1749 xp on last game, jumped straight past 96%. Felt like I'm seal clubbing on this <50 battle 3 mark run. I wasn't even trying that hard... using almost entirely credit ammo to print credits. Hype 59 is still OP as hell.

For me the JT88/T34 are for turning off your brain. The JT88 isn't nearly as good at this these days (200 pen doesn't go as far as it did & you have to be a lot more mindful about your situation since every encounter is so close), but it's still the same idea - hit battle, drive forward, click a few times and get your crew/credit payout. I don't ever play it anymore because I rarely have time for a mindless grind and would use the T34 if I did, but I can't fault anyone for enjoying the tank. Playing something like the FCM can wear you out after a long session.
Giving it a mobility buff would be an option, but it's a Jagdtiger. You can't really go too far with the mobility before it stops feeling like Jagdtiger. Can't touch the gun without buffing every long 88, and the armor can only be nerfed. The most sensible, effective buff would be to treat it like they did the JT and bloat the HP to 1500-1600. That's standard fare for a T8 assault TD, and it gives it the same flavor as the standard JT.

Different people have different tastes of fun. I find it fun to play maus and type 59, but don't enjoy T62A, for example. There are oddballs out there who actually like JT88 playstyle.

Overmatch changes don't look like they'll benefit the 111 1-4. Tank is fairly overmatch immune as it is, you'd need to be looking down on a WZ from a mountain side to get to the point where the roof is a bigger target than the cupola. On flat ground even a Maus would need to be very close and still struggle with it. I can only remember one or two occasions where my 111 has ever been overmatched.
Meanwhile, losing AP reliability against thin targets and other people's roofs isn't the greatest thing. The 111 is definitely powerful with HEAT, but I still find myself shooting 2:1 AP/HEAT. Losing 3x overmatch against the targets I'd most likely want AP for doesn't sound like a great trade for the once-in-a-hundred-games roof bounce.
As for the 111 needing an armor buff, eh. If they want it to remain an amazing tank, sure, it would need that. Otherwise it's always going to be better than 4/5ths of every T9 regardless of what happens to the meta. It's a small, fast heavy with a big gun that hits what you aim it at. Not saying I wouldn't love any buff my favorite tank can get, but it hardly needs any changes to remain competitive. Wouldn't mind some changes to help differentiate it from the T-10, though.

Also, stats of all Swedes are up here:
    http://wot-news.com/game/tankinfo/en/eu
(make sure to pick version 9.17)

    Most important things:

    - Kranvagn got unsurprisingly gigantic buff: base DPM went up to 2600 now being similar to 50B (magazine reload is slightly faster but intra-reload is slower), HP went up to 2000, traverse speed went up to 30 degrees/sec, penetration went up to 252 (thank god), aimtime is probably better, and finally, turret armor got increased from 170 to 225. Gold got nerfed though, now being 300 pen HEAT which is horrible. Nevertheless, it actually looks pretty good now. About as mobile as 50B and better armor than T57, aswell as its smaller than both and has -12 depression, but it still has notably worse firepower than both although atleast it has clip potential now and doesnt struggle to pen unangled E100 LFP.
    - EMIL 2 got buffed, too. Clip reload is still 40 seconds, tho, but atleast intra is 3 sec instead of 5 sec. DPM is still trashtier, though. Pen changes, same as Kranvagn. Mobility is same as before (notably slower than Kranvagn, weights 6 tons less but has 650 HP engine instead of 900 HP), HP is still only 1700. Turret got buffed to 220 tho so there is that. Gun is pretty awful, and unlike kranvagn its not that fast. So exactly same treatment as with French HTs: tier 9 is just bad, gimped version of tier 10.
    - EMIL 1 got changed but overall nerfed. Pen is now 214 APCR with gold pen being 240, HP is now 1400 instead of 1500, depression got nerfed (still -12), and IIRC gun handling is now worse too. Its top speed is now 50 instead of 45, tho, and its intra clip is 3 instead of 3.75.
    - Tier 5 Strv M/42 (or whatever) lost derp gun, making it kinda bland imo (-15 depression derp would be hilarous).
    - Tier 5 TD has 105mm gun with only HEAT shells (regular has 120 pen and prem has 140 pen, no HE either). Shell velocity is only 400 metres, tho. It gets another 105mm, which has AP with 320 alpha and 120 pen, and HEAT with 3 less pen and 20 less damage (wtf?). It has HE unlike the other 105mm. It also weights only 9 tons, goes 60kph, and has -12 depression.  If something is weird and unique its this thing.
    - UDES 03 got nerfed (full changes here: https://ritastatusreport.live/2016/11/17/udes-03-updated-stats/). In nutshell, notably worse DPM and 70/50 speed limit instead of 75/75.
    - Strv Leo doesnt get VStabs. Shame.
And finally, pic with full stats of both Strv 103s:

Sadly, no siege mode stats are shown.

Looking forward for test server that (hopefully) is coming today. Looks like my free XP ive been saving for Kranvagn isnt waste at all.

Jagdtiger is faster than before, even on grass, and uphill. Seriously!!! It does not break any speed records, but I have a feeling of great smoothness when going anywhere, 0-20 km/h time is significantly better now (big deal for the Jag). It reaches top speed rather good, 38/km h on hard ground after about 70-80 m.
Just the steepest hills kills it now, gentler ones it barely slows down. Traverse was always good, but it is maybe even better now.
I played it a lot straight before and after the patch.
    One old review:
I liked Ferdi, and I recommended it to an
    http://wotlabs.net/articles/ferdinand-white-elephant
But Jagdtiger is the real gem, and the best tank in line. After a while (lets say 100-200 battles) OP will realize that tier 8 is badly matched against tier 10 too often, and tier 9 is the sweet spot (seeing lots of tier 7&8, not feeling as food in tier X). Jag long 128 is probably the best gun, even in tier X! And Jag has more HP than other tier X TDs, anyway (almost the same as tier X heavies like IS-7 or E5).
And to get there, Ferdi is an obvious route.
P.S. T-54 is still the same more or less...but it has more power than tier X hovermeds. E 50 is noticeably more sluggish, mostly in traverse speed.
Skoda T 50 is actually the most mobile medium in tier (1000 horsepowah, duh) until it reaches its speed limit (and it gets there FAST). New physics actually just slightly nerfed most other meds, so it is even more OP.

The engine nerf and terrain resistance buff kept flat ground and downhill mobility the same; uphill mobility got reduced significantly. With all the bumps and dents put in place of current maps, jp2 ended up slightly slower in practice. JP2 gained about 2 degrees of traverse on that patch.
    -------------------------
The later physics change affected tanks differently.
Hovertanks with low terrain resistance and low power to weight ratio slowed down more than other vehicles. Hovermeds like t62A/obj140 slowed down significantly, while high power crap resist tanks like E50M/STB did not change much.
Acceleration and cruising speed in the 40s and 50s take significantly longer to reach/sustain, but speed below 30 didn't change much. IS-7 no longer ran as fast as it once did, but Maus still move at exactly the same speed as before.
JP2 ended up taking a much bigger mobility nerf than ferdi due to the factors above.

Ferdi gun mantle actually still do bounce stuff, and you can go hulldown to further reduce exposure with the gun depression. 350 extra hp is also pretty massive.

The mobility difference between ferdi and jp2 isn't actually all that much. jp2 mobility has been heavily nerfed; while still more mobile than ferdi, it is no longer able to flex around the map or reach key medium tank positions in a timely manner; leaving that extra mobility moot.

Hally got a reaction from Felicius in I just got the SU-100M1...
As someone who grinded the entire line the hard way, solo pub with zero free exp used... this is a miserable line. Pure chai sniping tanks just does not win enough battles when solopubbing.
I can safely say the su-100m1 is the worst of the bunch. It is sorely outclassed by the SU-122-44 premium and JP with 88mm gun (which is not a good gun choice on that). The camo is actually pretty worthless due to it being practically zero after firing. With no alpha, rear mounted gun, and no armor to speak of (gun shield is a big weakspot that is shot at by autoaim, that low tiers pen with ease); it performs poorly at anything that isn't chai sniping. With the current map pool, chai sniping out of vision range is poor in terms of winning battles. Vehicles that can only chai snipe and do nothing else suffers badly in this meta; the su-100m1 ends up being a bottom of the barrel tank in terms of influencing a match. The su-100m1 isn't even that good at chai sniping....  T9 heavies make you shit bricks, even IS-3s/110s or a properly angled KT make you cry.

People say the su-101 is bad because they don't know how to make that gun depression work. It's difficult, but not impossible. On the few places where you can actually hull down, the su-101 actually does an ok job, with good (gold) pen, dpm, and workable superstructure armor. This tank is sorely outclassed by the object 416, but at least it didn't make me want to pull hairs out every single battle, which the m1 did.

I hated the su-122-54 a fair bit. The armor is pretty crap in practice; I bounced more things with my ISU than this thing. I felt like a waffle pz4 with a broken turret and 75% gunner, for a benefit not getting penned by T49s. The camo is once again, not very useful. RoF is too high to spot your own targets and abuse camo properly; you will either have terribad effective DPM to abuse camo, or you will have someone else spot and not make use of the camo at all. I'd much rather be in an ISU or JT than than the 122-54. But on the bright side, I didn't hate it as bad as the 100m1; at least this thing can pen anything it faces against, and can brawl against low tiers.
Then there's the object 263.. which I didn't enjoy at all. Too many battles of getting absolutely wrecked by potatoes derping my gun shield/superstructure with HE, which frequently kill/break a lot of crew/modules and cause fires. Too many battles of gold ammo going through the gun shield like butter, and there is nothing you can do about it. Once again, pure chai sniping just does not win you enough battles when solopubbing. The once in a blue moon chance of an amazing malinovka game is there.. but I don't feel it's worth suffering the remaining battles for that one battle of awesomeness.

The JP2 is a better tank than the Ferdinand in the first 2 minutes of a match. The Ferdinand is a better tank than the JP2 from that point forward. That's basically what it comes down to.
In my opinion, you can't go wrong with either. Both are good, and while I think the Ferdinand is clearly the better game winner, I absolutely understand that many people need some more mobility to have fun playing a tank. If that's you, get a JP2. If it's not, carry in a Ferdinand.

Hally got a reaction from woe2you in The WZ-111 & if you should be getting one.
Lower plate buff is a pretty big improvement to the armor. Now you can actually angle it and shrug off most 175mm pen guns as long as you have vertical cover to hide the near side sprocket wheel. The pike is so shallow that it does notnot suffer when angling like a german tank, unlike is-3/110s.
Engine buff is pretty big, it should be able to go 50km/h quickly on flat and keep it on slight inclines like the 111 1-4; instead of currently being stuck at 40km/h on flat, and taking ages to get there.
No idea how good the gun handling will be until I try it in person but... I don't see it getting anywhere near the comfort of the 111 1-4.
The roof had never been a problem. No one shoots you there in the past since you got a giant autopen lfp with ammorack behind it. If you hide the lfp, people just shoot down into your ufp and go right through anyways. If you properly hull down to cover the lfp while keeping ufp at autobounce; your gun mantle covers the entire roof, making that weakspot moot.

This should be overall a significant buff, and make this tank a much faster IS-6 with a slightly weaker lfp and an ammorack problem.

Hally got a reaction from Bastor in Type 4 Heavy "appreciation" thread
I'm grinding this from stock, with no free exp used; solo pub only. Results of first 14 battles, which earned just enough exp to unlock tracks.

Due to a complete lack of respect from the opponents, the Type 4 actually bounces far more 330 - 340 HEAT than my E3/Maus/E-100. Most opponents seem to load gold and autoaim at me, instead of aiming for weakspots; which results in a lot of shots bouncing on the sloped UFP, turret sides, or go right into tracks. Delicious tears from 704s and Grille 15s bouncing off repeatedly.
I angle the tank like a german heavy. The weak cheek is actually not that big a deal if you are moving and/or nudging against lower tiers; shots will frequently hit elsewhere and bounce off. Tank wrecks make excellent cover when not facing arty, allowing you to angle more agressively while covering sides/cheeks; while still be able to return fire. Glorious moments of bouncing 5 tier 9/10 TDs for 2 mins because arty decided to ignore me and tunnel vision over an IS-7 on other side of map; while my TDs killed all of them.
As for the gun... stock gun is not bad. It packs sufficient alpha and decently comfortable handling. DPM is a bit lacking, but it is not that horrible. Bonus points for catching blues/purples off guard because they don't expect you to reload that fast.

I actually ran rammer vents optics, instead of the conventional rammer vents vstab or rammer vstab gld. Farming sweet tears of meds and tds who think they can shoot me for free while sitting in the open. I would highly suggest against normal players to run what I use though.

Main equipment choices would be rammer, vents, vstab and gld. Spall liner is pretty useless against arty due in practice, with the huge hull roof for HE splash to reach. Gld doesn't do much most of the time as you will be snap shotting, but it does help when you are trying to go for a specific AP or HE pen.

Why not to engage at long range with the 10.5cm? Simple: it does not win you games nearly as often as hard pushing with the derp.
The 10.5cm shines brightly in situations where you will win with either gun. You will end up farming far more damage in such situations. The derp allows the O-Ho to pull far more weight than a normal T8 heavy can when bottom tier; allowing you to sway far more matches in your favor to win.
You are overly concerned about your dpg and getting a much lower win rate than otherwise possible. We have pretty similar performance in the O-Ho.. except I get a 15% higher win rate, because I can influence far more matches using the derp.

If you are taking 2 minutes to slowly kill a tank, you are not pushing correctly. Pushing is not sitting behind cover and popping out to trade shots. Pushing is getting in the face of your opponents and roll them over. The 10.5cm carries no fear factor; it will not scare similar or lower tiers into backing off into cover. Fear factor and module damage combined is enough to make many otherwise not possible pushes successful.
Most pubbies are chickens and unwilling to take hits. When your O-Ho pushes into the enemy, forcing them to retreat and/or shoot you, your pubbies will actually come out to shoot people; further contributing to the push. If you are simply trading shots like a normal heavy, you will not get nearly as much out of the pubbies.
Your personal DPM is not king; getting the most damage output from your team is king. Getting the potatoes behind you to do something far outweigh the personal DPM boost you get vs low tiers.
    -------------------
As for this whole shell velocity and 268 argument...
The 268 cannot hit a thing because of maps. Camo snipe spots typically involve shooting moving vehicles on ridges. The 268 is unable to lead shots in such situations due to the shell arc. If you lead ahead of the tank, your shell will arc overhead like arty and miss completely. If you don't lead outside the enemy tank, your shell will not arrive in time. It is a loose loose situations with no possibility of hitting the target short of aiming at the ground and pray rng makes you shell fly to the top part of reticle. With terrible gun arc and extremely bad track repair times, the 268 simply doesn't function effectively at close ranges.
O-Ho has none of these issues. You are not chai sniping. You have a turret. You are pushing at close ranges, where the arc is not a problem.
    --------------------
As for being unable to shoot tier 10s inbetween reloads.. you are doing it wrong. You do NOT need to shoot lfp ect. You can sidescrape into a firing position and shoot people safely in the far tracks, while keeping you safe from return fire. Against slower firing vehicles (ones that can actually kill in 2- 3 shots), you can easily get an aimed shot against turret cheeks to cripple the enemy tank inbetween reloads, further helping your team.

As far as I can tell, you are a good medium tank driver that tries to drive a superheavy like a medium. Doing so will not bring out the full potential of the O-Ho.
