I dunno, I like my T-55a a lot more then I thought I would. Girl crews are pretty tits though. I was able to crew out my WZ-111 1-4 with the T-55a girl crew. Pretty nice having that tank back with a kickass crew too.

I have MT-15, SPG-12, SPG-13, SPG-15 and TD-15 left. MT-15 and TD-15 are hard. I only have the 3 clicker missions left because I hate clicking. I may sell my CGC after I finish them. I wish that I could have done MT-15 before they changed it.

Well, i kinda sucks in this tank.

Arty seems to fuck my crew pretty hard. It's just bad luck or should i drop the AFE for a medkit ?

Losing crew members two by two is not fun.

Also, the yolo rush tard focus is real in this tank ...

Can confirm yolo rush and lack of result. I mean the tank is very god on paper, but I can't manage it to work (current DPG is ~2800 which is shit in my opinion, with shameful 53%). The crew is 4 skilled, and running VSTAB, RAMMER, VENTS + FOOD. I watched tons of replays like this

 

 

But I always overextend.

I find it rather revealing about the state of the game when the 260, which as I remember was borderline OP on release, is now somehow mediocre at best.The 260 used to bring together the best parts of the IS-7 and the 113. Now, both tanks are strictly better than the 260 if more specialised in what they do: the IS-7 at being a heavy heavium and the 113 at being a hovermed-ish heavium, but a heavium nonetheless.

Meanwhile, the 260, which has stayed exactly as it was at release, is held back by a number of legacy problems, such as a glaring roof weakspots, low ammo capacity, disappointing gun depression and clunky traverse. From what I have seen of it, the 260 itself has always been perfectly workable, and still is, it is just that everything else has been made too strong. Well, unless you are a squishy medium or the IS-4.

Maybe tokens or whatever they call pleb will get 260 shit in 9.20.1 will get 260 buffed. Few tweaks on turret and it's good to go. 

 

Imagine how official forum will be flooded with 260 is bad, buff it. :D

We can make jokes about tomatos complaining to buff it, but honestly, this tank is worse than new Chinese 1111111-5A in each aspect:

- lower alfa dmg

- lower DPM

- 5° vs 7°

- the lowest HP of all heavies etc.

Nevermind that, I'm just looking forward to unlock it in 9.20.1 and finish this chapter. The game is fu***ed up anyways :D

Never said it’s OP just unique mostly for good players. Indeed 260 needs love, and potatos will supercharge this on official forums once they get hold of one. :D 

 

I imagine shitstorm as soon 9.20.1 hits live server. 

 

INB4 DPM and turret buff.

I guess all the hype has died down in these 2 years.

People realized the t55a wasn't as good as the t54, and the 260 has suffered some power creep..

Wg could buff these 2 tanks just because people spent so much time doing missions they deserve it.

I played a couple of 260 games on test server and it's an OK tank, I wouldn't take it in a advance or cw over a 5a/113, but at least it has a better gun than the is7 (in terms of penetration)..

We'll see what happens with 9.20.1, the forums will be flooded with pubbies crying because the mighty 260 ain't mighty anymore (still, wg hasn't given a shit about tier 8s, don't expect them to do anything about a reward tank)

260 was never overpowered, not even when it was new. Pubbies prolly though back then that it was OP as most peoples playing it back then were really good (and try-harding with it). And now its powercreeped by normal tech tree tanks getting buffs (for example IS7 is good now).

I feel like I completely missed the window on this tank being enjoyable. It's not necessarily bad, but the WZ-111 1-5 and Super Conqueror completely shit on it.

I feel really restricted on where I can go with the Object 260 because the worse gun depression, turret armor, DPM and HP mean you can get absolutely wrecked in short order if you run into one of those tanks without a lot of backup. Even running away is hard because the tank traverse seems even worse than an IS-7 (as opposed to the 113 or WZ-111 1-5 that turn more like an E 50).

I do love the straight-line speed, gun handling and decent armor, but it feels like much more of a support tank than the IS-8/T-10 style of play that I was hoping to get.

On the plus side, I earn credits and bonds playing. I also think I'll enjoy it more once I'm used to the gun depression and positioning. The ability to flex so rapidly (> 50 kph) with that amount of armor is a blast. I've also had some fun games where the speed let me completely deny normally good positions to the other team (e.g. beat the fast TD's to the castle on Erlenberg so they can't get behind the sniping hill).

Edit: It figures I'd have a streak of really good games right after I came in here to bitch. I think that I really just needed to get used to -5 gun depression again. I've been playing too many comfy tanks.

Don't forget idiots sniping cupolas, but actually cluelessly hitting overmatch roof for 90+ guns.

The power creep is strong.Even the E5 in it's pre nerf form would not not look OP when you have wz1115, buffed is7, Maus, type5 to compete against it. Funny thing is the pub forum will still complain meds are OP. Tajj7 even had a topic about the t95 and scrubs on the forum claimed it's not OP (despite idiotic wr curves) and that e3 is weak because it has 3 weakspots (because they think the cupola is one and lfp = 2)

Whoa I did not remember I had replied in this thread. Atleast I have proof now that I had the obj 260 for 2.5 years now hahaha before the mission nerfs.
