  1. Got this as a wot comeback gift for myself. Quite nice but the dpm seems somewhat low considering the alpha and penetration and the suspension nodding so much with even small motion is a surprisingly annoying feature. Worth the money for me but seems to be more geared towards actual scouting and less for doing damage which leads to some bit sad games when map and mm say nope.
  2. Problems with AW are multiple and quite obvious. I love Obsidian to a fanboy levels but their lack of experience when it comes to this type of game is clear. Slow progress, back and forth changes, sloppy project management and constant overhauling of same features stick out and the level of fucking up that has gone to the economy of the game is borderline comical. My.com isn't really helping though, they seem to have been very eager to try and make money out of the game and they've pretty much fucked up every single event possible and at times seem to be doing their very best to drive away players. The introduction of tier 9s and 10s came way too early when one considers the size of the population and state of the game in general but I suspect the Russians really wanted to have their armata in the game asap. As a result the mid to high tiers were very messed up for the longest while. Final blow for many people was the "missile patch" that introduced shooting missiles on the move etc. and made competitive meta pretty random and uninteresting to play. As for AW RSOP everyone pretty much ran out of things to achieve and grind in game last spring already and pretty much only booted the game up for tournaments and eventually everyone active already had all the possible prizes one could get and stopped doing even that. Most people moved on to other games (csgo,dota, wt, wot) while waiting for balance 2.0 to hit but the endless delays are killing people's interest. Personally I'm bit torn when it comes to b2.0 as many features sound horrible and general impression is just "wot with modern tanks" but on the other hand the gameplay videos I've seen seem actually pretty good. I hope they actually release a working and polished version even if it means further delays and I will be giving the game a proper try when that happens. Not sure if AW RSOP will make any sort of a meaningful comeback at this point though.
  3. First impressions on this after 22 games would be pretty much summed up with "Holy shit who the hell thought this was a good idea?" But I guess the obvious answer is something along the lines of marketing department and Serb's space station fund. Feels even more of a tier 10 tank at tier 9 than e50 and should clearly have either 200 something pen ap as standard round and/or gimped gun depression or something. Right now the only real downside I can think of is me as a player getting over confident and doing stupid shit.
  4. I actually preferred emil 1 over 2 for their tiers. Sure the turret is weak against high pen guns but you are tiny and have reasonable mobility and better shaped hull for peaking over ridges. It is very easy to show the tip of the beak on emil 2 which is pretty good way of negating that turret armor. In related news the turret sides are still kinda shit and the longer reload is pretty bad as well. Finished emil 1 with 106 mostly solo games with 75% winrate, 2535dpg and 1303xp average without using any free xp. The grind was quite pleasant and the tank didn't feel weak at any stage though a lot of gold ammo was used with both guns. Emil 2 took 126 games with a lot of free xp on modules for 75% winrate, again mostly solo, 2636dpg and 1189xp. Tried to get through it without spending free xp but the stock mobility was pain in the ass and the small gun really emphasized it. As for Kranevagon, in my opinion it is a massive upgrade over emil 2.
  5. This feels a lot like smaller CDC with worse mobility, view range and accuracy. I'm seriously considering playing this with the 105.

  7. If 2.0 is successful launching on steam instead of the craptastic mycom launcher might be very good. Steam only works if your game is good enough to not get stomped by the community though. So yeah I wouldn't hold my breath about that but there certainly is some hope left.
  8. @Stige I'm still fairly certain most of your issues come from trying to play MBT like wot heavy and refuse to adapt to not being top tier which both are doomed to fail. Having played wot quite a bit over the last few months I daresay being bottom tier is much worse in wot in most tanks, especially if you are grinding with shit crews etcetc. In AW the high mobility and generally good capabilities of vehicles enables players to do things on a completely different scale even when facing higher tier opponents. Most problems are pure and simple l2p issues. MBT meta is also the best for all classes. We saw what over the top AFV buffs did and the whole game transformed into super high speed glass cannon gameplay with sub 5 second TTKs which isn't much fun for anyone (the main reason why I'm not playing anymore) and at times there have been very high TD populations which is pretty close to what wot with high numbers of high tier TDs is, you get spotted and you get blapped. Luckly the 2.0 is probably going to be much closer to wot so people can stop trying to learn new things and do the same thing all over again (which they probably won't because they already have wot). AW up to last few patches has actually played pretty differently from WoT which most people don't understand due to the superficial similarities and it seems to be very bitter pill especially for good wot players who expect to be just as good with no effort. But yeah I don't have much confidence left for the AW devs despite being a pretty big Obsidian fanboy. I hope they'll surprise me.
  9. AW is better than WoT by quite the margin as far as the gameplay goes. Content is still very limited though and population isn't exactly great either even though most of the issues that drove people away have been fixed. Not to mention how the balance 2.0 is a huge question mark and can, and probably will, change everything to the point where it is essentially a completely different game. Arty change is great but like others have said not enough or soon enough to fix anything on its own.

  13. Clicking some red tanks in one of the more specialized vehicles available in Armored Warfare. I hear this is so bad of a vehicle that it was the only premium in game the famous Garbad rated 1/10.
  14. Here's one platoon Leo2A5 game from yesterday. The team does the worst lemming train I've seen in a long time but turns out the red team feels much the same way and insist on fighting us instead of getting a free win. Comms included and much fun was had. For me at least, wot offers nothing that comes even close to this.
  15. Ok this'll sound rude but this is largely a l2p issue. T90MS is more than capable of dealing damage and making game winning moves against tier 10s. I'll answer you better at murobbs since writing the same message twice seems kind of pointless.
  16. @IceChant If you are tier 8 mbt in tier 10 game one pretty good approach is to go with one of those high risk high gain plans like super aggressive flanks on rushing in to a risky position. You are pretty much expendable and playing the "regular" mbt game will have you in disadvantage obviously. This does require some game sense though and can naturally fail horribly but also has a reasonable chance to get you one of those tier 8 carrying tier 10 games. @Stige https://discord.gg/4MZcxd3 Feel free to join and ask around.   17. @breeezeI'd almost argue that tier 8 and 9 are in much better place than tier 7 thanks to centauro 120 and challenger 1 being there. Merkavas would also be an issue if people would master the point front towards enemy part of gameplay. Leo2a5 at tier 8 is bit broken as it is now but they usually find a way to fail thanks to low hp. Tier 9 Chally is bit of an issue as it feels more like tier 10 but everything else seems to be pretty ok imo. Tier 10 MBTs are still too good at everything even though sphinx is amazing and pl01 has its strengths as well.
  18. The only real downside of 2A5 at this point is the low hp that make it somewhat unforgiving and allergic to artillery. When you play it correctly and don't get carried away by the potential it is pretty amazing though even against tier 10s. After playing some Leopard 2 I'm actually convinced that Abrams is currently the worst tier 7 mbt as well. Abrams has only marginally better frontal armor and worse turret plus it lacks a lot of the utility of leo's diverse ammo load out. I'd be happy to see if the tiers 7-9 Abrams got a dpm buff to make them stand out a bit but I don't think it'll happen.

  21. Yeah tiers 9 and 10 were introduced too fast for the population but I'm fairly certain that russian market and that tank factory sponsoring the whole thing had an impact on it. It would've been much better for the game if they'd kept tier 8 as top, not given out so ridiculous amounts of xp through events and diversify those tiers first. Then again, I don't honestly feel that the high tier balance is especially bad compared to lets say wot which has been balanced for ages. As far as balancing goes I think the people responsible for it probably aren't all that great at the game and just stare at the numbers and then resort to stupid "lets give it more hp/pen" fixes. I've used the centauro 120 as an example before but it pretty much sums everything up pretty well.
  22. To be honest the high tier balance isn't that bad. Sure there are pretty obvious problems but most of the issues people complain are pure and simple l2p problems coupled with some really bad maps (cold strike and highwall namely). I also have this feeling that Obsidian still has the singleplayer focused mindset when it comes to the whole beta and they seem to actually be testing things and changing stuff a lot while players aren't really used to that in free to play game and see the beta as just a soft launch. Too bad the NA population seems to be either more sensitive about these things or just not that into tank games in general.
  23. Thanks. Here are the finals from my point of view: Pretty entertaining battles to both play and watch even if I say so myself. Good tournament with solid organization and epic improvement on the streamer part of things from earlier EU events. I think the general level of play is somewhat improving on EU.
