@Trobs is doing (has done) the same thing, iirc.  Right now I think he's also putting in Type 4 Heavy/FV183 derps as well for the next one but he might have a few clips he's willing to share?

I won't be able to play tonight probably; going to see a movie with coworkers.  but when I do eventually get home I'll dig through the few 9.20 replays I do have and send you anything I find that's good.

Work shit on me and I lost what I had from 9.19. I'm working on another derp video across Foch 155, Type 4, 183, and T49.

Did anyone check my replay? Wow...

I was so microaggressed by your words that I thought it best to defame your character without doing any investigation. I also don't have to say I'm sorry because my feelings are more important than facts.

BTW do any of you use improved modules on T49?

I dream of such things. I think most of the people who tryharded enough to get the equipment from ranked are way too tryhard to actually play the T49. If another season of ranked comes around, though, I may actually suffer through it since earning bonds in tier 10 pubs seems like it will take forever.

I'll sift through some replays in the next few days. This does remind me that @CraBeatOff ows me a certain grille replay...

Real talk: Sometimes when I want to feel better about myself I dig up the old gfy of my T49 penning a Maus for 1010 damage, and giggle quietly to myself for 10 minutes before continuing my day.

Glorious. You should repost the RhmPz deletion so people understand the context, killing it ~40s later. Man that looks real good from my perspective....

This is technically a Sheridan 152 game, but the gameplay would have been identical for a T49. It's platooned with Crab. I thought it was a well played example of a steady retreat, punishing the enemy for taking the map, waiting for them to get spread out, and then going aggressive to smash their push. For aspiring chodestars, here was the thought process:

  1. Read the lineup. They are heavier on mediums so C1 is risky, but we are fast enough to get there and let a shot off in relative safety.
  2. Start heading for C1. Observe how many teammates are in support. If nobody at all comes that way you abandon the plan, otherwise go for the quick opening shot.
  3. I whiff my first shot which happens plenty, but my chode friend get 431 damage to start. Tons of enemies inbound, get out fast.
  4. We retreat to a second line positions; it has good tree cover so we can spot and aim from safety. We hit 3 out of 4 shots for 1150 damage.
  5. The Leopard is pushing in middle and the other tier 10 meds could swarm us, so we fall back to the third position near the circle. Again, it has good camo cover so we can spot and aim without being seen. We net another 900+ damage from there.
  6. Enemy TVP pushes in far enough to force us to retreat again. We head back to the hill east of the circle. TVP dies to Crab+allies.
  7. By this time our IS-7 platoon has smashed the east flank. Their once large blob of tanks in the west has spread out leaving isolated tanks; some of the mediums have started heading back to their base. Derps thrive on isolated tanks so it is time to go on the offensive.
  8. A lonely Batchat pushes too far and gets manhandled with the help of our Grille.
  9. A lonely T57 shows up so I go for the flanking maneuver.
  10. A Foch B shows up out of nowhere because he got bored of the red line I guess.
  11. I discover yet another clever rock-in-a-bush that WG likes to add to maps.
  12. An IS-7 behind me helps eat the Foch clip so I am free to get some booty.
  13. Crab helps our Grille clear the T57.
  14. North is completely cleared as our other tanks finish capping out.

Our retreat-ambush-retreat tactics really helped stall their push. It's interesting how a single 300-400 damage HE shell can really deter a pubbie (as long as you are far enough away that they can't just suicide rush you). This game was easily lost if we died early which could easily have happened if we stayed too long in the first or second position.

Edit: Woah, I really fucked up the formatting on the spoiler tags somehow.  Is there a way to disable this stupid auto-formatting thing in the editor?

I'm going to watch this after I post one of my own - the best out of the four that I ran tonight. Plus the other three replays and some gfys.

don't expect the same level of quality of play, I'm intoxicated and bad.  I did remember to switch over to optics from vents though

Game on Swamp

1.  drive up northeast, whiffed my first four shots (T49, AMX 13 75 x2, T49 again), feels bad man. two were autoaim and the other two i aimed in 3rd person, not sure why.

2. I drive back up to the northern side of the south spawn's rock, catch the 13 75 just as he's left cover, and delete him

3. My buddy is having trouble with the super pershing so the moment I reload I slap him for 380 or so.

4. Going back up north to try and spot other stuff, but they didn't send anything either. T28 is on the minimap but not in draw, so I yolo over there and manage to steal the kill. Might've been a full damage pen but he didn't have enough HP for it.  Get spotted (and spot) two paper TDs in the process

5. After going dark again I come over the hill behind the trees, spot the Emil before the WT IV, and aim just right to hit his superstructure.

6. Friendly T20 from earlier has run in and spotted the WT, which has a much better hiding spot than the Emil did.  Doesn't matter in the end, he gets spotted.

7. After that I whiff an on the move shot at a T-34-1 who is in the middle swamp area and hadn't been spotted all game prior to this moment.

8. I spot the Skorpion, decide to take the long way around, and apparently he gets bored of waiting to die and drowns himself. Cunt.

9. So instead I remove the arty and join some dude's platoon for that sweet sweet BiA medal.

10. And then to finish off a T49 game in fitting style, I whiff my last shot.

Here's the other three replay links:

Ensk

Kharkov

Paris

@TheMarine0341 the times for all four of these replays are in the descriptions on the wotreplays link

After watching these I realized I autoaim when I really shouldn't.  I missed Skoda butte on Kharkov, Pershing rear on Ensk, both due to autoaiming when I definitely would've hit home (RNG willing) if I had aimed manually.  I think there was at least one more but I don't remember anymore.

As a bonus though, here's my daily dose of booty:

If you're doing reviews, do that Westfield game too?

I'm assuming you mean this one: http://wotreplays.com/site/3807585#westfield-dualmaster333-xm551_sheridan wherein we do terrible unspeakable things to pubbies!

It's another Sheridan game where we showcase that derps can be used to beat down even heavily armored pubbies. Thought process:

  1. We always start by spotting the 0 line crossing - it usually nets us some early shots and sometimes you even get a pubbie or two to help out.
  2. In this case we catch a Patton and a T54E1, landing 3 of 4 for over 1100 damage. That's a Patton at half health right off the bat. You do need to be cautious when firing from here because you usually get lit, either by the mediums you are shooting or a light tank that can get in the bush on that hill.
  3. With two mediums cowering behind the hill and nothing else showing up, there's not much left to do south. After the initial skirmish this area just stagnates. Crab calls to head middle and Derps Ride Together.
  4. At this point we typically just poke around mid looking for ways to be helpful. You have to be super cautious poking out on their side of the village because there's always TDs hiding back there and you will usually get spotted. In this case a T95 and E3.
  5. We're looking for opportunities: maybe get some harassing shots from safety, maybe crush cross the map and help push through a flank, or in this case an opportunity to jump an isolated tank
  6. The T30 thinks he can push around the hill at north of town and turn all our tanks up there. I see nothing but butts and Crabs senses are tingling too. Execution time:

K7HLKv5.gif

  • Our heavies up north are losing. We have good gun depression and at this range we can hit large tanks pretty easily. Even an E-100 will usually take 200+ from our HE rounds so our goal is to distract and damage so we can win the north.
  • This is where the fun begins. Crab and I have platooned enough that we basically do the same things at the same time. The 50B eats our first salvo for 800. The rest of the game he is effectively useless as we slap him with our thick chodes at will.
  • We have strong vision, gun depression, and a wonderful hill to work with. We abuse the E3, E-100, T-10, T95. Flank is won, game is won, and it's just time to clean up.

So without our intervention, the north falls hard, and once that happens the game is hard and sometimes outright lost. But we are Chode$starz. We do not fear your heavies. Our HE does not care about your armor.

We are fast.

We are sneaky.

And we will find the butts.

Yes, that was the one. It was a pretty dicey game with our south stagnating (as always Westfield..). And we made a good play to find the iso, delete it and then troll. This is why I've been pushing dual to run the rammer on the Sheridan - the base accuracy is notably better than the T49, and because when platooning X LTs you're gonna see lots of all X matches. 502 VR with shit crew is acceptable. So you spend a lot of time artying down tanks, having 16.16 reload (I believe this exactly matches maxed E-100) seems solid. Maybe better crew will make camo/VR/aimtimes more valuable, I dunno. At the very least it's amusing to just piss off big tanks, I had a game today where I pushed a pair of E5s on Karelia, just derping their turrets for 250 4x a minute. You can't repair that kind of module damage...

As for the above replay, I didn't actually know Dual was going to shoot the 50B, but given that HE hits hard I was guessing. I'd have switched to the E-100 if he'd chosen that. Focus fire is king. You cannot always coordinate with your Chode Friend, but you should always try, if only to imagine the enemy's rage and frustration. Both replays show 'direct fire arty' mode, which is why the 152 is nice, you can't melt a sick flank like the 90mm/105mm guns, but you can instead relax, find a bush or ridge and just be like arty, except with skills. Plus it's stupid easy to track people, especially with the Sheridan's upgraded accuracy.

Topic jump @PlanetaryGenocide...Don't Autoaim! Its virtually never the right choice, especially with the upgraded pen indicators. And the shell speed is just too slow. Sometimes I'll do a distance auto aimed ridge peek on a real big target, but very rarely. Even aiming on stuff you can't pen can mean the difference between a 135 splash and 400 splash. Gotta get those engine decks! And for stuff you can pen...gotta make them trades count. You can't 2 shot a Grille without a little manual massage! A gentle human touch makes putting it in the butt much easier...

But among current targets, TDs always. Everything but the JpE can be HEAT penned, and it's just so delicious to show them who the real alpha kings are.

Hardcore i'd say. Any mod who would kindly put an " Warning R18 content: explicit derp butt sex" in the title tread?

yeah, yeah, I know... the only good autoaim shot I had in those four replays was the STA booty and the E4 butte, and you can't even see it without clicking five spoiler tags because I'm retarded and fucked up the hidden content, still not sure how.  So instead I"ll just repost them here, have fun (enjoy @Haswell).

Usually when I autoaim it's because:

1. I'm on the move - My hands are shaky as fuck and sometimes I'm just lazy.  Also, if I'm carouseling around someone.

2. It's something I can pen no matter where I hit it (tracks aside, which IMO is more a matter of RNG than it is a matter of manual vs autoaiming, but that's probably why i'm a baddie)

3. It's something I can't pen no matter where I hit it - which as Crab pointed out, is still dumb because I should be aiming for the thinnest armor because HE mechanics.

4. I'm being dumb.

As an addendum, my favorite flavor of butt is American TD.

Finally, two more questions:

1. Third person or sniper view? Or does it depend on the situation?

2. How the fuck do I close spoiler tags properly?

So, this was a pure test project (currently un-listed, will not full release). I need to use something other than Shadow Play to record, as you can see it does funky things with the color and the resolution isn't what I want.
