Fishermans bay.  It's actually a good and close match.  We start winning the city, so the E1 and I swoop in to mop it up fast.  Their bat's hit our 1 line at the same time.  Then this fucktard starts saying 'gg mm rigged thats why you win qq'  I told him to try more.  As I flex over to the 1 line to cover our cappers, i start getting cliped by this dipstick.  Who is still in A1.....full health.

My apologies, whilst I've read all the Rogue/Wraith novels, and clocked far too many hours in the games, I just kinda assumed "Rogue" farted out Lucas' mind for Ep IV. Time to google!
 
Silly me, we're both wrong. I misremembered the squadron name for Battle of Yavin (Red), and Rogue wasn't used as a unit designer until the Battle of Hoth.

Of course I'm a disciple of the books.  So some of the characters rub me the wrong way.  TBH they should have gone down the Thrawn wormhole for these last 3.  And calling a movie Rouge one but not having Wedge, Jensen et al in it pissed me off

I enjoyed VII, though I felt it was a near re-hash in tempo/beats/story-telling as IV.
VIII was... decent, but not thrilling. It had some great moments, but overall it didn't feel like a SW film, though it was in the SW universe. Not sure what it felt like... My wife made reference to the AMV-style editing for some of the sequences, and I'm tempted to agree with her.

They are, but they're flatter so your shells won't have trouble penetrating them at sub 10km ranges. Battleship AP can more or less bore through anything at close range (unless it's something wonky like British AP). You can citadel a Yamato with 8" guns if you're close enough.
When dealing with DDs don't bother switching to HE. Shoot them through the nose. BB AP is currently super OP against DDs as long as they aren't dead broadside to you.

I found being unicum easier in ships than in tanks but I'm also weird. 
There are a few important things that you should bear in mind (I won't talk about basic stuff like angling because you can learn that better elsewhere):
1. There aren't any good analogies to classes in WoT. Don't try to think of BBs as heavies or cruisers as mediums because you'll end up super confused. Play each class, watch vids and get a sense of what makes them what. Feel free to skip carriers though until they fix the UI.
2. Choose a "vanilla" ship line as your first choice. Don't pick something gimmicky like RN cruisers or something that will teach you bad habits like the German Battleships. I'd say anything Japanese is good as a starting line. All three lines have good capstones, are good most of the way up and will teach you a lot of the things you need to learn without teaching bad habits. Generally the older the line is the better for aspiring unicums IMO because they require smart play but are well balanced.
3. WoT is a game of bursting aggression, where you pick your moment and do all the things. WoWS is a much slower burn that requires you to read the map and predict the flow of battle five minutes out. Fortunately the pace of the game means that outside of a few super-tense situations you can keep on top of your minimap and guess what's happening.

and AR is vital to play German BB's well.  Your accuracy at anything 15+ is shit anyways so you're going to get it.

I run AP nearly all the time in BBs unless a target BB refuses to stop being bow on our if I know a DD is close by. Heck AP isn't all that bad against DDs because 5 overpens will take half this HP

Clan wars wouldn't be hard to do.  The entire mechanic is there with ranked and team battles.  Just make them 10v10.  Then you have a reason for people to grind and spend money to get to tier 10, and you'll make a good size portion of the playerbase happy

Or, and maybe this is a stretch, BB players could use their brains and execute turns when not under fire or when undetected. It is now substantially harder to citadel the ships because the trajectory at pen range is so flat. I'm fucking sick of WG giving Danegeld to battleship players.

Mostly this.  These Bismarck missions have 40+ BB's in que, with single digits of everything else.  And I like having fewer DD's when I'm playing my DD's.   
 
That said, I think there is some merit to theories about DD's declining.  More flavor than just having the Shim and Gearing to aim for at 10, 11k Russian radar, hydro on BB's have both contributed to declining torp boats.  Longer lasting smoke on Brit CL's has to some extent replaced friendly US DD's dropping a pile of smoke for friendlies to sit in.  

Well, I think DDs have experienced a slight decline in representation, however, that might have more to do with the Bismarck campaign then a meta shift. Some of the missions are just easier to complete with different ship classes. Hence the big uptick in BBs in the queue. But as someone that plays a fair amount of DDs I don't mind being one of two or one of three DDs in a game. It's definitely easier to evade detection and plan ambushes with fewer DDs.
