  1. Which tanks from each tier do you think are keepers ? I want a good range of enjoyable tanks from each tier and would like some advice.

I decided I should probably start sharing my replays as well as thought process whilst I played in an effort to: Improve as an individual Help others learn the intricacies of the game and thought process of top level players whilst they play So without further ado... I only have one replay so far as I normally don't save replays but this time I happened to have replays saved ^^ http://wotreplays.com/site/2256589#live_oaks-fulcrous-t110e5 In chronological order based on time left. I initially head to city to take advantage of the E5's newly buffed armor profile as well as avoid the batchat arty who is most likely to XVM-snipe me. 14:04 - noticing most of their tanks were lit by the rail tracks, I begin to head back towards base. 12:54 - I position myself by the black mound to 1) be arty safe and 2) force 1v1 engages. My goal here is to shoot lowest HP tanks to remove guns from the game. 12:45 - noticing I have a shot on the AMX 30B, which is more threatening than an RU, I prioritize him but miss. 12:37 - RU 251 is in the open and 30B is dead, I take my shot at him and then proceed to focus the Cent 7/1 to remove a gun from the game. 12:19 - I shoot the 121, a tier 10 tank is obviously more threatening than a light tank will ever be in this position. 11:59 - Shoot the WtPz4 as he is the threat. It also lowers his HP if he ever chooses to push me, making it easier for me to whittle out the enemy when they push. 11:49 - Lorraine 40t is in the open and the waffle is no longer lit, I take my shots at him to lower his HP before they realize they outnumber me and rush. 11:37 - RU251 begins to rush me noticing that I am alone. I back up to get a shot. Unfortunately he decides that perma-lighting me is the better play. 11:24 - he is perma-lighting me in front. I take my chances to kill him that way artillery does not get the pleasure to take shots at leisure. 11:07 - Leo 1 begins to rush. My goal is to kill him ASAP. I have teammates behind me so I knew he would die quickly enough for me to turn around for any tanks pushing me. 10:35 - I kill the 121 10:20 - Lorraine cannot touch me. 9:42 - Arty is the only reason I will lose this game. I focus him down. I then begin to shoot the TDs from another angle they don't expect me to poke. 9:08 - WtPz4 is dead. 8:43 - I bait a shot from the T30 into my mantlet. He is now an easy kill. 7:56 - I inform my team our win conditions in the smoothest way possible - a 3 way pincer. 7:03 - WZ 111 1-4 gets 1v1'd and T49 dies to me. 6 minutes onwards - clean up.

  4. Right so one of my problems with this game is having fun and doing well in Tier 10 tanks..... Basically i just don't enjoy it as much as i do other tiers because at least with those there is always something to be grinding for but nothing at tier 10 which is where i fail to have any fun at and enjoy. I don't think i'm that bad in that tier though there is always room for improvement but i struggle to do well knowing there is no progression on the line therefore i am all meh about it and dont perform as well as i should. So can anyone give me any ideas on how i can have fun and enjoy the tier more and be more better at it? Thanks

Hi there, so I have got the Leo and everything is upgraded with just the grind to the Emil to go and I am torn between which of the 2 guns to use: The 7.5 cm or the 10 cm?, I have tried them both and just cant make up my mind so a little help here with the pros and cons of each and what you run on yours? Thanks

  7. I have two lights in my garage that I barely ever play, the VK2801 and the 59-16. I have had both for months and months, almost never playing them, pretty much since the vision/camo changes. Because of the IS-6 thing going on at the moment, I decided to run them cause I was getting tired of the completely oblivious players playing tier 6. But like every time before, I regret it after a few battles because I am instantly reminded of how imbalanced they are (as in underpowered). The tier 8 lights seem ok, they have the HP to take a hit and survive, and they have the punch to deter someone from engaging them. tier 6s however, partially the 7s as well, lack that, and are not far from dead weight on a tier 8/9 team. Firstly, part of the problem is the TDs, they have so much camo now that they can spot a light tank before being spotted themselves, and with a bush/camo net, they can even shoot the light after spotting it, without being revealed themselves. Secondly, the mediums in the tiers you fight in do an equal or better job in most cases, most of them have the same or better viewrange, and are not as easily bullied as the T6 lights are Lastly, another problem is that the matchmaker does not balance the lights, There is no difference between the tier 8 and tier 6 lights beyond a tiny amount of weight, but the tier 8s make the tier 6 on the other side completely unable to scout in the same area, whatever the difference in weight is won back by the other team having a light tank with nowhere to go. Ironically, because of the lower tiers the tier 5 lights see, the problem is nowhere near as big. And they generally have much better gun selections, I would love to have the chaffees gun on my 59-16 I think it's time for a re-balancing of light tanks, especially tier 6.
