Supertest: Obj. 726, the tank without lfp

52 posts in this topic

Do not worry, this thing will be balanced by having the fuel tanks and ammorack being behind the Upper/Lower plate, so that the Jagdpanzers 420 HEAT can blow it assuming it shoots down on it.

What is even more amusing is the fact that on top of that retarded armor layout and bylat mobility it for some reason also gets a retarded gun that outDPMs the Super Conquerer/FV215B...

plus it seems to have great gun handling,  2 sec aim time plus 0.35 accuracy is something that a medium would have

I remember when this and the obj 279 were stated by WG that will never be made because they'd be too OP. Everything powercreeped so much these are now fine...

They said that about the 5A back when the Chinese heavy line was first introduced, which is why the 113 is a thing.

They also said the Mauschen would be "broken" because it would be too OP top tier and trash when fighting 10s.

Maus line changes was the big giant flag that everything will go to shit.

Tier 10 meds, TDs, arty and lights were all giant flags.

I don’t know about the FV4005 s1 autoloader but the T58 155 was a thing(prototype mock up at least)

This thing, I don’t know even if it’s turret rotates or not, doesn’t seem even counter balance

I've never been able to find a picture of it with the "turret" turned. It doesn't sound like they spent much time with it in this configuration before moving on to Stage II.

Yes but Maus line changes was the flag indicating that we were going down the impenetrable tank vs corridor route.

Have to agree here. (Arty not so much)

Power creep was always a thing.(first real taste for me personally was the hype 59s release and subsequent influx) But its getting far more blatant due to a decrease in playerbase IQ (what i like to call the CoD effect, as gaming becomes more mainstream the IQ suffers)

They have dumbed down the game enough for the average pleb to "have fun" which allows them to pull off this bullshit without losing any money by players walking away.

Still I'd grab one of these in a heartbeat. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

I like how the article says the weaknesses are the gun depression (same as almost every other Soviet tank) and the mobility (40 kph with 15 hp/ton).

Not sure they understand what a weakness is.

I presume this thing is being considered as the top PM reward tank, which is about it's only saving grace cos after like 3 years of PMs there are still only 20k Obj. 260s on the EU server.

What bothers me the most is that there is no reason to grind any line aside from the russian one. They get the best mediums, the best tds, the best lights and now they will get the best assault heavies (277), only missing a good hulld down heavy (SConq), a broken super heavy (Type5) and the Bat Chat (which they tried to nerf before if you guys remember)

If we look at the state of the tech tree now, all the German tanks are useless, the American line only gets the Patton as a competitive tank (but a 140 is just as good so no reason to get one), Chinese tanks are overshadowed by the 430U/277, the Brits only have the arty and the SC, Jap the Gojra tanks, the French only the Bat. Sure the Italian and Czech  line are unique but you can live without them.

So practically aside for few exceptions grinding anything else than russian tanks is a waste of time as you only get worse tanks than the vodka ones.

Object-726.png?w=1280&ssl=1

Extra stats - terrain resistances look terrible, overall it looks like SConq without depression (comparable gun and the mobility might be similar aswell) , we'll see if the armor makes up for that.

lmao the one stat that makes sense to be really good (terrain resistances should be literally 1/2 of other russian heavies due to quad tracks)

Not terrible by Russian X HT standard, probably same traverse and resistances as 260, only beaten by 277

76% traverse (1.247/1.73) on medium vs 72% traverse (1.247/1.63) on medium

122 can overmatch 40, and minor things that camo nearly doubled the highest camo X HT.

Take 260 as standard its still too good for now, unless its armour model is actually crap

Super Conquerors are weak outside defensive hull down positions, huge weak lower plate, weak flat sides and slow top speed so struggles to cross open gaps quickly.

That thing goes 40kph and looks overall more mobile/agile, and the hull armour from every direction is likely to be way better, plus it's unlikely you'll be able to track and do damage to this thing.  It might be hard to track this thing full stop.

It's a rolling bunker that bounce stuff with ease from the sides as well.

Plus it has more alpha than the Super Conqueror with similar levels of DPM and gun handling.

The only thing the Super Conq has over this tank is the gun depression.

200mm upper plate is also the thickest front plate of any Russian style heavy isn't it?

Nominal Yes, Not defending the 726, but from the look of things it has less angle and no pike noses, pike noses add compound angle to the front. egg-shaped means the facing front always at flatter angle. Really interested to see its armour model before going into conclusion.
