  1. So... in the EBR 105 line, which wheely boi's are the stinkers? I read the T6 is pretty bad. Use convert XP to start at the EBR Hotch (Tier 7)? Lynx (Tier 8)? Straight to the EBR 90 (Tier 9?)

      The WZ-132 is fantastic, however, the tier 9 is a pile of vile trash mainly because the developers in all their wisdom decided the tank should have gun handling that of a tier 6 Soviet heavy. It's pretty absurd. I could not break past 47% win rate on that shit bucket.

      I'll try playing the WZ-132-A, and see how it performs, compared to my other Tier 9 lights. I remember the RU251 being zippy, but slow shell velocity, and it being really big. The 1390 is nice, T54-LWT was great, T49... well, it's T49.

      1390, T-54ltwt and T49 are in on a different level to the WZ. Those tanks actually belong in tier 9 and the WZ belongs in tier 7.

  3. I was thinking about grinding up to the WZ-131-1, but I guess I'll just play the 132, and unlock the 9, and just stop there.
  4. ^ This is good advice. I usually find myself going to weak flanks to support, and/or sitting behind the failing flank sniping and trying to keep the advancing enemy flank from rushing in, and folding over my team, praying someone on my team is paying attention, and decides to shoot at what i'm lighting up. Light tanks have no "staying power", so really... you just get one or two shots off before being spotted by other tanks and then getting mowed down while trying to run away. Now that I think about it... even if I think about running back to get one or two shots off and lighting up the enemy flank that's pushing, its probably better getting somewhere you can get cross shots, and support the advancing flank + maybe get a shot or two into the folding flank. Can't spot, if you're dead~
  5. Finished my Maus grind, started playing light tanks again. WZ-132... why is your gun dispersion so bad... *sigh, I wonder if the RhmPz is the better route (already have the T100 and the Sheridan). Hmmm...

      I should probably finish my grind on the 1390 first, and then get crackn' on the EBR. Since I have all the Tier 9 lights, except the WZ-132, i'll just keep playing it to get to the tier 9, and then start playing my 1390 I guess, and spend some convert XP to start on a better tank in the EBR line.

      Yeah I read about it, and how useless it is in the current game because it's meant to be played as a long range support tank? Why do you think it's so horrid? @Deus__Ex__Machina the no armor w/ low pen?

  6. Ground out the Maus, played the VK100.01P. Skipped the Mauschen. Didn't know the Captured Tiger (Tier 7 Twitch tank) gave free xp. Sitting on 150k convert XP. Maus is fun, slow, but fun. The VK100.01P really is a mini Maus. Didn't play the Mauschen, didn't look interesting, and it was a credit sink for me anyway. Rip crew skills though... trying to get 3 crew skills ASAP. Prolly going to grind the STRV or the OBJ268v4 next, weeeeeeeee!
  7. Ignoring the HP boost portion of tanks, just to talk about the guns... The tanks with high pen for standard shells = new padding tanks? Or... is this the return of TD meta? The tier X tanks with sh*t pen values on standard shells... yikes.
  8. Picked it up, played it 7? 8/ battles? My comments so far. - Using top gun, shell velocity is shieeeeeeeeeeeet, can't snipe. Gold spam is needed. - Armor feels pretty solid, people do aim for hatch, but unless they're firing gold, it will bounce same tier or lower tiers. - Slow ASF. Sitting duck for arties, oh and also, arties love you. - Same tier games, you feel like a boss. Bottom tier games, you feel like an XP pinata. Fighting same tier heavies, that know what their doing can be a challenge. Firing at heavies, shell placement matters a lot, even when firing gold. When bottom tier it seems like everything pens (turret cheeks, lower hull and even turret). Limited to peek-a-boo brawling in top tier games or being a meat shield. I think i'll play through it. It's not terrible, but being supported is needed. Being caught out in the open means artied or being swarmed pretty quick. Even light tanks pose a threat if they can get around you. It's horribly slow, even with the top engine, but I guess this is what driving a Maus feels like? Due to the x3 XP for the first 5 wins, coupled with the +x2 bonus, I've played only a handful of games (to farm the 5 wins), and i'm already at 60k xp. The Mauschen being 160k xp... I should be able to grind through this in another day or two. Kind of wonder what the Mauschen feels like, 440 damage vs 490 damage... a sprinkling of more armor, and some more pen... i'm expecting similar experience. Not bad, but since it's so slow, kind of boring at times.
  9. So I started the VK100.01P grind fully upgraded. On premium account, I got the 5x x3 XP per daily win, and added the +x2 XP additional experience. Already at about 60k exp in. This grind is going pretty fast, I should have the Mauschen unlocked & fully upgraded by the end of the weekend.

      Even gold can have issues with penning it. It honestly feels like a tier 9 tank that's one tier lower.

      18 battles, 55.56% win rate, 2,038 average damage... 2,613 wn8 so far. I should be finishing up this grind tomorrow... the x5 xp + the x2 additional XP from premium time, with boosters, plus the additional 50% xp booster this weekend... I'm flying through the VK100.01P.  I think I might keep the tank for a while, just in case I need it for missions or something later.

      Oh, and FK arty.

      You need to hit the cupola dead on, usually with gold unless you have 250ish+ pen on standard rounds. Even a perfect hit still has to go through 220mm of armor. It can bully as top tier but in tier 10 games, and games that are over in 3 minutes, it sucks pretty hard.

  12. @8_Hussars I think you're right... the Maus and the STRV-103B should be the targets. Now, the question is... which tank destroyer line would be best to go for first... The STRV-103B, or the OBJ 268v4 line? The Doom turtle line seems more fun, since it at least has some armor... hmm... (Thanks for reminding me about the 130k free XP. I know it's not much, I got up to 150k now. I'll probably save it to fully research one tier 8, before grinding some more to start the 2nd line, or maybe just save it to get to the Tier 9 ASAP.) I'm playing the ISU-152, but hate playing it due to the low pen, low mobility (lack of turret adds to frustration), low HP pool and no armor. I kind of just want to free XP past this, to get to the 704, fully research it, play it a few times, and just grind the XP from there to the 268 (i'll eventually buy it, since I have lots of extra slots left, and since I have OCD, just buy it to complete the line). I figure the Tier 9 can do everything the Tier 10 can do, and it's kind of like the T30 vs E4. *Sigh so many TD lines left.. ISU-152, STRV-103B, OBJ 268v4... Maybe I'll try the STRV line, at least it's fast? Go for the STRV line first or the Maus line first? When I play TD's wrong and get blown up early, I find myself jumping into something fast,with mobility & DPM so it takes the frustration off. I know it's a terrible idea to play tanks that aren't similar, but I just hate slow and/or stationary TD play. I can feel my blood pressure rising just thinking about getting blown up in a TD early game, and then jumping into the VK100.01P, and then not having mobility, getting targeted or ignored until the end of the battle. *sigh, I need to channel all the patience I have in me.
  13. Is the T-44-100 worth the $50  bucks, if you have the the T-54 Proto already? Yeah, it's a better tank (when not taking into account of armor), and yes, it's still better than the regular T-44, but the slight difference in accuracy/terrain resistance worth it?

      I would say no, they are too similar to be worth the 50 bucks when you already have one of them.

      Also having enough armour to force tier 8s and some tier 9s to load gold is good in this autistic meta.

  14. Help me pick my next grind. I free exp'd from the Charioteer to the sh*t barn, and finished my UDES 15/16 grind. I'm trying to pick the tanks that are more important for CW's first, and then for missions. Help me pick 2! (all tanks start fully researched - meaning, not stock) Missions wise, I'm on the T-55A missions, working to finish HT15 (thinking I might need Maus for this, I have the Type 5), light tank and TD's (for honors, but I think I can do it with E4/JPZE100/Grille15). For lights, I have all the tier 9's, and the T100LT for Tier X. For arties... I have T92, and the only other viable arty I see needing might be the Conq GC, but I think I might be able to cheese it with the T92, am I right? Last bit... I have about 130k free XP, so a lot of tanks here... I can pretty much start at Tier 8, since I have them unlocked, and just need to buy the tank. Only the STRV 103B, I would have to start from Tier 1, and free XP to tier 8. I could grind some more x5 free xp for another week to ensure I start with all modules, so I don't have a stock grind. Here are the options & my comments/opinion. Tanks are in random order. 1. T110E3 - Start at T28 (use free XP to start at tier VIII) - The T95 Doom turtle might be fun, E3 is used time to time for CW. - I figure the line would help finish TD missions in the future (doom turtle/E3). - Not having a turret frustrates me, but... it actually gets armor... so... it kind of balances it out? 2. Maus - Start at VK10001P (use free XP to start at tier VIII) - Never ground it, I always see people blocking huge numbers with it. Is used time to time in CW. - Probably more reliable since Type 5 got nerfed. - Always wanted a Maus... 3. STRV 103B - Start at UDES 03 (use free XP to start at tier VIII) - I have this line discounted from the Christmas boxes, all the way up to to the Tier 10, and have 2 fragments for it! - I don't really like TD's without a turret, but see people doing some serious damage out put with the Tier 10. - Bought the STRV premium tank, seems gimmicky, and positioning is absolute key, I know it has great camo and a laser gun. 4. OBJ. 268 - Start at ISU-152 - I know it's not a CW tank. Probably buy the 268 to finish the grind. I hate how the ISU-152 has no armor. 704 also is a heat magnet. - They do have great camo however, and a nice boomstick, but once spotted, pretty much toast. - Would it help me finish missions? I have the WTauf4 and the Grille15... - Should I just free xp to the 704 and grind it from there? 704 gets the BL-10, with real pen... 5. OBJ. 268 v4 - Start at SU-101 (use free XP to start at tier VIII) - Still strong, after nerfs. Used in CW's. Probably would help me finish missions. - Sucks to start at Tier 8, since I hate tanks without at turret. Is the camo still good on this line? SU-101 over the ISU-152? - End of the line, plays completely different from the Tier 8, Tier 9 seems ok, but can be penned, and pretty much wrecked by arty. - I'm hesitant to start this line, because the SU-101 feels like a ISU, with a weaker gun, but has ability to move around, is it worth the grind? 6. AMX M4 54 - Start at AMX 65t (use free XP to start at tier VIII) - People will probably say skip this line. Is it worth going down? - I think the tanks look cool, it's a French Maus? - I know it's not a CW tank, but it looks cool. Should I save the free xp for the real Maus and start at the VK? 7. EBR 105 - Start at Lynx 6x6 (use free XP to start at tier VIII) - I'm not much of a light tank player, but I see people having a lot of fun with this line. Is it that fun? They are annoying asf to kill in games... - I see EBR's in CW... - Would this help me with completing missions? 8. OBJ. 705A - Start at IS-M (use free XP to start at tier VIII) - Nice tank, looks cool, I see people do well in it. Still not a CW tank. - IS-M plays like Chrysler K, with less armor? Seems like it lacks armor, making it harder to play. - Since it's not really a CW tank, and would have to use free XP to start at the IS-M. Is it recommended?
  15. Finished TD15 for the T-55A in it just yesterday. Do yourself a favor, since the armor is so unreliable, you might as well just load full APCR and snap it, instead of looking for weakspots. Oh, also, don't forget to duck under cover again, to save your HP.

Done did it!!! After watching a few games of people being a boss in the E4, finished T-55 TD15 (albeit, without Honors, which I will chase). 6,313 damage, 2 kills on Westfield, which I call the Harry Potter map (train, castle in the top left, looks like Hogsmeade village). 3/3 females in the Kranv & Udes 16. WEeeeeee

  17. It sure does look cool, it feels like a active scout. The gun is pitiful. I believe they originally gave this a clip IIRC, and I played it then, but... now with a single shot gun... the damage is pretty lame. I find the ELC 90 much more engaging to play.
  18. I bought it, despite all the negative feedback. My $0.02 from a teal sh*tter, in the case anyone else is also wondering what it's like. The bad: 1) The armor is weird. Sometimes you bounce JPZE100's, and other times, other TD's AP goes through your gun mantel. You cannot trust the armor. Tanks that are not TD's, will just aim for your machine gun hatch, or, will take the time to shoot your underbelly. You feel like your turret is strong, but it is only strong if it is angled, and when it is, they just aim for your machine gun hatch anyway. 2) It's slow, not as slow as the FV215b 183, but it is slow. Compared to this tank, the Grille feels like a Ferrari. The traverse is slow, the turret turning is slow. 3) The gun bloom is bad, and the accuracy is also bad. Sometimes you make some freak shots and say "well, it isn't too bad", but it's a fluke, the accuracy is bad. Furthermore, the shell velocity is also slow, so sniping things is difficult. 4) Arties love you. Since you're slow, if you get caught out in the open, you take 300 - 400 damage shots from arty shells that land around you, and then one of of your crew dies and most likely, get tracked. In games with multiple arties, it sucks, even more so, if you're focused. The good: 1) The gold round is amazing, you don't really worry about not penning. Bobjects are lolz, FV215b 183 armor is lulz, basically, anything that isn't round stalinium or angled IS4 armor will pen (assuming you hit it). 2) It looks cool (subjective). I think it looks cool ASF. I dislike tanks without a turret, so I bought the E4, thinking I might have fun in it. Ending comments/thoughts: - It's not a reliable tank to play. The shell velocity is crap, armor is unreliable (at best), and you wish you had some more side armor for arty shells that land around you. - It's limited to peek-a-boom tactics & support play. Since the shell velocity, coupled with bad accuracy, sniping is out. (then again, Grille shell velocity is also sh*t, so at least it has some more armor than a Grille). It doesn't have the mobility to really defend itself (nor the armor), so I feel like it's a support tank, that takes the front with other heavies. You can lead a charge in the JPZE100, but not really with the T110E4. - I'm left wondering if I should have went down the E3 line instead, but not i'm not kicking myself for it because I originally planned on just ending the grind at at the T30. The T30 gun and the E4 gun feel similar, but E4 gun has the better gold shell. T30 is slow, so E4 does feel like an upgrade there. Compared to the T30, the T30 has better gun depression and a fully rotating turret.
  19. Slipped and missed the T55 TD15 mission again. Had 5.6k damage in the ISU-152, starring down a full health T54E1, less than 100m away, fully aimed, waited a second, exhaled, and shot... straight to dirt, got spotted, 3 shotted, and died. 2nd time I botched this mission. I hate myself.

      at least you didn't complete it, only to realise afterwards that you'd forgotten you'd changed missions while grinding some t7 thing and forgotten to return.

      I guess now strv is the way. Or bobject because it's balanced.

      Seriously, I would have to hate to start the bobject grind, ffs, I have to start at SU-100. FML.

      I played a handful of games, in Tier 10 TD's yesterday trying to grind the mission, 13xx wn8, and 50/50 win to loss ratio... rip. 

      I noticed the games I play in big alpha TD's, it's littered with other TD's (JPZE100's, and FV215b 183's). Got close with a JPZE100 game, with 5.8k damage, but not 4 kills so... idk. The first time I almost completed it, I was in a good game with my T30, with 5 kills, 5.8k damage, with a 400 HP progetto 65 left 1v1. I donked the last shot, which should have killed him. The shell went into a building (I'm blaming server lag), while dancing around a building, him circling me, with me trying to turn fast enough. My heart was racing so fast. It still haunts me to this day.

      I hate playing with sh*t crew in my TD's. The only TD's I have more than 3 crew skills with is my JPZE100 and Grille, but I can't get my Grille to work to save the life of me. As soon as I fire in my Grille, I get spotted, then focused/swarmed *sigh. Every time I play my JPZE100, it seems arties have a spergasm and just want to nuke the JPZ. Arty shots for 300-400 damage hurts, even if you don't get directly hit, and you have to repair crew (since aim goes to sh*t), and tracked/something broken, and you're starring down your target.

      I just want 1 more female Swedish Crew, so I can have 6. 3 for my Kran, and 3 for the new UDES medium... *sigh.


      @FavreFan4ever Man... I can't imagine having to try it with a Foch. I have to channel my inner peace and not play so aggressively I feel in 750 alpha TD's, and get swarmed + arty focused.

    Crap, I researched the tracks, and engine. Radio carried over... grinding the x3 from premium account for the top gun and turret. I go on business trip on Sunday... hoping to get it fully researched by the weekend. It looks like the tier 9 has some turret armor, compared to the tier 8. I don't want to slum it in Tier 8's, so I just researched past it. Is the 8 any good?
  21. What is up with the teams... it feels like my teams just want to lose. So man 0 damage players... even if I am top damage, game, after game, i'm stuck with the team with 3-4 0 damage players.

      And WG hate LTs. They released a whole new vehicle class (wheeled vehicles) just to fuck them. So I doubt 12t or HWK will get any love. Indien Panzer might though.

  24. Can anyone tell me the research cost of the Tier 8 medium tank that's coming? I'm wondering if I should save my convert XP to get the Tier 8 when it comes out and play it to get to the 10. The Tier 8 doesn't get the turret armor the 9 and the 10 does... but... i'm tired of getting artied in the Leo.
  25. Is the E4 even worth getting? I have the free xp for it, and next month it's going on sale for "on track", don't feel like playing T30 for another 100k xp.

      its not even a grind, I bought the t30 and i enjoyed blooping 800's into random tanks with apcr, the trade is the best part. this was the last tank i played before i quit with 83% wr
