It seems I only recall to post replays every 2 weeks or so, mostly because no one pesters me. Here is a replay pack of some Cromwell Berlin and Strv 74 A2. We see a lot of tier 9 and 10 gameplay, with some 8s, but few people post tier 6 or stream it competently, so here are some fun mid tier tanks. I am using the Cromwell B to work on fulfilling the 70 wins for 5hrs 50% credits mission (est value of about 7.5m credits when used with a good tier 8 earner). I am using the Strv 74 A2 because I like autoloaders, and I got it from last month's tankrewards. Both are decent earners, even with food and ~50% APCR (sadly that much is needed in a tier where you have to fight IS series all the time).

Do you like tier 6? Which of the many interesting tier 6 premiums is best for you? Am I really a bad person for clubbing?

Tier 6 is not clubbing. Tier 5 is clubbing, maybe. But a tier that sees T8 battles is just mid-tier play.

Thanks for these. I have both tanks, so watching these will be useful, particularly the Crommie B, which I don't really like because of shit gun handling.  I'll be interested to see how you adapt to that

If you have the Rudy and want to play it some, I'd love to see you in action in it. For some reason, I find it harder to play than the regular T-34-85.

I also don't like the Cromwells because of the gun handling. But I want those marks and credits! Marks could be hard though. Holding 1500 dpg moves the mark 1% every four games or so. Doable, but tedious.

And yes, I'll play the Rudy just need to knock out these 70 win missions a little more.

I find the Rudy harder, too. It seems a little less durable and a little slower. It could be my tomato imagination. I look forward to Crab playing it.

By the way, are you guys playing the T-34-85M? It is awesome since the buff. Great gun: like the regular T-34-85 gun, but fires faster.

I do have a T-34-85M, which I won ages ago. I'll play it a little too.

Crom is one of few tanks I play at such low tiers, ELC another. For fun I used to play tanks like Hetzer back in the days, but its more about
'did I learn smth from this match' or 'did anything interesting happen in this match' that matters to me nowadays. Sealclubbing can come
as a necessary spinoff in situations when you walk up a new line, train crews etc but in general I find the fun factor too low to find much
of interest at tiers IV, V, VI. The teams are also atrocious enough at higher tiers these days. At such tiers it feels like 'war of the ants' at times.

I ticketed back the T57 Heavy. I think its tied with the 50B for most times sold in a furor. I believe @sr360 will chime in to tell you "never sell a tier X or a premium" and its hard to say he's wrong, except that with 4 exception tickets a year and unlimited items per ticket its not like it burns that much anymore. :-D I'd played this tank a wee but on another account post armor buff. The shift to the corridor meta and the armor buff make it pretty grand. I am looking forward to spending my credits in it, by picking on fat super heavies who think their fat tanks are good. Here are my first two games back with a fancy 5 skill crew and a tryhard consumable and ammo loadout (thanks @Xits for the inspiration and stream examples).

I had a handful of MAUS games, but I re-imaged my PC over the weekend. I suggest asking @Fyreon if he can zip up a pack, as I know from his stream he's been playing a bit of MAUS.

If he does not have them, I probably still do.

Sorry for hijacking your replay thread, but I uploaded a Maus replay pack. You can find the link to it my replay thread.

They buffed the Russian LTs this patch, in case you didn't know. Here is a small replay pack to show what the 54LW and the LTTB can do now that the insanity of the first week of the patch has cooled off. If you have questions let me know - I have thoughts on this new meta. This 54LW crew is crapola, so no BiA. The LTTB crew is borrowed from the Obj 140, so has 5 perks, but I'll put the current 54LW crew back into the LTTB and the Obj140 crew back and use 3 girls for the T-100LT. Not that anyone asked.

I'd love to hear your thoughts about the new meta.  I'm seriously tempted to become a light tank specialist.  I'm finding the mid-tiers to be quite powerful as middle and late game assassins now that they aren't up-tiered, and not infrequently wind up as top tier.  And...zoom, zoom, zoom!

In particular, do you have thoughts about the LTG or tier 6/7 lights vs mediums?  T8 lights still fight T10 tanks, so I'm beginning to think T6/7 is the sweet spot.  But then I have no T9 lights yet.  Not sure I want to.

Thanks for these replays.

What are you doing about crews?

Oh wait, you answered that, thanks.

In one word or less, will I enjoy light tanks more or less now than before?

The meta! First, the MM is the entire story here. The old model of matching MM weight within tier ranges led to tremendous variability in what a battle tier could look like. Battle tier 10 could have anywhere from 1 to 12 (highest I ever saw) tier X tanks in it, with as few as ZERO tier 9s to all tier 9s minus that 1 poor non scout tier 8 tank. Huge variety. Now, its much much more predictable, and overall every tank, especially bottom tiers, are more effective. You're just not waiting for flank shots ALL the time, with the entire map clogged up with stuff you can't hurt.

The second part, related to that, is the hp/ton across the board is a huge buff to LTs, one that I didn't think they'd do. LTs can ACTUALLY outrun mediums and kite them now.  Not in a flat start of course, but in terms of game flow, if you start running when the MT is 200-300m away, you can actually get enough distance to drop lights get into cover without them just sticking to your ass. This is huge. It also means that small open seams in the enemy lines can be exploited meaningfully. Your exposure time has dropped when crossing that ground, and you can get behind sooner than tanks can turn around. Combined with camo it means the ability to pop up where unexpected is much improved. And synergizing with that, you can fire on SPGs undetected a LOT more often, because of their VR nerfs, meaning SPG stealth kills, which is both immensely satisfying, but also effective for winning games.

I have not really played much mid tier, sticking to 8 and 9, with trials of the 10s. The type 64 is obviously very good, and I've not tried the LTG, but I expect @SchnitzelTruck's opinion is all you need. I am unlikely to explore those tiers terribly much beyond what I already have. I own the 59-16 which i think is pretty good, and at tier 7 the Type 62 and 1357 will be enough.

I'm usually content to lurk but I must say I love the last set of replays. It has been both humbling and inspiring to watch you work. You've re-ignited my interest in learning how to play and I can't thank you enough for that.

Also, terribly sorry if this comes across as stalker behavior - but I've noticed you've played a couple of battles in the T-100 LT. How do you like it thus far? And is there any chance you'll play the WZ-132-1 in the future?

How very complimentary of you! I'm glad to help people interested, I really do think its a decent fun game, even if everyone can't dedicate the time to expertise.

Public service record is public, no worries. I like the T-100LT very much. Very very much, as I play it more and learn it better. I do not currently plan to buy the WZ-132-1, at least until I have a glut of credits. The WZ-132A is super fabulous for me, and tier 9 MM is very comfortable. I've bought the T-100LT and plan to get the RhmPz and the Derpidan. The other two will have to wait.

Ask and ye shall receive...34 replays from the T-100LT. 66% or so wins, normal outputs. GO FAST

I'm making my first post in a long time, in order to ask a very important question.  I know you've done that "meaningful engagement with other humans" thing.  Are they aware of your crustacean alter ego?

If so, have you been subjected to an endless stream of the "Shiny" song from a recent Disney film?

And if not at the hands of subhumans, erm, ...  what's the term?  Light humans?  Churrin?  Something like that...  If not them, have other players done it to you?

Don't try to tempt me with tales of worthwhile LT play.  Current ship has vastly superior internet speeds.  Could probably achieve ~200ms ping.  More than I'd like, but within the playable threshold.

Haha, thats oblique. Do you mean my kids? I have never heard the song, had to look it up. I'm amused. If I ever made a highlights video of WoT, it would be ideal backing music!

LTs are better than they were, but still not a strong class!

Ahh, good.  I already have enough rage building up, between making ios, windows and linux all behave nicely together and computer illiterate people from 80+ countries trying to explain their problems in varying degrees of poor English.  Were I to add tanks to the mix, I'd either suffer an aneurysm or discover I am, in fact, The Hulk.
