    You don't need to, the requirements are clear and understandable.
    I just don't get your intend for putting the TVP (a support) and the Bat Chat (a scout) in the same group as you can not use them for the same things.

    XVM has nothing to do with WNx.
    Why do people still mix these two up after like 3 years is beyond me. If WN8 would die without a replacement then everyone would just switch to PR...
    Also WG speculated about no longer sending the enemy teams player names to kill xvm winchance but, as usual, never came off it.

    The time where there are no/wrong expected values for tanks is greater than the time that it works correctly...

    If these soft stats are for real WG again shows their uttr cluelesness. Yes, I get that they alsways start bad and get bettr in Supertest, but this is a lost round of testing, everyone with half a brain can tell that these tanks need better mobility and either huge dpm or stellar gun handling in order to actually do something.

    I am over it now. Which means I have conceded to the fact that I am WAY too impatient for these sort of tanks (combined with my less than impeccable sense for positioning).
    I literally can not play anything than mediums or lights that are either very mobile or somewhat mobile but reasonably armored.

    That would be more to do with how crap tier 7 and 8 mediums are.
    Look at tier 6 skirms, lights are fine there against Cromwells and T-34-85s in the main.  Cos tier 6 meds generally are very good, Cromwell, T-34-85, A-43, Skoda T25, Jumbo, new Swedish thing even Easy8 is pretty nice despite it's crappy pen cos it;s got good DPM, good gun handling and -12 gun depression. 
    It's why I never get the moans about the Bulldog, sure it's one of the best lights, but that isn't really saying much and the tier 7 lights only really compete well because tier 8 mediums in general are pure shit, Centurion 1, Panther 2, Indien, T-34-2 etc. You have a collection of tier 8 meds that have less pen than the heavies, way less alpha and still only get around 1,8-1.9k DPM on average barely anymore than an IS3 which has 225 pen and 390 alpha. Then most of them go around 45kph ish so hardly fast, with no real impressive hp/tons there or agility, like a Pershing which is one of the better ones has 38 deg/s traverse rate. Plus most of them are huge as well.
    It's basically Pershing cos it has a turret, 416 competes despite it's awkward depression and turret because of the tier 9 DPM and alpha, then STA-2 is probably one of the best of the rest. Tier 7 and 8 meds are thoroughly underwhelming, way behind the heavies on their tiers and on tier 8 behind most of the TDs as well. 
    It's why the tier 6 and 7 lights look good especially when they get decent MM, because they are really better mediums with in most cases less HP.  It's the tier 8 lights that struggle because most the tier 9 mediums are much better than them, particularly gun wise, medium guns at tier 9 take a big leap up, lots of 105s doing 390 alpha with over 2.5k base DPM, whereas most the tier 8 lights are using the same crappy 240 ish alpha guns the tier 8 mediums use, which do not scale well at all into tier 9 and 10. 
    You could drop the lights to their tier if they buffed some of the crappy meds on those tiers, a good percentage of the tier 7 and 8 meds need buffs IMO, the tier 8 meds should with their poor alpha be more in the range of 2.3 to 2.5k DPM with 90mms and the like, not 7 second reloads for 240 alpha, when tanks just one tier above you have 7 second reloads for 390. 
    The other thing they need to do is restrict lights in the MM, their shouldn't be like 4-5 in each team it's silly, especially when you have two tier gaps between them, tier 6 lights shouldn't be in the game with tier 8 ones when they are all competing with the same spots, MM should be more restrictive on light tanks and match them like arty.

    First of all winrate is not a terribly accurate rating over only a small amount of games. So unless you did like 200+ games in your last 30 days, you should not read too much into it.
    But, if you raise your WN8 by sniping late game damage, and even do most damage later in the game (for fear of diing too early and thus loosing WN8) then you are plainly stat padding - you deal more damage ot get higher WN8 and not to win the game.

    On weekends we have more players and I would say that many of these only play on weekends. This means we have a good amount of players that roughly only play oince or twice a week.
    Also if there is a special going on (and usually there is) players are much more likely to play a wide variety of tanks (to triple/quintuple them all) which increases the likelyhood of people playing tanks they are even more unfamiliar with or that they even hate.
    On top of this people tend to be much more win aware and thus more easily frustrated. They may pull a 30% winrate without much thoughs during the week but during a x5 this lets them tilt.
    This all, in my experience, causes all kinds of guys (from red to at least teal) to play much more erratically. Top tier teal T30 camping bush at base to protect 4 arties? Check. Enemy Bat Chat rushing field on Malinovka? Check. This kind of stuff is way more prominent at weekends with specials.
    Now if you are a really good player, you couldn't care less, as you do not expect anything from your team anyways. But everyone else usually has some assumptions and weekends may prove not only some, but sometimes all of them wrong.

    Not as far as I know. I have some of RN's high-activity account IDs (42 million unique tanks in the dataset if memory serves) so I'll just be pulling those. I can post the bash script to pull them once I get everything working. As for generating expected values from a dataset, RN actually posted a C++ file at the bottom of this page as well as sample data: http://jaj22.org.uk/expmethod.html
    We'll see if it works at the end of the interval collection -- I'll try running one after 5 weeks of data collection (to see if his program is functional or if I need to write one based off of his guide) and then 11 weeks, as he suggests.

    Ok, I concede, Grille is just like JPE. Next time you take your Scout to the ridge of Prokh 90 secs into the game and get hit by a Grille while the JPE just finished half the way to the track spot you probably think "this is fine gameplay".
    Next time you scouted the Grille and then be save from it for like 30secs instead of minutes because that is the time it takes for the Grilel to relocate to an entirely different spot and blap you for 750 again you prolly also think that this is fine. No toxic gameplay spotted.
    So WoT is fine, I get it. Have a nice day.

    Well getting rid of MM weight would be a good idea because it doesnt seem to make much difference. I used an old dataset of 10,000 battleresults and did an analysis of how much the MM was biased in percentage terms towards the winner or loser. The result is a histogram that looks like this:

    So MM does a pretty good job of balancing the MM weights of the teams.
    So then I combined that in a scatter plot with the damage bias in percentage terms - the damage bias being how much more damage the winners did than the losers. The results are below. What is interesting is that you'd expect matches where the MM was biased towards the winner to result in a greater damage bias towards the winner; but as you can see it makes almost no difference.
    So, as we suspected, MM weight isnt the right thing to be balancing...

    So WG is potentially removing the +1 penalty for "scout" light tanks.  Hooray?
    NOPE.
    I predict it will be a nerf because these tanks will all get uptiered.  So this means:
    Can't be competitive with large light tank contingents for strongholds, as for example the T54L and T37 will be tier 9 and tier 7 respectfully Tougher XP grind for lights as you no longer get added the +1 level XP difference for spotting / damage /kills.  Lower potential discount as the higher tier tanks tend to less discounts Possibly higher repair costs?  Not sure on this one.  We're also not sure where they introduce a new light tank to fill in lower gap but I bet I will be at tier IV.

    WoT is a truely GREAT game ... IF you can handle it!
    What some of our SuperUncorns here don't get is that WoT is not made for them but instead it is made for Joe Average.
    However it throws these Unicorns together with Joe Averages and even Terry Terrible but at a price! The price is RNG, simplistic maps and 12-14 teammates that may be in the range of awesome to terrible.
    The only other thing that I myself find terrible is the tiering system and the tier balance (even more than tank balance or arty). What this means is that in order to incite you to climg up the tech trees higher tier tanks get progressively more powerful over their lower tier competitiors. That means that tier VII over tier V is not such a huge advantage than tier IX over tier VII. After almost 20k games I find myself sitting in the same three or four tier IX and X tanks because I can't stand how shitty everything else seems to be. And thats boring.
    WoWS handles that WAY better (even with +-2 MM) as the ships are way closer together power wise.
