P.S.  I can't decide if its a good thing that our resident neckbeards are treating you like any other woman (ie, boob requests) or if it shows how backwards they actually are.  :O

This was very brave of you. It takes a metric shitton of courage to take the hard choice, live, and change what your biology is to fit what your mind is.

Hope it'll all clear up as fast and as nice as possible Bun. Good luck

As someone who has suffered from depression before, respect to you for finding your way out of it. Don't let other people bring you down, I realize a Dr. Seuss quote is going to look kind of corny, but I think "Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind" fits pretty well here.

First off all, I would like to wish you all the best.

As for normality or indifference I think that the gays/lesbians/transgenders I know are the most open minded, interesting and down to earth people I know. Whereas the general population doesn't really seem to think about who they are, what they want and how they are going to get there untill their midlife crisis. People who have been trough a serieus depression for one reason or anothers tend to have a certain wisdom way beyond their age.

No, unfortunately i can't fully live up to my neckbeard status as far as that goes, college has been to good to me. There is a reason i have a reputation for enjoying the... bigger things in life. i like fat girls

So that pretty much made wives obsolete overnight.

As someone who's struggled with depression I can't imagine the depression plus the identity crisis you've struggled with for years. I think it's such a great thing for you to decide to change to the person you always felt you were, how empowering! I wish you all the best in your journey.

Not to derail things too much, but I do find it interesting that folks are in the closet about this sort of thing, too. I'll admit, it took me a while to come clean with my wife.

Yay for kinks and folks airing their dirty laundry!

Wow, she sounds incredible.  Do you guys have kids and if so, how did you handle that part?  Sorry if this is too personal, I'm just an intensely curious person.

And you better deliver on the boob pix.  I will have it as my desktop background and subtitle it "My Hero."

No we don't have children.  I'm adopted and she's been through the foster care system.  If and when we choose to have a child, we will adopt one via foster care to provide a home for a child who has actually had their lives completely shit on by stupid people.  So that we can turn that around for them.  There is no reason for us to have a genetically spawned child.  There are so many in our world who need help, who don't have help.

That being said one of my biggest sorrows is that I cannot *have* a child, but rationality demands understanding and practicality take point over emotional urges.

Glad to hear you're able to undertake the journey to become more, well, you.  That's a huge, brave step and I sincerely hope everything goes as smoothly and well as is possible!

I understand the hormone inbalance thing, as I've been dealing with that for the last 20 years of my life as well. When I was just 3, my brother was 1 (22 month difference) and we were the same size. Height, weight, length, whatever you wanted to measure us by, we were almost the exact same. Ended up going to the family doctor who referred us to a specialist in London, which is an hour away from where I live. After a metric shit ton of tests, they figured out I have GHD, or growth hormone deficiency, and immediately put me on artificial growth hormone, which I've had to take by needle since then.

Being growth hormone deficient leads to a whole lot of issues, which include shorter height (without any help from meds I maybe could have hit 4 feet tall), less hair growth, weaker bones, inability to have children, etc. At one point, I had to have a shot once a day of growth hormone, and a shot of testosterone once a month (which left me in pain for 3 days, and extremely angry at everything).

All those problems led to bullying and having no friends, and I went through depression big time too. You may not think a kid in grade 7/8 could be depressed, but you'd be wrong.

I don't know all the details of your story and it's really not my place to ask, but I understand some of the things you're going through and the fact that you're sharing it with everybody is absolutely wonderful, and I applaud your bravery.

@Bun: I greatly admire your courage in sharing this, it's hard to put pieces of your real self out there. I imagine for you more so than most people. It always breaks my heart to hear stories of people struggling with their identity, it can really screw people up. Glad you made it out the other side to a place where you can begin to be yourself and be comfortable with who you are. Good luck on the rest of your journey!

As long as you aren't a clicker, I'm cool with it.

It doesn't matter how you got them, no one can deny the power of the hypnoboobs.

This is the bravest thing I've ever seen on any WOT forum so you get my 100% respect for displaying such unconquerable courage on the internets. You've always been nice and classy on both forums and I'm happy that you figured out who you are IRL. Good luck on your journey and I hope it makes you forever happy and complete.
