Yay, just got my first christmas present - book for learning C# basics.

Something went horribly wrong with games, gamers and hardware companies.
 
This thought came to me when I was watching youtube vid in which guy talks about how much 1440p/144hz is so much better. One of his arguments that really made me go wtf was - a guy standing in a distance has 15 more pixels, so he's way more detailed. Just because on your screen he takes 35 pixels now. Nevermind that he's standing a kilometer or so away. :v
 
I remember the days when 800x600 was a wet dream. I remember how much of a difference moving up with a resolution USED TO BE. Right now you can't even SEE A FUCKING DIFFERENCE. Except electricity bills, because your gpu has 150 million more pixels to display.
And this retarded pixel chase will most likely continue, because it's way easier to put an uncompressed 800k textures everywhere, than improve on actual features (like, idk - AA? so edges on everything stopped looking like fucking saws?) or ai, or STORY.
 
And there's another shitty aspect of this situation.
I just went on steam and looked up this fucking little gem - tetris ultimate. Recommended specs:
Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10 (32/64bit versions)  Procesor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz or AMD Athlon II X4 620 @ 2.6 GHz  Pamięć: 4 GB RAM  Karta graficzna: nVidia GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD5850 or better  Karta dźwiękowa: DirectX Compatible Sound Card with latest drivers WHAT THE FUCK?
Just for reference: first game boy specs (why? Well, tetris was one of THE games that made game boy as popular as it was): 4,19MHz 8-bit cpu, 8KB of ram and that's pretty much it.
 
Also: check requirements of any "pixel" or so-called "8-bit" games, then take a lok at what were the specs of 8 bit computers back in the day. HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU MAKE GAMES THAT LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE 8-BIT TITLES AND AT THE SAME TIME NEED HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS TIMES MORE COMPUTING POWER?

Felt like a true pedobear today....went to the gym, finished workout, cruising with a car trough downtown and there's high school studends going home....driving casually not really paying attention to them, just listening to the music and then all of a sudden there's this high school girl walking down the street with couple of her friends as i drive by....i'm cruising slowly, maybe 20-30 kmh and just as i'm passing by them she turns and looks at me and holy mother of sweet baby Jesus, is she the cutest fkn thing in the world....as she looks at me she noticed i was looking at her and she then looks at me again, but this time it was a proper stare for like 5 seconds or so, but this time she gives me this sneaky cute smile and looks at me the whole time as i'm driving by....my heart literally skiped a beat so hard i actually felt it in my chest...she's probably around 10 years younger than me, so yea that was pretty pedobear scene, but don't care, would marry 11/10
