I became quickly enamored with the Object 140 in the test server. Firstly though the early results I've always loved my American mediums, especially the M46 Patton. The American gun depression is a huge factor for me in allowing me to get shots where they can not normally be taken as well as grab good defensive positions. Unfortunately, the American meds don't always offer the type of hull down protection and speed I'm looking for. I also drive the 62A. I enjoy the tank and think it's great but I have not been using the tank to its full potential. I have some trouble adjusting to lower depression guns. Enter the Object 140. It offers better gun depression (according to the forums it's only one degree better but it either seems better or -6 is the 'minimum' I'm comfortable with) and excellent speed to go along with the troll turret and small size. I've read and heard numerous times that the top of the turret can be easily overmatched but just got through a few battles when I went hull down and bounced everything that was thrown at me. The accuracy of the gun is ever-so-slightly worse than the 62A but is not noticeable to me at all and while the turret traverse goes from 48 to 40 it is also not an issue whatsoever. This is quickly becoming my favorite tier 10 medium, even more so than the Leo or M60 (yes I love my M60). It can do it all in one tough little package. I'd be surprised if this tank does not replace the 62A in clan wars. It's just better. It's also fast and maneuverable enough to act as a scout if need be.
I'm just about done with this box. I've fallen into an awful slump with my Jagdtiger with these potato teams lately. It just seems like the tank cannot do anything when alone/with teammates that go full-on battle royale/every-man-for-himself-mode, and the AMX40 / IS-7 Syndrome it suffers from is so bad it may as well be as fast as a T95 with a higher top speed (and without dat trololol armor). I found this thing's performace is influenced on how well/badly the team does, somewhat like arty: Note: (If you do bother reading through this, please do note that while it gives insights on how i play, it may also be full of my typical whine-y whine whine tone that tends to get to me whenever anything German is mentioned together with WoT.) Playstyles tried, based on advice from older topics on the WoT forum: *Warning, wall of text* Unless i get very interesting/new/fresh tips on the Jagdtiger, this thing is doomed to collect dust in the garage (and eventually sold for credits/slot later if i ever scrap together enough willpower to grind a new line). ... Sorry if this sounded like a rant, but I'm really struggling in my attempts to make this machine work. It has a good-ish gun on a chassis that is the direct anti-thesis of the ideal tank in my mind. If you find me hopeless for this tank, are there any other tanks out there that are at least as mobile as an M4 Sherman, but with a gun that is halfway decent (at the very least equal to good mediums/decent heavy tanks in the same tier). TL;DR: HALP, how2jagdtiger?!1?111
Back in the dark ages of WoT I once got 10 kills & 2,484 XP admittedly that was in the VK3601 which used to be a little OP but in my defense I was in a tier 8 match up. Since then the nearest I have come is 9 kills in my E-75 but as far as I remember the XP I earned was less than 2k maybe this was because I was munching on Tier 6's I am not sure. I feel I am improving as a player I have even managed to get my E-100 win rate up from 42% to 48% in recent months so I believe I am learning but however I try I cannot beat my all time XP record. I am not sure if I need to be a little more selfish & become a lesser team player maybe I need to stop backing up my team. Should I forget supporting an isolated player? Should I forget to shore up an open flank where I myself may get isolated & raped by multiple enemies because the lemming train went off in another direction. Should I head to my favorite sniping spot & lay out lots of damage & type S.T.F.U when chat gets hot & tells me to move! Should I camp in some bushes instead of leading the charge in my E5 knowing the enemy will come but we will lose. Should I forget to look at my mini map or ignore how the battle is developing. Should I never cross half the map & support my arty as a light tank breaks through our lines. No I will not I will continue to support my team in the best way I see fit even though some plonker will say you dead I am alive you NooB after I have defended a corner against insurmountable odds & pointed out he should have helped instead of camping in base. Sometimes I love this game sometimes I hate it but I keep coming back as you never know what will happen & I will keep hoping for that perfect game when everything goes right & I will eventually beat my all time top score. Bullitt....
