  1. I know, just openly lamenting about the death of vision and my uber-buffed vision tanks.
  2. True, but you end up with diminishing returns. When I came back to the game running food and optics on my snipers (Tier 10 4202, Leopard 1, and AMX-30B) all had 4+skill crews and just under 500m view range. In theory I should have been burning through enough camo to melt the paint on the tanks I spotted, but in practicality it wasn't enough to make a noticeable difference in day-to-day gameplay. I think I'm running around with 450ish m at the moment on those, and I think the STB is just under that.
  3. I run Rammer, Vents, VStab, Onigiri, Situational Awareness, Recon, and Brothers-in-Arms, so I think with the viewrange capped at 445m swapping optics for anything is overkill.
  4. 17? Jesus wept, I would have been your 7th/8th grade science teacher... [edit] Depending on the size of your high school, you may get Athletic PE as an elective where you're in the weight room for a class period per day; with a non-idiot for a PE teacher they might just let you work out if you have your own plan. Probably too late for scheduling to be honest, but if you're a Senior on a 4x4 block schedule, you might have nothing to do for one block and it might be worth a punt.
  5. I lost 70 pounds in 5 months (I'll take "Barely Healthy Weight Loss Plans I Kinda Made Up Myself" for $500, Alex.) back in 2013, and I'm now at the point where I'm bored with my workouts. I spent the past year bulking up, and while it's nice to actually grab a 25 lb plate, I'd rather be trim than strong, since I run, so less mass = less effort needed to run at the same pace. Since I'm about to walk out the door to go to the gym (No really), I would say that getting a gym membership is far better than working out at home if you're starting out. You think it'll require less motivation to work out at home, but the opposite is true. A gym provides a different environment which helps you focus better and work out more effectively. Whether it's your university's gym or one of those 24-hour gyms, get in there. I live in a dumpster fire of a town, so apart from the trashy private gym, Planet Fatness Fitness is the best deal. $10/month for unlimited gym usage. Since they cater to people who think they want to be fit, weight racks will usually be empty, so you can take your time and work on your technique. Plus, there's the motivation of seeing literally herds of waddlebuses think they're going to get skinny by hanging on to dear life on the treadmill at max angle and walking speed while you do what they're afraid to do. Also, take Jack's advice on general working out; my old personal trainer pretty much told me the exact same things when I started trying to tone up after I lost all my weight.
  6. Westfield - 27 Pearl River - 31-3 = 28 I bet the heat map for this shows less than 30% of the map is ever used. Karelia - 29 Live Oaks - 30 Lakeville - 7-3 = 4 Just played a game on south where the entire team sat around their spawn trying to kill the one scout. Far too easy for tomatoes on that side to concede 90% of the map to the opposing team. Malinovka - 36+1 = 37 Strangely enough, I miss the scout charges to the buildings in the south to light everyone up at the beginning of the match meta. Murovanka - 32 Port - 28 Province - 25 Redshire - 37 Ruinberg - 13 Fisherman's Bay - 7-3 = 4 A single tank can hold the centre hostage as long as it's regularly lit, so stop sending 5 people to sit there and do nothing all match long. Yet another map full of wide-open spaces that do absolutely nothing. Northwest - 32 Steppes - 37 Serene Coast - 27 Swamp - 9 Widepark 18 Cliff - 22 Fjords - 18 Himmelsdorf - 36 Dragon Ridge - 29 Ensk - 13 South Coast - 31 Overlord - 19 Arctic Region - 24 Sand River - 8 Pilsen - 16
  7. This doofus in his IS-4 sat there and let me pump 5 APCR rounds right through his driver's hatch on Tank Alley in Himmelsdorf, and he couldn't hit me because by the time he would get around to shooting at me, I'd have already hit him then ducked back into cover with time to spare. Then he demands a 1v1 after I literally took all of his hp without reply? What's up with Latino players--especially the ones from Argentina--and their eMachismo? I should have triggered him by mentioning the Falklands.
  8. Westfield - 24 Pearl River - 31 Karelia - 32 Live Oaks - 30 Lakeville - 10-3=7 Current meta is so bad on this map. Zzzzz. Malinovka - 36 Murovanka - 32 Port - 28 Province - 25 Redshire - 37 Ruinberg - 15 Fisherman's Bay - 10 Northwest - 32 Steppes - 36+1=37 I tried to give another map a +1 to spread things out... but I found something desperately wrong with all of them. Serene Coast - 27 Swamp - 12 Widepark – 21 Cliff - 28 Fjords - 21 Himmelsdorf - 36 Dragon Ridge - 29 Ensk - 16 South Coast - 31 Overlord - 18 Arctic Region - 27 Sacred Valley - 3-3=0 Get out. You don't even get 3 corridors on this map. Erlenberg - 10-3=7 SerB should troll us by putting the cap points at the original locations. Sand River - 14 Pilsen - 16
  9. Drop me one; got 6 Tier 9's since in my time in BULLS I was the designated Tier 9 grind platoonmate. Plus I enjoy my Skoda T50.
  10. That exact same clownboat from -GO- shoved me out into the middle of enemy fire last week because I didn't want to push into a platoon of 183's and JPz E-100's in my 50B. Once the TD's were done raping me with a sandpaper condom, he sat there and let them reload before he stepped out and got erased from existence.
  11. Westfield - 26 Pearl River - 31 Karelia - 32 Live Oaks - 30 Siegfried Line - 10-3=7 Sometimes Wargaming makes 80% of a map inaccessible through terrain. Other times, it just makes 80% of a map inaccessible by making them utterly useless to the outcome of the match. Lakeville - 16 Malinovka - 35 Mittengard - 12 Murovanka - 31 Port - 27 Province - 28 Prokhorovka - 15+1=16 Old school camping and vision map. Best played in a platoon, but I won't lie, it needs a bit of a meta shakeup right now. Redshire - 36 Ruinberg - 21 Fisherman's Bay - 18 Northwest - 31 Hidden Village - 12 Steppes - 34 Serene Coast - 27 Swamp - 18 Tundra - 9-3=6 When "I'm going to sit at the base of the hill instead of attempting to take the hill" is a risky and daring option for the map's meta, you know you have a stale design. Widepark – 24 Cliff - 27 Fjords - 24 Highway - 15 Himmelsdorf - 34 Dragon Ridge - 29 Ensk - 20 South Coast - 31 Overlord - 16 Arctic Region - 27 Sacred Valley - 12 Severogorsk - 12 Kharkov - 9=3=6 What kind of city has a cliff 400 metres from the city centre? Speaking of the city centre, what an utterly useless tomato magnet. Erlenberg - 22 Sand River - 28 El Halluf - 14 Pilsen - 16
  12. Got my Skoda T50's first mark just now. Guess that's about as good as it's going to get in that tank considering the damage needed for a second mark.

  13. Westfield - 31 Pearl River - 31 Karelia - 32 Live Oaks - 30 Siegfried Line - 16 Lakeville - 25-3=22 The original corridor map. Now you can't even get into the town without having your progress stopped by some putz trying to sit in the open and snipe unknown tanks in the centre. Malinovka - 36+1=37 One of the last of its kind--a vision map. A little something for everyone, but even then it either takes 2 hours for the battle to commence for everyone to get to the hill, or a push somewhere quickly stalls out into a campfest. Mittegard - 21 Murovanka - 31 Mountain Pass - 18 Port - 27 Province - 28 Prokhorovka - 16 Redshire - 34 Ruinberg - 21 Fisherman's Bay - 20-3=17 It's worse than bad--it's boring. Camp the 1/2, 8/9/0, or play an endless session of peekaboo in the center are your options. It was actually better when the NA meta had people rush the 1/2 from the south and pin the tomatoes in the houses. Northwest - 31 Hidden Village - 15 Steppes - 34 Serene Coast - 27 Swamp - 18 Tundra - 15 Widepark - 30 Cliff - 27 Fjords - 24 Highway - 24-3=21 You want open spaces? You've got them! Now here's this ginormous valley that kills your movement across said open area and a bridge in the middle that acts like an early-game tomato magnet. Himmelsdorf - 32 Dragon Ridge - 29 Ensk - 20 South Coast - 31 Overlord - 20 Arctic Region - 27 Sacred Valley - 21 Severogorsk - 15 Kharkov - 24 Erlenberg - 28 Sand River - 27 El Halluf - 17 Pilsen - 19
  14. Westfield - 31 Pearl River - 31 Karelia - 32 Komarin - 6-3=3 Get out. Live Oaks - 30 Siegfried Line - 18 Lakeville - 25 Malinovka - 35 Mittegard - 24 Murovanka - 31 Mountain Pass - 18 - Port - 27 Province - 28 Prokhorovka - 17 Redshire - 33 Mines - 9 Ruinberg - 24 Fisherman's Bay - 23 Northwest - 31 Hidden Village - 18 Steppes - 33 - Serene Coast - 27 Swamp - 24 Tundra 21 Widepark - 30 Cliff - 27 Fjords - 27 Highway - 24 Himmelsdorf - 31 Dragon Ridge - 29 Ensk - 23 South Coast - 31 Overlord - 28 Arctic Region - 27 Sacred Valley - 24 Severogorsk - 18 Kharkov - 27 Erlenberg - 28 Airfield - 6-3=3 I've switched to playing south no matter what just to change the tedium of sitting at that stupid corner up north. Ugh. Sand River - 27 El Halluf - 19-3=16 It's Komarin with sand; they've fixed it so many times, and even after getting the corridor treatment it's still boring. Pilsen - 21+1=22 I don't really like this map per se (It's literally Stalingrad... with more buildings and less steep riverbanks), but I do want to point out the 1-2-3 lines are a good idea if you make a city map. The warehouses have multiple entry points, and a decent platoon will let the battle engage, then whip around the blind side and start munching hp for free, since teams usually only engage one side. A city map with more than one of these would actually be... interesting.
