  1. Thanks, @Deus__Ex__Machina! o/ Assassin friend. How have you been? That kind of sucks :/ I was hoping they might improve some things while I was gone. Arty is better than it was, I guess? They still need to limit it to 1 or 2 per game. Had 3 focus me on prok last night and it still sucks bad. @Kolni how has 9.22 specifically had such a negative impact? I thought it was mostly just adding tanks. Glad I'm not the only one having trouble with posting.
  2. Hey guys, it's been a while for me. I think I got kind of burnt out on the game and also Overwatch released. Gradually lost interest until I found myself not playing at all and the game didn't appeal to me whatsoever. I have to admit, though, I'm kind of hyped for 1.0. Anyways, it's been probably over a year since I even looked at the forum.. How is everyone doing? Who's still around consistently? Anything I should catch up on? I'd love to hear from you guys!   3. Why is this even a discussion? Stats and multiple opinions of unicums prove that the 215 has a higher skill ceiling but is less noob friendly. How is a unicum actually trying to say that winrate is luck in a tank that he can't do well in? This is such cancer
  4. Engine. I finished the grind without the gun and did fine. You get the gun with the E5 and I personally would rather get there 60k exp quicker than have a little better gun.

  6. For illustration purposes, let's just say a tank has 400mm of turret armor on top of a 20mm thick hull. If you shoot an HE shell with 300mm of pen at the turret, the shell will still explode on the turret and the real damage done will be determined by the blast radius hitting the 20mm hull armor. Penetration of the shell as of now is the armor going through whatever armor it hits, not the penetration of the blast radius. So even if your shell has way more penetration than the armor within the blast radius, it only matters if the shell itself goes through that weak armor to do full damage. The
  7. Not unless it directly impacted the weakest plate... The penetration value you see is for the shell itself to penetrate armor, not the blast of the shell. Once the shell detonates, you could have 500 pen, but if only the blast radius from the shell hits the weak armor, it wouldn't make a difference.
  8. Yep, which is why it's basically better to shoot at the turret as low as you can, because then the blast radius will come across the top of their hull armor where armor is much weaker, giving you more damage and maybe knocking out a few modules (gun, driver, gunner).

  10. If you watch your replay and confirm you're shooting AP/APCR/HEAT instead of HE, if someone else shot the IS-6 at the same time as you, your shell could have bounced and looked like you did 4 damage.
  11. That would make sense given that a pivot would make it effectively faster, albeit still dumb. It is also worth noting that there are fewer pivoting tanks than non-pivoting.
  12. Yes, but it's of limited use. Your turning radius is smaller on a tank that can pivot, meaning that it will be harder to circle-strafe a tank that can pivot. When it can pivot, your center of rotation is in the middle of your tank, between your tracks. When a tank cannot pivot, the center of your turn is to the middle outside of whichever track you're turning on, making your radius wider. The only tanks this would really affect are TDs and heavies, since they're most likely to be circled around.
