breeeze got a reaction from no_name_cro in IS-6 Gold Challenge - Revisted
I'd predict it to be somewhat worse than two years ago, the armour is still strong, but there are just so many more tanks that resist 175 pen nowadays, IS-3(A) is unpennable frontally, T32 is iffy, T34/T29 arent reliable pen anymore, and there are several new tanks like IS-5, O-Ho, T54 prot etc.

I've been looking for a decent and stable (decent teams that never play a game after the first evening dont count) ranked team since the mode started, so I'd be very interested. I should be able to play almost daily and I have pretty much every useful T8 tank there is, except the RU and arty. Not sure if I am stronk enough to make the cut so let me know about that.

breeeze got a reaction from rirarumpel in Discrediting Smooth Ride once and for all
    Here's how it actually works:
There are 3 different dispersion coefficents, moving (forwards/backwards) per km/h, track traverse and turret traverse both per °/s. All those get jumbled together in some formula with the current km/h and °/s values to give your overall aim circle size. Smooth ride will only effect the moving value, snap shot only the turret traverse one. It would be very interesting to know how that formula actually looks like, since it doesn't seem to be a simple "multiply by their respective km/h / °/s values and add it all together" type thing, since for example the 13 90 moving in a straight line at full speed has about 6.6s effective aim time, if turning track and turret at the same time it only goes up to 7.3s, so it looks more logarithmic (which would actually discredit anything that only effects a single one of those values).

Not entirely sure why buffing the T110E5 was necessary, but there you go.
Not entirely sure why buffing the IS-3 was necessary, but there you go.

Because Wargaming knows how to balance a game.

The Lorr is definitely bad, but I wouldn't rate it as the worst T9. Autoloader + Speed goes a long way sometimes and it can absolutely own shit in the right circumstances.

breeeze got a reaction from Folterknecht in Routers
Modem = the thing that you plug the phone line in.
Router = the thing that you plug into the modem and which provides multiple lan ports and your wifi.
You can change the router, you cannot change the modem. In some cases (like at my place) both are in one device, in which case rip in pepperonis, you cant change it.
Although I kinda doubt those kind of problems could come from a router, especially when connected via cable. You should check your speeds with speedtest.net. Even a router provided by your ISP, unless its the pinnacle of china trash, should have no problems with streaming/watching videos.

IS-6 is a straight up massive fucking buff, you have to be shitting me. Lost the weak spot behind the mantlet, because while the thickness dropped the angle of mantlet increased and hole became magic 30mm (and no, it's not a mistake, check the Super P's turret hole). Now instead of ~175mm that already small spot is ~230mm. Cupolas, already small, got more angle such that the effectively pennable zones shrunk. Lower plate is in fact stronger by ~10mm, optimally angled IS-6 now offers nothing on the entire hull worth less than 230mm+, heavy on the PLUS. Driver door got stronger, turret sides got thicker, only decrease in the entire tank is a loss of a couple degrees angle to the lower half of the front plate, which is like -10mm. In exchange it basically lost 2/3 of its fucking weak points. These guys are brilliant. Nothing to do but run Super P/IS-6 all day any more I guess.

breeeze got a reaction from CarryMode in I need a big update
Turns out when you have a decent PC you can actually play games! With more than 30fps at more than min settings, yay!
So yeah, I never really played many games, even in the last couple years all I've played was AoE2HD, wot and a couple hours of Crysis (at min settings of course), so I am WAY out of the loop, except for the biggest AAA titles I know literally nothing. I'd love to hear some suggestions for great singleplayer games, let's say since +-2007, however since I don't like spending much $$$ on games, I'd like to be able to get it (including sales of course) for <5€, or if it's a particularly awesome one, <10€. Yes, that rules out new titles, but that's not important for me anyway. Steam is preferred, anything not coupled to some bullshit software (looking at you Origin/whatever <insert big publisher>'s equivalent is) works too. I don't mind getting it on Kinguin or similar sites as long as it's a Steam key. I'm exclusively looking at playing singleplayer, don't care about MP, I have wot for that stuff.
To give you some idea here's some genres I might like:
    - Racing (Although I believe there's no good stuff left, I have Grid/Grid Autosport and I heard the NFS series has been getting really shitty after the original Most Wanted)
    - Anno 1503/The Settler 3/4 type strategy games. Less combat, more resource management, building and stuff,
    - Generic FPS, I liked Crysis, but I'm open for almost everything. I played a Quake-style game (Cube 2: Sauerbraten, yes, it's called Sauerbraten) for a long time, but I guess that sort of stuff is more multiplayer. No horror/scary type stuff and watching Circon play Fallout 4 that kind of RPG style doesn't fit me either.
This is what I've been looking at so far (probably nothing surprising tho if you read anything above this, but I'll add stuff to it that has been suggested to keep track): http://steamcommunity.com/id/breeezegames/wishlist/
    Stuff I probably won't like:
    - Horror/Scary stuff/anything really dark
    - RPGs
    - Indie pixel stuff
TL;DR: I wants cheap gamerinos with graphics that won't make my eyes melt.

breeeze got a reaction from Golem501 in XP calculation for rampage? How do get 3k XP game?
I know it is for grindy weekend/month mission, which means you basically need to just play more for it, but this is a single game mission and 3k is IMPOSSIBLE without shelling out money for a premium account,
Imagine there was a mission in regular battles that needed you to get 2k XP including premium bonus in a single game. Not that hard with premium account but in my 14k games I have not once had more than 2k base XP in a battle without prem.

Honestly, apart from the obvious and hilariously stupid drivers hatch buff none of these values should be trusted until we can look at the model ourselves. But I honestly only expect the worst from Wargaming. Really hope they don't fuck up my WZ-111.

If you arent an audiophile and want good enough, reliable, and comfortable I cannot recommend logitech G230s (or G430s if you want) enough.  They do exactly that extremely well. I love mine. They arent overly expensive either. They cost me $90NZ so I presume you could pick them up for $50 US

Can't say anything about the Sheridan as I'm only at the Scorpion, but light tanks in general seem to be quite underpowered atm.
As for arty in PVE, I believe it's fine IF you cherry-pick the missions that have open maps, and your team isn't a complete failure and just runs straight into the bots, carrying is definitely not reliably possible. My PVE winrate is 95% in tanks, 87% in arta (without any platooning).
Missions that I personally think are ok for arty: Cavalry, Onyx, Phalanx, Quarterback, Scorpio, Wildfire.

Quality content is becoming rare on wotlabs this is review is an exception. Good work!
A bit off topic: The f*** arty thing is becoming boring. But what really pisses me off is how you get treated in game for playing arty: As an arty player you get reports for unsportsmenlike conduct for loading into the game in an arty, from the enemy team for hitting your target, from your own team for missing a target or for not aiming where yellow bot XY thinks you should be aiming,...
I have had exactly two bans for unsportsmenlike conduct in the last 3.5 years. Both came after weekends during which I played almost exclusively artillery. F*** anybody who abuses the report system and f*** WG for creating a system that doesn't know an appeal, provides no evidence and isn't based on actually checking for a wrong doing but rather hands out bans soley based on the number of reports.
