Id like to see it perform on city maps. Maybe I am missing something. So it is excellent on open maps and to balance that it is utterly useless on tunnel maps?
Also read an interesting youtube comment:
"We need loads of data before we make any rebalancing decisions"...blablabla.

So I was bored and watched yeserdays (07.01 - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/360951704) NA stream. They speak of balancing (and Defender bit specifically starts at 1:37:24) in conjunction with premium ammo rework. The only sentence even hinting at a defender reconfiguration (assumed nerf) is
This could mean anything or nothing. Technically reworking every single tank except defender would also keep the statement accurate. Hardly a reason to shit yourself over 252U.
TragicLoss however seems somewhat reasonable. She seems to convieniently forget all the times where WG was intentionally secretive and out right lied to its playerbase. Also making a statement that the "Chrysler incident" was not really an issue because "people learned to play around it" is bullshit - the reason Chrysler is not talked about, is because WG has gone even more full retard after that culminating with IS3A to this date. Introducing weakspotless, extremely low skill ceiling tanks is not an accident - it is a marketing strategy which she actually admits during later parts of the stream. All they have to do is make sure the tank seems OP, not make it available via ingame techtree (ie. gold) and profit. So jeah, WG employee doing what WG employees do - speaking the truth when it suits the narrative and speaking half truths where the truth makes WG look shitty.

Nice conversation about possible paths WG might take. Do I need to remind you of WGs track record? This will be a dumbsterfire and nothing else. Rubicon 2.0 if you will. And the fire will burn brightly for a looooong time. That of course doesnt mean we cant have a discussion how things could be in an alternate dimension.

I mean people in the balancing department are not idiots despite how we feel about their work. These are at least somewhat intelligent people who are able to put on their own clothes and get to work and log on to a computer etc. How is it possible to communicate such utter garbage with a serious face? Like I said, I do not believe they are stupid so they must be acting stupid. Does it make us the idiots for listening and reacting to their obvious trolling/lies?
For Murazor specifically: IF you game has corridor maps, then you balance your tanks around corridor maps, not some "perfect game" type of game state. IF/when you resolve the map problem, then you rebalance your tanks around the new environment. How fucking hard is it to understand this simple truth? Now I'm like 95% sure they are just fucking with us...

Vesirott got a reaction from Nkrlz in Patch 1.0 - HD Maps and other things
I still can not believe Erlenberg went to live as it was on CT. I'd like to use the word "retarded" however it is overused and does not convey what I want to express. I can not think of any maps that got better mechanics wise, most of them stayed the same and some got a lot worse.
While removing vegetation, hard cover and terrain deformaties they actually managed to make the game even more campy. How the fuck is that even possible? There are 2-3 spots on a map which you have to take (like the hill on mines) or you practically lose by default. Any agressive play or scouting attempt is met with multiple HESH FVs or swedish bushwankers (see Glacier as a fine example). Im surprised they managed to not fuck up redshire or (completely fuck up) steppes.
PS. Fjords was probably redone by the same guy/guys as Erlenberg. Even if the meta settles to something the map is so stupid it boggles the mind. I do believe no amount of meta will balance the winrate out between spawns.

You adapt or you quit. Liberte/patriot/defender/new maus/new type5 were the last straw for some but not all. I recently finished all grinds. I literally have nothing to do in this game (im not interested nor am I good enough for 3MoE grind) so all I do is platoon with my friend to help him finish the grind and play the occasional stronghold. Might quit, might not, some very specific tanks still offer enjoyable experience (looking at you type64 and t71). I dont see any players returning any time soon tho, trying to compensate powercreep by buffing everything will inevitably lead to continuous escalation. Jeah patton, amx30 and leo1 are imho rather pointless in their current state. But buffing them leads to the need to buff fucking obj140 and such. If these things go thru, then they have to buff t62 in someway because its the new "patton" - other russian meds do everything + more.

Since rank 5 went to random-land I have only played 261 and t92. And the salt n tears are quite delicious. Havent played these SPGs in randoms, I just have them, but in ranked it evoces such emotions thats its borderline hilarious. Also getting top exp in SPG is quite simple since games have become campfest.

So, now that the first round is almost over. Final thoughts? If the reward for being in top 10% remains the same (bonds+shitty stuff from the crate), then it will take 3 rounds to kit out one tank with improved gear. I have almost all researchable t10s. Granted I dont play all of them, it would still take me how long to kit them out? How about fucking no. Meta progression you can pretty much follow looking at this thread. First few days are pretty good. 3rd day is average and last days are random basically. I started with meds, played e5 when the meta slowed down and exclusively arty in the end due to hard camps. Playing arty on day one is pointless because games are way too fast. As inexperienced players fail upwards, arty becomes more of a safer bet. However match quality declines as a result.
Also, this mode is huge money sink. All in all, if everything stays the same (I mean top 10% rewards and crate contents from beta), then I personally will only participate in the first campaign. Effort (time, money) vs reward is just not worth it unless you want to play on the very bleeding edge of competitive play.

@muhahamuhaha I had the same issue on EU in lower ranks. Type5s camping the base etc. I personally climbed up using TVP and batchat. If your team splits, stay with the bigger split. Cant stress enough the importance of micropositioning. You have to be able to shoot red tenks without them focusing on you (more so in paper autoloaders than ruskie meds). Aggression is punished quickly and severely unless its a full roll by 10 meds. Perhaps the most generic advice would be "go with the flow, but never the first". Rank 3-4 on EU has very few superheavies and TDs. Its mostly autoloader heavies or russkie meds with 907 being by far the most popular.

    Not enjoying it. Reasons below
Surprisingly many damage farmers who seem to play purely for the top3 regardless of win or lose. Perhaps it is a passing phase but seeing 3x type5 camping base on lakeville standard is not fun. 7000-9000 wg rating players Autoloaders > Russian meds > Superheavies > other. Batchat, 140, 907, type5. Quite boring Games are still often very onesided. Cant explain that, but it creates no fun experience

Whole concept of max view range and render range needs to be rethought. You can only play so much within existing parameters and everyhing and their mothers can hit 445m view without much of a hassle (in upper tiers). Im running TVP with maxed crew and food with over 500m view and its almost gamebreaking. Consider lights spoting everything (including other lights) at 200-250m. It will break everything.

I have played countless matches where class imbalance decides the game before the countdown starts. Im saying id give mirror a chance eventhough thats the worst case scenario, I dont think mirrors would be common with the template.

You are not stunned the entire negative effect duration. Obj 261 stunned my t62a for 15 seconds out of which first 10 were hardstun, last 4-5 I was able to move but at a reduced speed. If you get stunned crossing a gap or field, then rip. I got stunned twice on mines behind a rock so no real harm done. Each hit was around 200-300, cant say if direct hits or splashes. Think of it this way, if a full hp scout now gets through the battle line, then rip arty. You cant oneshot t7+ lights anymore since pen mechanic is gone.
