Go for JoaT rest is good, heavies don't have as much importance on crews, throw food in when every you feel like it or want to max out.

Get JoAT, drop Med for Food? SConq get's a lot of flak from arty, no?

As an alternate proposal:

With the advent of reusable consumables, JoaT and Preventative Maint don't help enough as other skills, IMHO.  Just drop AFE to run food and put on the FF Directive for 2 bonds.

Commander: Sixth Sense/BiA/Repairs/Recon or JoAT?

Gunner: Repairs/BiA/Snap Shot/???Camo

Driver: Repairs/BiA/Off-Road Driving/in which order: Clutch Braking, Camo, Preventative Maintenance, Smooth Ride, ?

Loader: Repairs/BiA/Safe Stowage/Situational Awareness/Camo/Adrenaline Rush?

Camo on heavies you say?  When you can cross in front of the bowl on Mountain Pass or go east on fish bay without getting spotted and disappear in open fields you will see value.

Except max camo on a Maus etc barely adds even one percent, when meds have 480 VR it doesnt help in the slightest when the most you can reduce their VR to is 460, Super Conq fares a bit better but still.

Is this universal for all tanks (MT/HT) and even RU/CH fireworks meds?

Fair point (and I wasn't suggesting that).  It was more of a relative use case of JoaT/PM in the age of reuseable consumables vs Camo on a pimped out SC.  Generally, a heavy only needs 3 skills: BIA/Repairs/Top Role specific skill.  The rest is just min/maxing for the tank/playstyle.

Dropping AFE for food and running the FF directive is a good alternative for lessor skilled crews or if you don't feel JoaT and PM are viable in the current game state.  A fire with the firefighting skill will cost you about 40% or your HP (nominal tank HP not remaining HP); on tanks that burn a lot AFE is still required.

View range on heavies is very good as you can spot a lot when in a frontline hulldown position. So recon>>>joat and you could even switch vents with optics as the rof and aim time on the sconq is already enough even to permatrack heavies.

For directives go FF so that you can use food. 2 bonds per game are nothing as you should still make more bonds than  you use

Well with Sit. Awareness/Recon + Food + Vents I'll hit 445+ anyway...

yeah but it's not like going even higher above 445 hurts or does nothing - burning extra camo is really useful especially with the fuckin swedish ninja TDs in the game

Before the stun mechanic I had no issue dropping medkit for food. Absolutely do not do that now.

With BIA and rammer/vents, your reload/DPM will be 7.18s/3,341. Add food and we're looking at 6.89s/3,485. If you want to make the investment, an Improved Rammer will kick it up to 6.69s/3,585.

If you run food drop the AFE and run a Firefighting directive like nabucodonsor said.

The Super Conq is an exceptional tank, maxed out you have the HP and firepower to seriously impact games.

Never push the battle button without a repair kit and a med kit.  The super conq has 17mm of engine armor and all arty players know that they can get 1K damage shots on SC where they are only getting 200-300 on Types and Maus.  That med kit will flat out be the difference between wins/losses
