PU?

Star Citizen Alpha dog-fighting F7C-M plan

These questions have been hashed out extensively on the SC forums. Super Hornet has more pluses the you might think, against the Hornet or Constellation. But It does have drawbacks as well. A well armed constellation variant will probably run over $300 pledge, making the SH look cheap, also the Con needs a crew for maximum effectiveness. Different roles for sure I figure it will be easier at the start to build assets flying solo in a ship with less overhead, compared to the Constellation. Plus, a well rounded fleet probably includes a premier fighter so I will keep it around if I move on If one of the Constellation variants is super badass, and that's very possible, I may melt my SH package and upgrade. TBD But whatever happens, WoT gets no money from me ever again, that's for sure. I'll keep my tanks, but I've payed my last
  9. Recently acquired a Foch 155. Only tank I've played since but if someone knowledgeable can take a look at my last session stats and give me a better understanding of the resulting WN7 and WN8 games: 12 wins: 2 (ffs pubs I hate you so much..) damage per : 3802 kills per : 2.25 spots per : 0.58 cap/def: 0 WN7: 1846 WN8: 1982 A WN7 of only 1846 for 3.8k dmg/game and 2.25 kills? This seems very low to me, why am i wrong? The WN8 is even worse at 1982. Is it because the w/r is so awful? or is it the low spots and def? This even included a 0 dmg/kill disconnect, so I thought i was actually playing very well Maybe I'm wrong, but I assumed 3.8k and 2.25 were pretty decent numbers, even for the relatively OP Foch 155, good enough for a higher rating. That WN8 is terrible. So, what's the deal? edit: tier 10 solo, when the MM puts every competent platoon on the other side, is huge test of patience, or stupidity, don't know which
  10. yeah, that's what I assumed. Trying to pretend I'm smart or something
  11. Uploaded some replays for the first time First post includes 2 back to back games I had today First one in a 2 man platoon of Tiger H with MiloMinderBinder 7 kills, 3.5k damage. 11 kills in our platoon, last 2 alive. http://wotreplays.com/site/371007#fisherman_s_bay-unified_theory-pzkpfw_vi_tiger Next battle was an E-100 solo. Live to the end and clutch the win, 7 kills, over 8.5k damage done and potential received. Not too bad http://wotreplays.com/site/371006#mountain_pass-unified_theory-e-100 Added a nice AMX 50-100 battle, in tier 10, that I think shows why the 50-100 is one of the tier 8s that is the least disadvantaged when bottom tier http://wotreplays.com/site/381899#fjords-unified_theory-amx_50_100 Taking lights seriously! (from now on promise). AMX 13 75 "Ace tanker" http://wotreplays.com/site/381902#el_halluf-unified_theory-amx_13_75 Foch 155 makes everybody cry (even from *ahem* supposedly respected clans..) Warning: premium round butthurt included http://wotreplays.com/site/381905#karelia-unified_theory-amx-50_foch_155
  12. Lol thanks. 3rd name I've had so hopefully it's getting better. Already have a name picked out for #4 when it gets to that
  13. I've found over time, I have developed a huge disdain for the group that moves to the north from the west spawn. More often then not, the congregate in one spot and won't move for the majority of the match, no matter what develops. It is rare they even move far enough north to effectivly spot the east sides far north group. For this reason I prefer the east spawn because at least the pubs will get involved one way or another
  14. Very well said, exactly my viewpoint. I know, for the most part, where enemy tanks will deploy on each map. Also, almost always, pubs on my team yolospot anyway. I try to get in position to take advantage of this, but don't put alot of value in my personal initial spots I understand and respect the value of being aggressive and taking key areas quickly, which may result in high spot numbers. But, as a majority solo player, I have found that I end up alone, unsupported, and overwhelmed more often then not when playing this way, so I don't do it very often anymore. If my spots suffer, then so be it
  15. Added 3 new replays, showing how good some French tanks can be
  16. Appreciate your opinion and advice My thread was to talk about the resulting rating specifically I am confident that 2.25 kills/game at tier 10 is a solid number. So I suppose to be perfectly clear, what is the corresponding damage number needed to result in a higher WN. Appears 3800 is not that good so I'll try to move that up maybe I'll adjust playstyle, depends. I don't camp much, but I don't spot much either. But, again, playstyle wasn't my question, the math was. But thanks again Ok, Praetor, appreciate the heads up on a formula change and a resulting higher rating. But even still, 2.3k is lower then I'm aiming for the tank, would be interested what damage, other numbers being the same, would have been needed for a 2.8 WN8 or so? Anywhere I can plug these numbers in myself and see what happens, like the efficiency calc webpage that had eff, WN6 and WN7? that was interesting to use
  17. Ok. I just came across the update expected table. 1.4 spots/game? really? gonna have to yolospotderp every 5 battles or so to get my spot numbers up Unless we are skipping WN8 and going straight to WN9? not even sure anymore what's going on

Very general question: From what you've seen testing the new WN8, have most players seen a increase or decrease in WN score with 8 compared to 7? equal increase and decrease overall, no noticeable trend? Would find that interesting
  19. Yo_Spliff

    Fuck you, Jingles.

I guess someone can neg that comment, must love the TOG but I said "imo", and to be clear, in my own experience I have never seen a TOG, or a TOG platoon, dominate any battle I have ever been in. In my experience the TOG is an incredibly easy target, almost impossible to miss from even extreme distance with sub par guns, slow to move around obstacles, cannot be hidden because of the extreme length, no armor to protect it... In my own experience, I have never seen a TOG as nothing more then a defenseless punching bag. I have never witnessed one dominate a game, I have never seen a platoon dominate a match So, neg rep aside, I will re-iterate my opinion, the TOG is the most pathetic tank in the game

    Fuck you, Jingles.

TOG is the most pathetic tank in the game imo

    Another must have "hack"

    Thanks for the heads up

    Confession

You do. It's going to take at least a hundred neg reps to make up for this

Some player compile stats in OP tanks after they're released, while others play them post nerf Zakaladas and his VK3601 is a good example. Post release, pre-nerf konish gold spam (when the rounds were gold only), compared to someone who picks it up now? Same thing with the Lor 40 when it was tier 8, anyone who plays it now is at a disadvantage statistically. many other examples as well. I have read this entire thread and nothing much can be done? Also, thanks for the effort guys I loves the numbers
