I wonder when the gaming version will be released.

With a mild overclock its faster than 2 Vega 64's in Crossfire in some benchmarks and also almost 4 times faster than a GTX 980 ti in some benchmarks.

you do realize its not meant for gaming. People will buy it for gaming nonetheless.

I've seen leaked graphs on what it can do for deep AI learning and dropping $3k for that is well worth.

Gaming wise its impossible right now to know how much of an impact Volta will have. We're not sure if the card will use HBM2 or DDR5 or even DDR6 (rumor?) for the gaming additions. For the cards intended crowd, however, this is a no-brainer

That's the important thing. The miners wasting all their money on something with even worse returns than Vega, and leaving all the gaming GPUs alone, AMD and Nvidia.
