    Some additions and corrections to the math part since I've been playing around with moe data for a bit:
    The "speculative" formula you mentioned is actually correct, it reproduces the numbers accurately every time (feel free to check for yourself). This means the EMA works like this: Each tank starts with EMA=0 and after each game about 1/50th (2/101 to be exact) of the difference between combined damage of that game and the current EMA are added to the EMA. The correct formula is (taken from Crabs thread):
    EMAi = EMAi-1 + K*(DAMAGEi – EMAi-1) • DAMAGEi = (Dealt by player in battle) + ( maximum damage by tracking or by spotting) - (team-damage caused to allies in battle) • k = 2 / (N +1) • N = 100 Some examples: Say you have an EMA of 1000 and get a 2000 combined game, your EMA after that game will be 1000+(2000-1000)*2/101=1019.8=~1020. Or you have an EMA of 4000 and get clicked before getting a shot off, your new EMA will be 4000+(0-4000)*2/101=3920.8=~3921.
    Your current EMA can be checked with Aimdrol's Replay Analyzer, just make sure the "Moving average damage" column is active in the settings and load in your replays. That way you'll know exactly how much you need to do to improve your percentage
    The article also gets one thing very wrong, it says that the moe percentage is just the percentage of that top damage value, but per my findings it actually isn't! There should be a straight line when comparing EMA with MoE percentage, but there isn't. Here's my data for the Skoda T 24

    As you can see it gets a lot flatter above about 80% which is why it's so much slower to improve in the higher percentages.
     
    Another small tip is to keep track of your spotting and tracking damage throughout the game. If you have 3k spotting and no tracking it will be worth going for the damaging shot after all since the tracking won't help your EMA unless you get it above 3k.

    Maybe you should've turned on your brain before making an angry forum post. This and the T32 FL are most likely rentals for the upcoming Frontline mode, just like the (R) tanks were at tier 10.

    I enjoy marking these weird novelty tanks and I feel like I should be able to do it. Marking with the 100mm just defeats the purpose of this tank and it would feel as about as much of an accomplishment as marking the 260 platooned with 2 arty. That said, I finally successfully completed my mission. Was bumping around in the mid-90s for quite a while, I think the influx of spaghetti tanks did help pushing it over the edge.

    I enjoy marking these weird novelty tanks and I feel like I should be able to do it.     Nope, exactly what I meant to say. The megagrinders are kicked out of R1 as well as the good players that only grinded as much as absolutely needed. So in the end all thats left is the good player megagrinders. There just won't be space anymore in R1 for people that aren't in that category, I'm calling it right now, feel free to quote me on that if I end up being wrong.
     
    And before people tell me how good players shouldn't be getting R1 in one game, that was never the point, there is a huge difference between one game and 2 hours every day for an entire month. Who came up with the idea of resetting people to 0 every single week anyway? Just make people grind up once, then slowly decay their ranks if they stop playing so they dont just chill up there for free, reset fully once every couple months at most.

    You describe exactly what was wrong before, even average players could reach very high ranks purely by spamming games. That issue got fixed. But it will at the same time kill the mode, less people play, the amount of chevrons added to the pool is orders of magnitude lower than before all while the cutoff is at the same amount of points. The amount of people in the 10% will be a lot lower, so in the end it all goes to the best players that also grinded their ass off everyday, which is not the point of a ranked mode.

    How can anyone play this tank?
    Armor efficiency in the VK 30.01 P, a tier lower, with better gun handling, dpm and massively better speed: 0.47
    Armor efficiency in the Tiger P: 0.56
    The armor bounces nothing, doesn't matter if its at range or close, doesn't matter if its a tier 9 TD or a tier 5 med, they all go straight through the front, at this point I just have to play it like a Tiger I with a permanently stunned crew.
