Eminem is a legend with many great songs, but these 3 are some of my favourites. Edit: Also, fuck VEVO censoring the f-bombs...

Relatively new. But shad takes a whole different take on rap. He tells a story minus all the cussing/bitches/etc.

Personally, I find quite a bit of pre-90s stuff to be unlistenable (Rakim/Eric B, Public Enemy, Run-DMC, etc). Their flow/delivery and the beats didn't age well at all IMO. I didn't grow up listening to this stuff so it doesn't hold any nostalgia for me to even want to listen to it more than once out of respect for their influence.

I'm quite picky when it comes to rap, I mostly prefer jazzy stuff but it still needs to keep the hardcore vibe a bit
