It is an arena fighter with a bunch of grindy MMO stuff thrown in for no reason except Korean. It is a very good fighting game, except for the camera being shit.

That Final Fantasy is their MMO without the latest expansion. It comes with 30 days gametime, so if you like FF and MMOs in general, its worth playing the various classes and stories. It is a really well done MMO even if its a bit lacking in endgame and graphics. Play it like a RPG and you shouldnt be dissappointed especially not at that price.

For mainstream stuff, best value is going to be Dell Outlet with a coupon. Would also look at Lenova. PC should end up being $300 or less on sale. A decent monitor with speakers will be harder to find so you might be better off with a basic 22 or 27 1080p monitor ($100-$200) and an add on speaker bar ($30) if they want to preserve desktop space. edit: I would seriously consider win 10 and a touchscreen monitor for a senior citizen, especially if they dont have extensive PC experience.
