    I'll spare you the first game from the session. I went S on Sand River - the T-100 in front of me didn't spot ANYONE moving into position. I fired once, and got vollied down by 6 tanks. Fake scout is fake. Despite that meh start...had a good run obviously
    Murovanka - CVS build - invisible sniper tank is invisible. CVS does great things if you get can get to that line I took. 
    Kharkov - CVS build -  no LTs so I try to use vision to win the 1 line. It works ok. Then I keep pushing pace and punishing with marginal snipes and effective spotting. 
    Empire's Border - vstab build - I'd ban this map if I could. But the early part shows the power of the Prog65 even if it's not AS bursty as it's peers. Also - my game froze, THEN bugged and I couldn't move my turret. So -that's why I didn't run back to the K line and carry the battle and do 5000+. At least the software failures happened after I had a decent score recorded...
    Murovanka #2 - CVS build - An absolute monster of a game. I learned from the previous Muro (being spotted by Leo1) to screen more carefully from the MTs when I fire. And it pays off! System still shits a little with massive stutters during the Type 5 brawl. I more or less die because I can't tell what is going on, but I just hug his butt and autoaim. Again CVS vision and camo let me do gross things to their team. Yes the snipes are bloomy - I just have patience with bad guns developed from thousands of T49 games?
    Overlord - vstab build - A map with virtually no spotting potential. But camo let's me set up shots, deny them space, get in cheeky peeks unseen. Then I awkwardly brawl an E-100 at the end because I am bad at brawling. Still, it was a fine score for a bad map.
    Malinovka - CVS build - Big daddy map! Despite two LTs I stick with vision build because this map is great for spots. Ultimately I don't get a super dominant performance because of how much of their HP is hiding in that back ditch and because I was a little slow to get in and dump the last clip. Still 7k is perfectly respectable and normal for this map, and the game is virtually never winnable for their team. Camo and vision just whittle them down. Do watch as I miss THREE times on the stationary 704? You can't really blame the gun there - 0.31 and FULLY aimed shots. It's no Leo1 gun though...
    Hilariously that match took me to 94.98% ! So any shot from me or assist that went in would have pushed me over. But hey - what's a good 3 mark without a little drama?
    Mannerheim Line - CVS build - not the best CVS map, but with no LTs I want to make sure I've got the vision advantage over the MTs. Which I do - watch that opening drive and all the free peeks I can do from the middle ditch. Taking the T30 hit was a mistake. My support fire was pretty bad! Again though - I find the gun to work pretty well even without gun mods! 6.8k combined is nothing to sneeze at. And I want to make SURE that I get the mark - so I even reload HEAT at the very end. Boom Spotgetto romps to 3 MoE - and a place in my heart as a really fun (but big) vision abuser!

    Appears to be a very fast heavy with low alpha (100mm gun). Does not appear to be an armoured heavy like the Object 252U or the 50TP pr, seems to be more like a Renegade or a Caernarvon AX, but not as good as either of those two? Does the speed and agility make up for the other issues?

    WG balancing department can't play the game they are supposed to balance, as 460 alpha on a 2 shot autoloader is fucking retarded at tier 8.
    What kind of smoothbrain window licker thought this would be a good idea? It will be total cancer for gameplay.

    This will be huge for light tanks!
    Feels pretty shit to have a pure vision build and get a shit map for scouting, with this you can switch to a damage focused build and play a pocket medium instead.
    This can be a huge quality of life improvement, just hope they don't make the modifications too grindy and that it allows for some flexible builds.
    Will definitely check this out, it can be very good or very bad for the game, depending on how they implement it.

    As it is now, you can get a light on your team on Prok that has a DPM build (makes sense to him as most maps aren't Prok), while the light on the enemy team has a full stealth/vision build, and it's GG before it began.
    With this change you can be reasonably sure both lights are running the same kind of setup.

    Unfortunately the activity level is pretty low nowadays, but there are tons of good guides that are still relevant floating around here.

    I bought this yesterday and played it a whole bunch. I am absolutely doing it wrong - and it's fun. How wrong? LNE, optics, vents. 46% camo sitting and 36% moving. That puts it in the middle of the tier X LTs for camo values and let's me do stupid vision plays with 440 alpha and some armor to get me out of sticky situations.
    It becomes a hybrid of TD, LT and MT in this mode. I've def struggled to learn where i can safely be at 50 kph and how to use the siege depression mechanic - so some real misplays and suicides. That said 2500 dpg and 1900 spotting is pretty influential in the matches. 
    Should you do this? Probably not. Being good at dpg is probably more useful. But the profile, camo and alpha lend themselves to my niche of sitting in a bush and making the enemies regret pressing battle.

    The german mission took me way to many tries, and the russian one was even more annoying, buuuuut, i made it, no idea how much i will play this, but i finished this crap.
    If i had done all the previous stuff (so i would start with 8 tokens), it would have taken me 2 months / 1k games i think, now a bit longer

    Noticed T69 has ridiculously low reqs for aces, might be worth it with turbo and full HEAT spam.

    The whole colour scale has gradually become more pleb-friendly so the shitters don't get too butthurt. I still remember how "noob" and "bot" or something were changed to "basic" and "beginner" because MUH FEELZ. All the brackets from red to green are basically just another shade of useless, and especially in battles the distinction is totally pointless. XVM is what most people use WoT stats for, so if you want that to be a useful tool you have to make a custom config that covers all the different shades of useless under one label and colour: meatshields.

    So yesterday WG released two articels regarding the Arty and HE change.

    And as expected these changes are coming to the the game. Starting with the Common Test for Update 1.13 (soon)
    But before there seem to be another Supertest where they nerf/buff certain tanks like Type or EBR.
    I still dislike the change. So much time and effort wasted in such a little problem. Changing a whole game mechanic, while similar resulst could have been achieved by simply nerfing alpha  or pen of certain HE spam tanks. 
    60TP HE spam is a problem? Cut HE Alpha in half.
    EBRs HE spam is a problem? Cut its pen to level where I can´t easily pen everything. 
    FV HESH is problem? Fuck this tank all along. It has been a shitty game design for years.

    EDIT: Before my comments - GET A NEW TANK for those extra 5 battles of good MM. Good MM for t7 = fighting t6 and t5 tanks = easy top guns. 

    Depends on how scummy do you feel? If a lot then Chi-ri and kill steal. I know not german but Japanese and German are both Block. If less scummy than Tiger I. Tiger I is a top gun machine.

    I'd honestly recommend the Wt auf Pz IV. I have 7 Top Guns in it and I think all 7 are since I played it for missions. I was averaging 2.22 kills in it, and the 560 alpha let's you finish off a lot of fairly high HP tanks that a 390 gun wouldn't, and it reloads about as fast as most 390 guns, which always surprises people.
    Outside of that, low alpha (e.g. Kpz) doesn't work great, so I'd go either of the Leos (Pta worse tier for tier since nerf, but better MM, and both have 420 alpha) or the E 50. E 100 would be too slow / inconsistent.
    For the main thread, i'll update the OP tonight. Some things to add:
    Coalition recommended tanks Alliance recommended tanks (Chimera) Alliance missions importance of map bans It's a massive project, so appreciate the patience.

    Hi guys,
    I'm an ex clan member of 322 from the EU server, returning after 8 years of absence. I was playing WoT in the ESL back then (that doesnt exist any more) and did FC in company battles a lot of times.
    I played a lot back in my college time but stopped after I got a gf and job. I didn't touch the game until last year when lockdown basically forced me to find some productive things to do at home.
    My old account is still existing (https://wotlabs.net/eu/player/givethemnothing), but after 8 years I forgot the credentials to the connected mail address... welp. Nothing of value was lost as i was a poorfag back then and the account was f2p. Before that, I was playing on my brothers account so actually I started playing around 2011.
    So how was my experience with WoT 2020+?
    It was kind of a rough landing at first because the meta was drastically different from 2013 and I forgot some of the skills I had. I got beaten in the face countless times in my shiny Tier 8 premiums until I decided to grind my way up like I used to before to learn the meta again from scratch. So eventually, I got back on track. 
    So here are a few things I noticed and I will also state if its neutral (+/-) a pro (+, ++, +++) or a con (-, --, ---):
    +/- I did realize that there are now much more players. I can still remember some ppl saying in 2013 that WoT was about to go down since player base was eroding... yeah that never happened. ++ Clans are dead. I mean It was fun back then with Xensation and Hami and all the other retards on EU server, but it seems that nowadays clans are pretty useless except for getting CW reward tanks. Thats fine for me as WoT never was and never will be a competitive game. I was in 322 back then as the clan recruiter but im not sure if its still active +++ There is less Pay2win now. I realize this is an unpopular opinion, but back then you had to buy gold to shoot gold ammo and use food. Now you can get that all for credts which is a massive change. Plus the game literally throws free (not always good) premium tanks at you with the marathons and reward vehicles -- This also means that waaay more gold ammo is in the air. I remember back then that there would be near impenetrable tanks like Type 59 which are just shit now because every T8 med has 250+ pen ammo available - The removal of global chat is a pity. Not being able to flame kind of takes a lot of the fun but I understand the reasoning behind it ++ Frontlines is nice. I do enjoy some of the new game modes, especially those who can be done solo! ++ Usablity got MUCH better. The minimap features now and the damage indicators are a huge asset. You don't need any mods in the current game apart from Gumark mod maybe +++ Efficiency Rating/WN7/8 is dead because we have Gunmarks. This is huge. Back then there was a lot of statsfapping and especially with the Efficiency Rating it got completely absurd (you could push it by capping instead of dealing dmg). I never used XVM but even then it annoyed me that there was no ingame way of tracking how good with a certain tank you are apart from manually tracking DPG and assist (which, back then, did not exist as a stat! so only dmg). Now with Gunmarks around, there is a real "endgame" in the way that you can mark all kind of tanks and it truly has a meaning instead of account wide ratings. +++ You can anonymize yourself. Jesus that one is probably the best thing...  - Maps are still as unbalanced as before. I did not expect anything else tbh And now?
    I am used to playing alone but I do enjoy playing with some ppl. Back in the day we used to have a chat channel in game for players who like to improve their game play and there anyone could find good platoon mates, I really like the idea of doing that again. If you want to platoon, just add me in game, it is especially useful for team based modes like FL or SH I think, where the "lonue unicum" approach is not as valid as in randoms.

    I liked Swamp because you had so many options, I don't really play that much heavies, so castle wasn't really ever relevant early-mid game for me.
    I played it mostly from mid, where you could abuse camo and vision to rek enemy team, and it worked from both sides, you also had good arty cover if you pushed over mid.
    There was also useful arty cover if you approached from water on both sides.
    It was just a really fun map to play.
