  1. Invisible TDs are awful for this game. Just watched a rhm and S1 behind a bush or two advance towards each other and they weren't spotted until proxy range. Combine that with all the base camping spots WG likes to install to appease shitters and you have a recipe for "Who can suicide the most tanks first to get within 50m with 10 128mm guns"

Try playing the Skorpion. This TD has the camo rating of an aircraft hangar.

  2. kinda wish anonymizer didn't give names like nggrlvr and dasreich_8888

  3. Is this an unconventional opinion..? Nerfing gold rounds is the wrong way to go if you're not going to add in weakspots and reverse some of the armor buffs that have taken place in the past couple years. And if and when it's done, the decrease in damage should scale with the increase in penetration and perhaps shell velocity, that way tanks that only see like a 20mm increase in penetration with their prem shells don't get dicked over.
  4. Yeah the Tiger II should be very good now, it's usually crewed by complete muppets though so it feels about the same to play against or with.
  5. Honestly I wonder if food and/or 10% gas+turbocharger+grousers+improved rotation mechanism would actually be viable on the Renegade. Instead of a fast heavy you are now a giant undertiered medium. Given though that tier 8 mediums are currently pretty weak I think this detracts from the usefulness of this setup somewhat since bullying irrelevant tanks even harder isn't necessarily the way to win games. Still would be fun for the memes, like imagine just booking it up the Mines central hill at 50 kph and utterly destroying the shitter FV4202 or whatever that decided to contest you for it. Or you catch another heavy who's isolated and instead of trading shots like he expects you start circling him to death, huehuehuehue
  6. Do we know yet if Vertical Stabilizer was nerfed or not? Edit: nvm it's not apparently also nice job screwing up the bounty equipment WG
  7. Ha, look at this, apparently we help people improve so much that even the bot wants to join us now. ngl tho thinking back to it this a bit extra i mean all we really ended up being were a bunch of 4chan-lite shitposters with various mixes of ghey, edge, furfeg, and crippling depression
  8. Vents does not directly lower dispersion multipliers to my knowledge, tanks.gg displays this incorrectly. It does technically decrease multipliers indirectly since it enhances the effectiveness of smooth ride and snapshot, although the actual effect is pretty negligible.
  9. >Pure tier 8 game in Renegade on Paris

    >Single handedly kill 3 enemy tanks from full health at beginning of match

    >Put 2 high damage rolls in enemy Renegade

    >Put 2 high damage rolls into enemy T28 Proto

    >Put a high damage roll into enemy Skorpion who bullshit snipes me

    >Team loses 11-15

The state of the human race truly is questionable at times.

I solod the C2 corner on serene coast in my STB before, against 3 tanks, and killed one of them basically before he could get into position, and had it cleared in under 2 mins.

      We still lost

    3. M4A3E8sherman

@Assassin7 Yeah if you basically manage to put your team 3 up for free and they still lose there wasn't much hope

I can't imagine what would have (not) achieved by themselves

    4. Assassin7

we would of lost the C2 corner as well as the peninsula lol, our team sorta just drove through the middle, avoided getting farmed purely because of me clearing the corner so quickly and pinning everyone that tried to peek out to take a shot at a teammate, and then sorta twiddled their thumbs while the enemy rolled peninsula and capped out. I couldn't be all over the map at once and physically didn't have enough DPM, in the STB lmao.  :-/ still did like 6k damage

  10. The skill level of the player base has somehow managed to drop precipitously over the past few years. Seems it's uncommon to find even a single other person in a match whose winrate breaks above 54%.
  11. even in berlin gamemode arty sucks ass

  12. how has low tier "meta" changed? t rex and i got 800 dmg each in T7 combat cars lmao, tiny tanks be lit yo
  13. wtf should I buy with frontline tokens

    1. echo9835

Engineering is good for playing the objective. Get it on everything you can. After that smoke screens and spotter planes for objectives, Inspire for 15% crew skills try harding, and arty and planes for people who hate fun.

  14. As others have mentioned, T32 never had a good gun and it only gets worse with age, its main selling point was turret armor which WG now gives to everything. Having turret armor is no longer a pro, lacking it is a con. Tiger I used to be one of the best tier 7 tanks but the armor and alpha meta does not favor it and the penetration is merely okay by tier 7 standards nowadays. It was not a bushwanker and if you are using it as a bushwanker you should probably stop, nevertheless it would likely be forced to play support much more than the olden days. Type 62 was meme tier bad for a while, then it greatly benefited from the LT MM changes, fuck wheelchair tanks though Rhm Borsig may not be one of the best tier 8 TDs anymore but it is still a bushwanker with a fuckoff gun, thus remains usable and doesn't get raept too bad in tier 10. Thanks WG for encouraging bushwanking, you rock (to be fair this has lessened somewhat over the past few years) I'm guessing you already gleaned all this already tho from the previous replies.
  15. Don't really care much for studzianki as a map but dat witcher music tho

did you watch the gingertail cover of the studzianki theme on YT? that was pretty awesome

overlord theme is also pretty gud imo, even if a bit cliched

  16. There's been so much power creep in the last few years that the T26E5 is merely decent now, the Caernarvon trades a little bit of mobility for substantially more firepower. Chrysler K is another one, while it looks a little silly both appearances and stats wise it's very effective if you spam gold and sidescrape.
  17. Ops Core AMP If you don't want to blow several months' worth of disposable income on muffs, Howard Leight Impacts and your choice of earplugs (Surefire Defenders are decent) are a good budget option that will cover most bases. If you have a firearm for home defense, I'd also recommend keeping a pair of electronic ear pro nearby to grab when SHTF if you have the time.
  18. I think you got it mixed up, you mean 40 HE because it always does damage and 2 APCR to counter unicum hacking. But seriously though, I actually carry 6 HE, not because it's in any way good but because there are times when you see enemy tanks who are hull down/sidescraping and are slightly exposed with their gun behind cover. Even if it's doing scratch damage, you're still taking advantage of an opportunity to get free damage on an enemy who can't hit you back, and if you can permatrack an opponent and empty all 6 shells into him you can do about as much damage as 1-2 standard rounds. That being said, most games I probably don't fire a single round of it. So.
  19. Instead of having a cupola as a weakspot, why not have the entire turret be a weakspot? Make sure not to poke further out of cover than you have to. If you know you can't afford to take a hit from someone looking at you, wait until they're distracted or change positions. On flat ground, you can sidescrape. This sometimes works better than you might expect because of the large tracks, and depending on which side of the tank you expose, you can hide the tumor.
  20. Even after some disappointing losses and a couple potato teams that just got totally rolled over, I think I still have a higher win rate in my Renegade than I did in any of my other tanks after 100 games. The railgun speed APCR is pretty sweet for times when you get the opportunity to snipe, to the point where I sometimes switch to it for the shell velocity alone. Might be, I find it plays kinda like an overweight tier 8 M46, personally. You don't have true medium mobility for dancing around, but it's just durable enough so you can act like a heavy in a pinch as long as you're not taking crossfire.
  21. Renegade stats at 100 solo games: 66% WR, 2043 DPG (kinda low, I know), 0.57 armor ratio

I would definitely buy this tank if you're getting a good discount on it.

Damn. I'm envious. Can't make this tank work. Getting better because I stopped relying on armur but still 1.6k only

    3. lavawing

@hazzgar what's your setup on it?

I run bond vents, bond rammer, standard vstab, food, 40 APCR and 2 HE.

Unlike a lot of the other heavies at this tier I actually feel it makes a difference to tryhard in it as this tank relies so much on its gun. Getting snaps consistently every game nets you at least an extra shot in DPG.

    4. hazzgar

I don't run pure prem. It's a money maker. Remember I'm a filthy account migrating xvm camo using asshole so I often need to make credits.

With pure ACPR I'm sure I'd pull over 2000 dpg, probably way over. But then I'd still want to use the Lowe which while I know is a different tank but if we talk pure gun I think about that tank

  22. I find that the armor is really inconsistent. Sometimes you block 2k damage and sometimes you block 0 damage. It's definitely not good by heavy standards, and is pretty much what you would expect from the patchwork of armor values and angles you find on this tank, but it's got enough so that you can feel pretty confident about poking a lot of the time. One on one it actually trades great against other heavies. The RoF makes them eat 720 HP worth of shit for every shot they fire at you, and even in a brawl, you'll definitely bounce the occasional shot. Nothing to rely on, but in a duel, the M54 makes most other tier 8s choke on ass. The problem comes when you're facing multiple opponents, in which case you use cover and sidescrape track baiting to limit your exposure. The mobility is above average for a heavy, but the terrain resistances make it feel like it's fighting against the ground sometimes. The speedometer reads what you'd expect, the tank is turning like you think it would, and yet it just feels somewhat clumsy in an odd way. At the same time, the Renegade is actually pretty comfortable to play, you don't feel so gimped like you would in something like a Tiger II. I'd agree that if played well it's probably better than something like a Defender in a lot of scenarios, although it can really get punished in high tier matches when you're in a bad spot. In terms of how good it is as a tank, it's probably up there with the best, but it's not as overtly brainless and cancerous as some other vehicles which makes shitters think it's only average. Also tier 6s can't even penetrate the cupola, which can make for lulzy clubs.
  23. what is type 59 like now lmao

    1. Action

it feels a little more comfortable to play but still gets shaftet by 3-5-7... played 10 matches (pretty small sample sice i know) and was top once and all t8 once... the core problem remains...super P is also a little more fun now.. havent played 343 or is6 yet.. and probably wont till theese russian glue sniffers fix MM

    2. rojo180

Not sure how a Type 59 gets shafted by 3/5/7 because in that MM its top tier as 1 of 3 tier 8s. or there are only 3 tier 9s

    3. Action

90% of matches you are in a tier 9 match (5-10 or 3-5-7) the rest xou are in full t8 or top tier. ie. you still get shaftet by MM because 90% of the time you have to fight t9s
