This tank actually looks too good. Better than the Rhoomba in every relevant way, other than camo and actual size. Powercreep intensifies, the Lowe sheds a lonely tear in the deep corners of the garage.

    So, hi guys.
I've been very inactive the past few months, and I probably should have made this post a while ago, but well, here it is.
The reason I've been so far from pretty much everything is that, to put it bluntly, my health is going to shit. I've been to the doctor more times than I can count in the last 3 months. I've been having chest pains and sometimes I can barely breath. If I don't change, I'm going to die. And that pretty much put me in a pretty bad depression. Then when I remembered WoTLabs and everything I promised everyone I'd get done, I'd feel worse and worse.
Well, this week has been a small ray of sunshine for me. I've since started a heavy diet with close medical supervision. For the first week since I can't even remember when, I've felt no chest pains at all, I've not been out of breath for no apparent reason and I generally feel a bit better.
So first things first, sorry for not being present here, barely answering PMs and generally not getting anything done on WoTLabs 3.0 or the replay hosting. Right now, I gotta be honest with myself and with you guys. I can't get these things done. I've barely been to my computer at all and that's not going to change for a little while. I'll do things here and there, but I'm mostly gonna be focusing on, well, not dying.
Well, that's it. Love you all <3

Yeah the concept seems promising! But never again will I ever pay for any Early Access, Beta, Starter Pack, or any of that crap.
I got baited hard by Armored Warfare. I got baited hard by Guild Wars 2. I got baited hard by Diablo 3. I think I've finally learned my lesson.
They say the game is in pre-alpha right now, so not even close to release. Could be as much as 2 years. I'll keep an eye out though, thanks for posting.

Pyr0freak reacted to KenyanWarlord in What maps do you loathe playing and why?
For me, Prohk-a-I can't be bother to spell out the shitty maps shitty name is by far the worst map in the game for me. I hardly ever play tanks with thick turrets, so your usefulness on the battlefield is extremely limited. You can either go 1-3 line and camp for 10 minutes, hit the mid ridge and get fucked over by tanks with armour or go to the hill and get fucked over by tanks on the hill and on the mid ridge who have thick turrets.
Normally whenever this map comes up in the rotation I just suicide up the middle at the start. Can't be bothered to waste 10 minutes instead of playing 3 games in that timeframe.

Have you played it? No? How about you wait at least test server to see if it's really crap? Have you ever been shat on by WT E100? Yes? Then why do you ask why people want it removed ASAP?

Yeah... I'm not feeling the hype. It's just Kewei stirring it up because everyone gets inspired and wants to do mad damage like him.
It's still a slow piece of shit. It's still the ultimate skycancer bait. You still get shit on by flanking MTs that broke through any flanks your pubbies abandoned. People still HEAT the superstructure and pen every time. The gun was always amazing, so those that can utilize it the best get hella good games.

Speed causes you to lose some damage but the gun just lets you do things you shouldn't be able to. Also I think I fired a lot of gold near the end, doesn't matter, still made 1.7m credit profit.

Actually, no they won't. Rammer and VStab are, generally speaking, the best two pieces of equipment you can mount.
Take Rammer / VStab / Optics, and train Situational Awareness for that 3% (5%?) extra VR boost. It will bump you up from 440m to 445m, which is cap, and this is enough. The tank has enough ammo, so spam away with Rammer!
I have not yet played a tank which does not want to mount a VStab (although others have said T22, E50 are some candidates). However, you don't want to mount a Rammer on tanks that have a faster reload than their aiming time if they're completely stationary: specifically, the M7 and the Crusader come to mind. Higher tier tanks with manageable blooms do not tend to have this problem.

    Hello,
I am here today to talk about the man known as SirFoch, whose YouTube channel is TheFochYou. I highly recommend you check his content out, and here is why:
He is a deep-purple player His play style differs from most unicums in that he almost never uses premium ammo He explains his thought process and map tactics during the game He is extremely entertaining and says it like it is I knew about this dude for a while, but not until recently when I started on the path to self-improvement did I really start paying attention to his videos.
I'm trying to advertise his channel a little bit because WoTLabs is full of people trying to hit that purple-tier gameplay, and while most people might know about QuickyBaby and TheMightyJingles, IMHO this guy is better than both of them and deserves much more subs / views. Of course, he simply doesn't upload that often or do giveaways / other crap to get him to that spot, but nevertheless I think anyone who hasn't seen any of his videos should check him out.
    His YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheFochYou
And as for those who know about him, what do you guys think of SirFoch?

Pyr0freak reacted to Rexxie in Why aren't YOU playing KV-5? The Better-Than-IS-6 Appreciation Thread
    I three-marked my KV-5 tonight:
I'm pretty proud of it - it's my first time doing this. It took swallowing my pride and going gung-ho with the APCR, but I think it was worth it (even if my wallet doesn't.). I love the tank, it's just so damned good - 3k+ dpg and 68%+ solo winrate is completely possible in it. Keep track of your opponents' angles and you'll have no trouble gunning just about anyone down.
They aren't a huge amount of trouble; the IS-6 is a lot tougher now, but it's still not hard to chew through it. The O-Ho and Type 4 would be obscenely hard to deal with, but you never see them. It's mostly a nonissue. The IS-3, Spersh, and JT88 are the tanks that pose a real threat to the vehicle; turning a corner into a goldspamming Spersh is game over.
As true as this is, it's kind of irregular to get into games that both have the teamcomps and happenstance to force you into a frontal engagement with these vehicles. After nearly five hundred games in the tank, the number of times I've needed to frontally engage something like an E-75, T95, or VKB can probably be counted on my fingers. T-10s and T-54s can be real problems, sure, but only with a decent player behind the wheel. The T-54 can straight up lose to the KV-5 in a fair fight, and the T-10 often finds itself having to chose between getting an angle on you and actually having functional armor. Having one position itself well enough that we aren't basically trading blows is damn rare.

Not to be a jerk, but if that's "every game in the KV-5", you're playing like garbage.

Don't miss out on the Rammer.
I run Vents / Optics / Rammer and GLD / Optics / Rammer on my Cromwell and Cromwell B. (3 marked both)
I can't say I really noticed the difference when mounting GLD, so I stuck with Vents for the extra view range. However, this is personal preference more than any tangible difference. Some people also make an argument for Binocs instead of Optics. I ran this when I first started playing the Cromwell. It's a solid setup as well, but as my playstyle evolved to a less campy one, I switched the Binocs out for Optics.
So yeah, I'd suggest you try a combination of Rammer + Optics / Binocs + Vents / GLD (I'd say take Vents + Optics or Binocs + GLD because you don't need the Vents with the Binocs since you hit 445m view range anyway). See what suits your playstyle best.

Pyr0freak got a reaction from canadiantrex in How much of a difference has WoTLabs made in the WoT community?
A pretty huge difference for anyone who is willing to improve.
I spent a giant amount of time lurking this forum when I was an ultrabaddie, looking for ways to not suck ass. The opinion of good players on tank lines, mechanics, etc. was invaluable to me. This place is awesome.
EDIT: After spending a lot of time on this forum, many people (including myself) cannot even read the official forums anymore (and I used to post there a fair bit before finding WoTLabs). They are absolute cancerous garbage because there is close to zero moderation, and it got even worse when they removed downvotes.
For example, on the front page of Gameplay Discussion right now we have quality threads like:
"Would you all quit with the "Get rid of arty" threads already?"
"WHERE DID THE ARTY FRIENDLY MAPS GO AND WHY ARE THEY NERFED SO HARD"
"How Can A Unicum Get 5,515 Points Of Damage And Lose The Game?"
God forbid you read the content of any of these. It makes your eyes bleed after being accustomed to WoTLabs' standards for so long.
This forum most certainly has had an impact on myself and many others. As for the entire WoT community? Hardly. However, the resources are what matters. Anyone who gives enough of a fuck will go and search for ways to improve, and that is precisely what WoTLabs provides.

I don't think you've played enough games. I estimate I've sunk around 5000 hours into League over the course of 5 years, and that's just pure in-game time. I've seen it all. The amount of rage-quitters, shitters, and trolls is unlike any other. There's no other game that is such a wonderful breeding ground for massive faggotry. When you have the power to single-handedly throw any game, it empowers one to do some mind-blowing things.
Anyway, I don't want to get any more off-topic than that, but no, the average pubbie in WoT does not hold even close to as much power as one in LoL. Furthermore, WoT's RNG-based gameplay and larger team sizes ensures that you never really know for sure what will happen. In WoT, skill is hard-capped by RNG, whereas in LoL, there is no evident cap. You can make predictions that have better probabilities than others, but at the end of the day, it's up to RNGesus to bless your teammates and yourself to make those snapshots, pens, etc.

What are your stats? It is much easier to recommend a tank to a player at a certain skill level.
The M41 90 that's on sale right now is exactly 30.99 USD, but I can only recommend it to players above a certain skill level. It is quite easy to waste money on this game, because every premium is quite different, and everyone has really different opinions.
That being said, as your FIRST premium, I agree with Assassin7: you want to buy the one that makes the most credits.
For this, I recommend checking out this link: http://www.vbaddict.net/statistics.php?tier=0&tanktype=0&nation=0&premium=0&modeid=0&team=0&battles=1000&groupby=0&fieldname=creditsn&server=
The T34 has almost always been the king of printing money. It's extremely easy to play, but frustrates good players because it's boring to play. The runner-up (that's available) is the FCM 50t, which is quite a strong tank, but also quite infuriating in that it has no armour, no camo, and it is huge in size. It is really easy to do poorly in this tank: it's not forgiving at all. The Lowe is like an accurate T34 with much less alpha damage and much worse turret armour (but a bit better hull armour), and it is also frustratingly slow.
Basically, I highly recommend doing your research. Watching many videos, reviews, etc, and then waiting for a sale (one should becoming up very soon because WG's 5th Anniversary will be happening) before buying.

It's not so much the APCR as it is the gameplay of the autoloader. I dropped down to the Skoda T25 Tier 6 Czech autoloader to teach myself before playing any more T54E1 games.
Basically, my problem was that I like to snipe a lot, and you just can't do that shit in autoloaders. I've had much more success clipping out scrubs in closer combat (200-300 metres) than I generally prefer to engage at (300-400 metres).
