It was the fact the crash killed the mouse driver that threw me. Stranger was that after leaving it for about an hour it seemed fine. Then broke again on the next restart.

Enjoyable or not, it ruined the game's end-game content, especially when you don't even need to grind to participate, you can just buy viable tanks.

IS-3 is still the best all-round heavy tank. T37 was better than the CromB and Type 64. You couldn't buy a tier 8 LT that was viable.

Is cool, WG have plan for that. We shift viable lights to 9s, then prem light is viable comrade! Oh, and here's another one too. 0.33 accuracy just like all the accurate high tier lights.

The one trouble with your plan is that it was in Brisbane - and nothing is open late in Brisbane. So it was really just a ruse to get someone back to your room.

hope you have your drinking pants on - Jimmy's a machine... whatever you do, no matter how tempting his offer can be - don't take off your pants. Trust me on this.

On an unrelated note - I'll be in Brisbane around Sept 20th for about 5 nights, last time I caught up with WoT players up there I don't know what happened but the next morning I woke up with a broken tooth and a Mike Tyson tattoo on my face - lucky it came out in the wash... How the fuck that tiger got into my hotel room I will never know.

Date leonibus!

And yes, a few year's worth. It's a remarkably logical language which in a way is kind of cool coming from english' wtf is going on sort of approach.

Side note, hit an all time perfectly lead shot today... 900ms ping (thanks to steam's stupid upload shit it does when you close a game), bulldog going full pace into corner a couple hundred metres away of karkov behind those mounds, and nailed him.

I got a classic myself the other day:  fleeing for my life on pilsen, in the wz132, doing at least 50km p/hr, shooting at about a 5 o'clock angle, shot and killed an IS6 poking out from behind a pile of hetzer hulls. RNG to the max.

Finally got NBN, spent a blissful day of downloading bulk porn @ 3-5mb/s. Jump on a day later to find it cant even load the speedtest page:trump:

I blame Labour.

Thanks Liberals.

I guess it depends on the area. I went the 100/40 plan when NBN became available in my area in May and I check the speedtest reasonably often - and it's generally 97-98/37-39. Can't complain about that but there are horror stories out there. People I know have successfully stopped paying their bill while waiting for better results.

My understanding is that the hardware / infrastructure will be the same regardless, but that one of their monetisation methods is based on the speeds. Hence if i could have theoretically gone for the 100/40 plan i'd assume the link would be capable of that so they'd just throttle me.

Side question but the sales dude mentioned that basically all the down/up speeds are driven by the NBN and are out of their control. Plus that they'd be set regardless of which onseller you go with. A bit annoying as i'd hoped for something with more up at the expense of some down.

Yes the infrastructure is the same but if the ISP does not purchase enough bandwidth from NBN then speeds are definitely affected as they throttle customers to limit the amount used. A friend of mine works for an ISP which has started doing this some time ago when they merged were taken over by TPG and he tells me the customer complaints have gone through the roof.

I imagine distance from the exchange (just like with ADSL) could be a factor as well as the type of NBN installed (Fibre to the Home, Node or HSC - unfortunately this option is not up to the customer).

As a customer, however you do have rights and if the ISP is not living up to their end of the bargain, then you are not obliged to continue to do business with them, regardless if you are on a 2 year contract or whatever. The Telecommunications Ombudsman is fantastic in this regard - even though the projected speeds have the preface "up to" before their advertised speeds, it is reasonable to expect a certain level of service especially if you are paying for it.

Fear not - when it works well it is awesome!
