3marking the kv-4k, vstab vs irm? vstab is .11/.11/.10 bloom and irm is .12/.12/.12 w/mobility benefits. tank has good gun handling but bad aimtime, good hp/ton but slow traverse.
-
I don't have it, but just looking at its statistics on tanksgg, I'd go hardening, turbo (mobility slot), rammer. Then maybe swap the turbo for IRM on maps like Ensk where hull traverse trumps top speed. The mob. slot would help the IRM too.

kinda regret spending my gold on a wz-120-1, the black market was completely useless this year if you don't have the 5k gold to open today's deal.
-
Anyone use the aimtime indicator mod? Feels pretty good, would recommend.

It's been a must have for me for at least a few years (since I started using Aslain).
Shell flight time is the most valuable bit (especially for arty), but the dynamic aim time is great as well. Being able to time peeking before reload is fully finished, having a reference point when deciding whether to snap shot/aim partially/aim fully.
There is also a dynamic shot dispersion display; I have it disabled, but am interested in using it to test out some theories on equipment & gun handling.

tomato.gg looking kinda good, combines wotlabs, wot-news, and wotgarage features in one smooth website. got your session stats, tank curves, moe, etc.
feels kind of like betrayal to use it thooo

One big thing that stands out to me is having something similar to tomato's session log. Wotlabs' period breakdowns are great, but being able to see all your individual sessions at a glance and break those down is wonderful. At the very least making the current breakdowns more visible and not entirely hidden behind a Show button might be an improvement. I think that's info a lot of people are interested in seeing but might not know exists.
I also like that you can see your WGR there. I know it gets memed on, but it's something casual players like looking at.
Tank curves are also huge to me, but I'm not sure that's entirely within what you see for wotlabs. It also sounds a little expensive to actually make useful
I know this is absolutely outside of wotlabs' scope, but if there's a developer out there with more storage capacity than sense, any VBA replacement site would instantly become the most popular fansite in the game. There's a lot of demand. Showing the most effective/popular equipment/crew configs, tank economy stats helping people decide what to buy, etc. are all things people adored and just don't exist currently.

I'm running the standard rammer/vstab/optics, nothing weird, and definitely wouldnt run optics if I had a better crew. I'd love to try some dif setups though, tank would benefit a lot from turbo.

thats it boys, never re-added stats to all our posts, time to go back to ignoring every post written by someone under 4k

I mean if I was interested in playing WoT as a first-timer in 2020, you bet I'd be buying an account second-hand instead of grinding from scratch. Why spend time and money getting tanks you would actually want to play, versus just money? It'll be slow as hell making progress without meta t8 premiums, and WG doesn't exactly sell those for cheap. Why not pay a small premium and get some decent crews and t10s on top?

pubbie might be wrong about his hackusations, but his gaydar is on point

@orzel286 so you can simp on the non virtual equivalent of vtubers

Anyone else not really like playing the EBRs? I didn't mind the Hotchkiss much, but everything beyond that feels clumsy without super low ping.
-
SU-100M1 is so fun, pick one up if you haven't played it since the armor buff.
-
Skorpion is on sale, but at 10,100 gold it is by far the most expensive TD so far. I want the tank but that is way too expensive. They know how much people want it.

S1 absolutely for platoons @SchnitzelTruck. I don't think I've ever launched in it solo and yea it's pure bitch mode. You get wins in it by having friends and knowing all the bitch spots. Turbo is for going backwards faster!
-
I have both SU and Skorp(i got skorp g not while ago with coupon for 20% off). My take on it is; they are very similar and yet so different. Both are fun, and there is something in SU 530 alpha and its invisi hacks(with good crew), and there is something in Skorps 360° turret and its mobility. Skorp is tall, and that is good for some situations and bad for situations when you get hit in forehead and you cant hit back cause its gun is lower than its forehead, and SU; is low and can hide anywhere, but it cant shoot over some rocks and that is anyoing cause you need to overexpose to return fire. Skorp can be more aggresive cause of turret, but Su is perfect for ambush cause of camo and alpha. Skorp has better pen, but SU has bigger gun and can overmatch more. If i would need to choose only one, i would go for Su cause of more alpha and camo, that thing is monster when its not spotted.
-
Probably had more to do with their release periods but Skorp G is still my 2nd highest damage tier 8 behind the Caern, so I always had a soft spot for it as it is just so easy to play. Not the same with the SU, but it might be that T8 hit another wave of powercreep between them less than the difference between the tanks
S1 cuz siege is so quick makes it fairly easy to do well, go to a losing flank and it’s pretty much 3k If you have a bush to use every time but it’s so boring to play losing gameplay all the time
-
Is there no way to see all the styles you have applied to tanks? I just realized tanks can have a preset style and a custom style, so I have a ton of styles hidden under the other. Seems like all I can do is check every single tank in my garage individually.
-
one of my worst failings in this game is that after 10y i still listen to pubbie advice and requests that basically boil down to "kill yourself i want to do more damage"
-
Honestly how do people stomach playing T10. It is absolutely miserable.
-
i hate getting medium spawns in the spershing, tank is already mediocre even with goldspam, last thing it needs is to spawn on the bottom of westfield and have the match end before you get out of cap

Every iteration of Swamp was awesome IMO, I really liked every version of it outside the one where south couldn’t be played from one side. All the others were pretty good gameplay
Agreed. Except for the most lopsided iteration of Swamp, it was always a good example of map design based on a kind of rotational symmetry rather than the reflection symmetry of straight corridor maps. There was a lot of playable area depending on your vehicle. I loved that map.
I feel like there's a bad caricature of Swamp buried inside Empire's Border, in a way.

M4A1 FL10 is kinda fun. Slightly worse than Skoda T25, way better than the m42-57. On the other hand all three are literally M44 food, so...

LT-432 is today's advent deal. I'm tempted but passing on it, but if you're a big LT player and have some gold, buy it.

Absolutely fun. I play mine like a gimped medium half the time due to its mobility and its highly effective armour against same-and-lower tier tanks. Gun can be a bit derpy at times but is overall excellent. Has low profile and great camo so can bush-kemp when required. I know you ground through the tech-tree not that long ago, it is so much better than the tech-tree tier 8 it's not even funny.
-
I play it as an assault TD, i.e. badly.
My .50 cents:
- Gets mauled by the new fast heaviums (Obj thing, E75TS, Gatorade)
- Despite being a casemate TD gun isn't particularly impressive
- HEAT as gold exacerbates unreliability of the gun
- Scales a lot with how well you play vision games
- Overall fun but uncomfortable to play
Tbh I much prefer the JP II even after the mantlet nerfs - ymmv

i need a tanks sugardaddy

The turret armor on the M46 and M48 trips me up every time, its like my brain cant grasp that those two old paper turrets are basically soviet hovermed turrets now.

wot has such shit map design. we put our entire team in one square and won 11:0

Empires Border: Massive advantage to south spawn, quicker climb up the hill in south means they catch north spawn heavies halfway up.
Mines: North team gets up hill first
Minsk: South spawn has a platform that allows them to shoot enemy tanks contesting the middle undetected and with a height advantage.
Mountain Pass: LOL
Pearl River: North spawn seems to have timing advantage for both middle and north areas
Redshire: South spawn gets to farm enemy heavy cross + easily punish their LTs
Studzianzki: Win the middle ditch or lose
-
mountain pass seems win-wise balanced imo, unless u loose to many crossing, once they cross, the balcony side has it much easier clearing this side. If i loose, its because the team fails to push into enemy base succesfull.
On mines its more tanks / spawn place of your fast tanks / courage as map side, i loose hill equal much on both side (and if arty pre aims mid, instead of relocating fast) (also south can loose its arty at start, north almost never does)

I had at least 3 of those last night and wondered when this became a thing? Tier 9's with a 200 WN8 and 44% winrate bitching about teams is a thing too.
