Object 140 drivers thread

I became quickly enamored with the Object 140 in the test server.  Firstly though the early results

I've always loved my American mediums, especially the M46 Patton.  The American gun depression is a huge factor for me in allowing me to get shots where they can not normally be taken as well as grab good defensive positions.  Unfortunately, the American meds don't always offer the type of hull down protection and speed I'm looking for.

I also drive the 62A.  I enjoy the tank and think it's great but I have not been using the tank to its full potential.  I have some trouble adjusting to lower depression guns.

Enter the Object 140.  It offers better gun depression (according to the forums it's only one degree better but it either seems  better or -6 is the 'minimum' I'm comfortable with) and excellent speed to go along with the troll turret and small size.  I've read and heard numerous times that the top of the turret can be easily overmatched but just got through a few battles when I went hull down and bounced everything that was thrown at me.

The accuracy of the gun is ever-so-slightly worse than the 62A but is not noticeable to me at all and while the turret traverse goes from 48 to 40 it is also not an issue whatsoever.

This is quickly becoming my favorite tier 10 medium, even more so than the Leo or M60 (yes I love my M60).  It can do it all in one tough little package.

I'd be surprised if this tank does not replace the 62A in clan wars.  It's just better.  It's also fast and maneuverable enough to act as a scout if need be.

the obj 140 beats the T-62A. its smaller, faster, has better gun depression and its on the move accuracy is the best in the entire game. The hull armor is also very, very nice. the only problem is the upper section of the turret which is paper. The 140 honestly feels like the true successor to the T-54 that the T-62 never was. you can simply yoloswag across the entire map and just decimate people, but this time with acceptable gun depression. 10/10 my fav tank in the game 8D

WG are so pro.

The T-62 was whopping 8mm taller then the Obj 140...Clearly historical accuracy is very important.

It seems we the dimensions of the Object 142, not the Object 140.

I quickly fell in love with my 140, its so awesome and IMO it is considerably better than the 62a.

Got both of em recently through a "hard grind" on the T54, taking advantage of the 30%+ credits special, so i grinded both in about 3-4 weeks and i firstly got the 62a and thought it was awesome... till i got my hands on the 140, its just way smoother to play because of his better gun depression and lower profile/size, and its mobility is better too, his only drawback compared to the 62a that i can identify now is the turret, being easily penned sometimes because of those huge cupolas.

I enjoy the T-62A, not nearly as much as I did the T-54, but it is decent. The Obj 140 seems like the right tank after the T-54. A tank with speed and the ability to bounce rounds off the turret like the 54, the laser of a gun off the 62A, and then add GUN DEPRESSION!!! Yes please!

Great tank, and I'm sure it will have a very vital role in CW's.

The T-95 is taller than the Jagdtiger in reality.

Really loving the tank so far, which is a refreshing change from the T54, which never seemed to agree with me. Got my first pool's medal ever in one of my first matches with it, and the good times keep rolling.

Object 140 is retardedly bouncy for some reason.

Enemy arty super xvm whores platoon, 183 down very early, I get all my modules knocked out on so I was pretty much useless.

Situation seemed grim, our pubbies were dieing fast, but behold

Object 140 gets a steel wall+spartan because at 84 hp he can bounce 6 tier 10 rounds in a row.

#rng pls

It might be slightly wider, but it's shorter in both length and height.

Wider is better in this case, imo.

It can angle more from cover(how trollbounce happens) before exposing front sprocket.

Played 8 matches in the Obj 140 today.  I gotta say I like it better than the T-62a by quite a bit.  The camo is better, that little bit extra gun depression makes a difference, and the hull actually has some bounce to it.

My favorite game so far: http://www.noobmeter.com/replay/1003141513.50087149778989939  T-62a never would have bounced that many shots from my experience..

So far l've got strong feelings for it and would bang.  My first world problem right now is that I unlocked and purchased the E3, 50b, and Obj 140 all in the span of 2 weeks.  I also sold my E-75 and rebought the Obj 704 so I'd have a suitable Tier 9 after transfering my T-54 crew to the Obj 140.  TL;DR I've got too many shiny new tanks to play.

More games in this tank. It feels slower that T62  but its more nimble.

That gun depression just makes it though.

I'm having a difficult time adapting to the 140 so far, granted Iv'e only played 24 games solo in it for something like a 38% WR.  I do recognize that it's my fault for doing so poorly in it but I just can't get the hang of this tank yet. I run rammer, vert stabs, optics on mine with camo on tank, transferred crew from T-54 which is like 68% into 4th skill.

I believe the problem is I am being too aggressive at the start of matches and not utilizing the full potential of the tank by staying alive, I tend to go all out when playing new tanks to test their strengths and weaknesses and then adjust from there.  Anyways some advice on how to more effectively play this tank from some people with more experience would be greatly appreciated as I kind of just dread taking it out anymore.
