If you're among those who have some FPS to spare and would like to make your favorite tanks look a bit fresher, then you've come to the right place. This thread is for sharing your favorite tank remodels and skins with the Wotlabs community. Personally I'm using a couple of models from Goodman12(Henschel E-100 and Löwe) and Milkym4an (E-50, E-75 and FV215B), and are very happy with them. But that's only the tip of the iceberg. Their blog sites have a decent and slowly growing selection of HD remodels. https://milkym4n91.wordpress.com/ http://goodman12.club/ (Russian) The official forums also have a couple long-running threads where they, as well as other modellers, share their creations. You'll have to go to the later pages to find the ones that are compatible with current versions of the game. http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/421524-remodelling-reposts-public-storage-reconstruction-of-the-repository-in-first-post http://forum.worldoftanks.ru/index.php?/topic/299091-ремоделлинг-игровых-моделей (Russian)
I've noticed quite a few fellow model builders (historical and tabletop gaming) around the labs forums since joining and figured it might be worthwhile to make a thread here devoted to the topic. Good way to condense some of the random threads popping up here or there concerning kits and building/painting methods along with any builds people want to flaunt show off to everyone else. To start things off here's Tamiya's 1/35 British Mark IV I finished up over the weekend. Built as is out of box and finished entirely with paints. I would have gone the mile with pastels, but the kit funnily enough is motorized and I would have hated to waste the DC motor on a static kit. She runs across the floor quite nicely, although have to be careful actually doing so as our new kitten thinks it's fun as hell to bat at while moving. Apologies for the meh picture quality, cell phone cameras and poor light sources don't go well together And one extra I forgot I took showing just how damn big the thing was with a little help from an unpainted panzer commander (sometimes hard to believe just how large WWI tanks were): As for one next on the build list is this beast:
Hey gents... I'd just like to share one of the scale models I'm currently working on: the old but still venerable model of the Tamiya Leopard 1A4. The kit itself is quite old - it was produced in the late 70s and thus it isn't quite up to the standards of many modern kits. Still, it still embodies the traditional Tamiya philosophy of good fit and ease of build. Have just finished putting the decals and a protective gloss coat on. Will proceed to weathering with oil paints and pastels when I get the time Thanks for viewing!
