Lazy, skipping the tunnel in favor of an older pic.

I was once proud of my specs, but that whole age thing crept in...

EVGA E758-A1 3-Way SLI (x16/x16/x8) LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor BX80601920

GeForce GTX 285 Black Edition 1GB 512-bit

Vigor Monsoon III LT Dual 120mm Fan CPU Cooler

CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin PC3 12800 Triple Channel

Added in another 12GB this year.

Does the i7 still make me a tryhard? It was the only i series processor on the market when I built this...

No but the bottle on the desk makes you awesome.

I managed to pick up three ASUS VH242H 23.6"s last black friday for a steal, around that size seems to be a good compromise between visibility and screen real estate. Another clanmate is running x3 27's, but with screens that large it's hard to keep the entire display field in your line of sight (Or maybe I'm just jealous   )

Yeah, I've been running WoT at 5760x1080 since beta. It's nothing short of a miracle that, with all of it's graphics issues and bugs through the years, WoT handles triple screen resolutions nearly perfectly. Aside from manually editing my aspect ratio in the config it's been nothing but smooth sailing.

I'd heard that the minimap defaulted to the middle screen, is there a work around for this, if I could get it to take up half of the right hand screen I'd seriously consider dropping another $500 on two more Dell 24s.

I've never ran into any issue like that, the minimap has always been anchored on the bottom right. The most likely reason for something along those lines would be incorrect x,y map position values in the config for a mod like xvm. If that problem did show up it would be fairly easy to correct with a few tweaks to those same values. There are also a few custom 5760x1080 hud tweaks floating around on sites like reddit's r/worldoftanks that seem pretty neat, but the basic layout has been good enough for me!

mine needs work but i'm probaly never going to get round to it as i'm poor and it will be fine for a wee while.

case: white phantom 410 (as stated further up best case ever well the bigger phantoms are good as well >.>)

cpu: FX4100 (was planing to replace it with a 6core piledriver but yeah might end up with a cpu from the next gen(steamroller?))

mobo: asus fx990 sabertooth (it needs better everything else to be happy >.>)

ram: g.skill 8gb 1600 ares

gpu: 7850 (was planing on a second)

HDD: 250gb WD raptor (going to be getting a 1tb drive to go with it soonish)

psu: corsair HX650

think thats everything no pictures as i dont have a decent camera.

plus i have a shitty dell laptop that can't do crap. next computer related thing i'll get other than the above HDD will be a new laptop that can actualy play games, though going to be a few years.

Alienware M18

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Intel i7-3820QM @ 2.7 GHz

GeForce GTX 660M GDDR5

12 GB DDR3 RAM

750 GB 7200 RPM SATA

I deeply regret getting this machine I got too much with it and had problems with it almost out of the box where RAM, vid card and multiple other things were replaced. I wanted to build my own desktop instead of getting this thing but we don't have the space for a desk and all. Instead I game using this machine, while it's on this here folding table.

Got rid of a bunch of stuff that came with the computer I originally bought (funny enough, the only part left from the original computer is the hard drive. All the rest I bought and added over the years lol).

Took off one crappy Philips 1080p LCD monitor that came with it and the second one which couldn't even get to 1080p.

Got myself two Samsung 24" 1080p LED monitors, a Razer Deathstalker keyboard and a new Blue Yeti condenser mic to replace my crappy C1-U.

I don't have pictures, sorry.

Some crappy case I got at the local CompUSA store (now a TigerDirect.com Retail Outlet... eh.... yay?)

Some 120 mm fans bringing air in the front and side and out the top and back.

ASUS M5A97 R2.0 motherboard

AMD FX-8320 overclocked to 4.2 Ghz on a Seidon 120 closed loop water cooler.

16 gigs of DRR3-1600

MSI Twin Frozr Radeon 7870 overclocked to 1150mhz core and 1300mhz RAM

HDDs:

2 TB for the OS and movie collection

640 gig that Steam shoves all the games onto

80 gig that for some reason FireFox is installed on. (Don't ask, I have no idea how the hell this happened.)

Windows 8

Primary monitor is some sort of 22" LG at 1080p

Secondary monitor is a shitty AOC 22" at 1080p

Tertiary monitor is an 8 year old Sony LCD (19" maybe?) at 1240x1024

And a 650 watt PSU, can't remember the brand.

Say what you will about WIndows 8, it's freaking stable. Never had a crash that wasn't related either overclock issues or crappy programming in Mechwarrior Online. Win 8 also boots fast off of a HDD. 7200 RPM spinning iron here and it'll cold boot in under 20 seconds.

Welp, I have no pics, but I'll post the specs anyway. :P

Nais Cais: Cooler Master HAF X (I had to wait a year and a half to get this case, and I do NOT regret it!)

CPU: Intel i5-2500K @ 4.7GHz (with stock cooler and no overheating, like wtf man)

Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z68X-UD7-B3

Graphics: EVGA GTX 580 3GB @ 1000MHz

RAM: G.SKILL 16GB something-something-low-latency-model 1666MHz DDR3

Screen: Badass Dell U2711 @ 2560x1440 (fantastic colour, but screwed up my first Dead Space playthrough because of mouse lag. I think that was just the resolution though.)

Other Crap: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate (the only Razer product I have ever considered buying; no regrets here either), ROCCAT Kone[+] (had a lot of problems at first, especially with driver updates, but haven't noticed anything for a while), Logitech 5.1 surround speakers (got them for free; sound very good)

:tank2:  :armoredcar:
