Armor is actually not autopen for HEAT on the 50m. It bounces off alarmingly often if angles are involved on the UFP, and gun mantle that covers center of the turret just eat HEAT shells. It's one of the few meds that you can't engage carelessly with 22 toward center of mass or center of hull.

On most of my tanks that I 3 marked... I ran both vents and optics.. chopped rammer.

I was just shy of 2700 dpg after the tank was elite.. dragged way down by the no free exp/premium stock grind where I averaged just 1100; for a combined of around 2200 something. It'll keep going up if I play it more 0.0

Go to where heavies are. If you are getting swarmed by meds, it means you are somewhere heavies normally do not go to.

I like the new mm personally. Being bottom tier is not a big deal when half the tanks are same tier as you. Being bottom tier is a big deal when 10+ tanks on each side are 2 tiers higher; which is what my tier 8s experienced with the old mm.
Like I've said in previous posts, my tier 8s during 3 mark runs on old mm experienced over 90% battles as bottom tiers in tier 10 matches, with more than half of the matches having at least 8, often 10+ tier 10 vehicles per side.
The only people this new mm screwed over are platoons. Platoons in the old mm are far more likely to end up in a top tier position. Platoons in the current mm are almost certainly bottom tier. But I'm a solopubber so.. it benefited me xD
    ---------------
The serious old mm issue was a problem specific to NA west, and no other server (not even NA east). The server had a very low population, and was extremely top heavy in tier 10s; resulting in tier 8s and 9s being almost always drafted into tier 10 matches. A huge number of tier 10 matches were made of 8 - 10 tier 10s per side, with a handful of scouts and tier 8/9 as "fillers".
With NA server being merged, this top heavy issue probably wouldn't be nearly that bad if we are to revert to the old mm.

    When stock:
Type 61 get far better gun soft stats with notably better dpm in exchange for 0.02 base accuracy.
    They get the same mobility.
Type 61 get frontal transmission instead of ammo rack, an improvement when you are forced to expose excessively with pea shooter guns.
    -------------------
What set them apart is when you get upgrades.
Leo pta get a massive engine upgrade, while type 61 get a very small one. The mobility difference is big with the top engine.
Leo pta get improved gun handling with elite configuration, with laser beam accuracy. Type 61 gun handling get WORSE with elite configuration, with worse base accuracy and worse aim time.
The dpm difference is also negligible in elite configuration.
    ------------------
Leo pta basically sucks a lot stock, and improves notably with every upgrade. Type 61 starts off much better stock, and improves a lot less so with each upgrade, eventually ending up outclassed by elite configuration.

I use optics personally, but I have a higher skilled crew to fit vision skills as well. 496m vision does wonders on JPE despite the lack of camo. Without the extra vision skills.. at 470m, optics doesn't really work. Meds can spot you and shoot you for free without being spotted in return late game.

You can drop concealment on the JPE, it does next to nothing. Most of your camo is just the camo paint, which gives a nice, fixed bonus for all TDs.
You want snap shot on your gunner, that helps gun handling immensely. You want clutch breaking on your driver to turn faster; smooth ride does very little for JPE.
Repairs is a must, firefighting is of little use. While jpe suffer a lot of transmission damage, it rarely get engine or fuel tank fires.

You definitely DO NOT want to angle your E75, VKB, or KT turret whatsoever after firing. Your E75 turret is ~254mm effective head on. By the time you angle your turret so that the turret face is 260mm, your turret side is already below 250mm effective. It does not protect you at all and actually make it easier for your enemy to aim. KT has it even worse, with much thinner turret sides.

M103 turret cheeks got buffed from free pen for 225 AP to near immunity to 340 HEAT, which makes it a far better hull down tank than E75. (Cupola and overmatch roof is still there for m103, but cannot be shot at if using max depression.)

Your UFP do not reach autobounce at full depression; it only reach 280 - 290mm effective armor vs AP.

For udes, just find a hill, a bump, anything you can hide behind. Even the window in C3 on himmelsdorf is good enough. Set siege mode, wait for camo net to activate. Then you point your gun as low as possible to raise your rear end over the cover, while retaining your retarded 70.12% stationary camo. Even a 500 vr tank won't see you 150m away. After you fire, just turn off siege mode; due to the awkward mechanic of siege mode on a non-fixed gun, your rear instantly drop behind cover, giving your opponent no chance to return fire even if pre-aimed. You are invisible again by the time you reload, allow you to repeat it. Point blank doesn't work, but 120 - 150m without a bush is still pretty aggressive if you ask me.

You don't move in the udes at all if abusing camo at close range; if you are crawling up like other IKEA tds, you are doing it wrong. UDES does not have a fixed gun, the gun pivot is on the rear end of the vehicle, while siege mode pivot is near the middle front. The two different pivots allows udes to depress the gun to raise the rear end, subsequently allowing the gun to be fired from a higher position. This allows udes to "peek" over cover with stationary camo and camonet active, without ever moving the hull. This trick is unique to UDES.
