So interestingly it seems that WG has decided that WoT needs a bit of love and attention after not doing very much other than churning out lots of special modes for a while. All of a sudden they're going whole hog - lots of vehicle balancing changes, map balancing changes, a new map (and a second on the way early next year), and a new tank line. I wonder what changed...

I had a bit of an epiphany last night. It occurred to me that World of Tanks has the same sort of monetization that a mobile game has. We're essentially playing a mobile game with enhanced graphics.

Writing a pretty extensive topic on improving for higher level players (2000+wn8 above) but it'll apply to everyone, just that those people will comprehend it better. 
If there are any questions you'd like me to include, I will as long as the topic isn't finished by the time it's asked. This is a general improvement guide, so nothing map/tank specific, but larger concepts. (Improving situational awareness for example), if there are any: ask!

Ok, so I played a few rounds on the sandbox server. HE penning spaced armor is hilariously dumb. Side of an IS-7? BOOM! Sheridan spaced BS armor? POW! Spaced bullshit on the front of a Sconq? SPLAT! On the other hand if you don't pen, get ready for 183mm of disappointment.

Kinda like it? Feels like the tier 8 RU in terms of damage capability, 4k is super easy for that platform
what I don't understand is why they gave it siege at all.. I've tried it but I have literally never gotten use of unless it is shooting down at someone in a ditch without having to drive down there myself (Redshire middle basically)
Pretty sure they could remove it and this would play identically, totally pointless gimmick?

Is it wrong that I unironically want teamkilling back so I can kill arty players? 

With my WoT buddy passing away a couple days ago I'm going to retire my account as playing doesnt feel right anymore. This game has been a huge part of my life the past 8 years and contains many of my worst moments as a person. I'm at a point in my life now where I'm genuinely happy and not the unstable lunatic who took WoT as life or death. Idk how to properly say goodbye to a great friend, but I'm going to start by shelving WoT and its memories. I don't game much anymore between work and rock climbing, so this is a good point to end it.

The AI in WoT is really good! With so many dialogue options it's probably the best immersive rpg I've ever played. It's like the AI is actually having a conversation and they react to your choices! Incredible! 

I can't use photo shop but MS paint is so easy a 7 year old could do better than me.

I don't often get Radley Walters medals, so this was fun. 

I'm watching these replay videos of people playing the E-100 with the 128mm gun.  Sigh.  Just because its better does not make it right #BoomSticksMatter

I've been trying to 3 mark the KV-2 R. Every. Fucking. Game. There are 3 M44s per team. If Wargaming is willing to nerf the progetto because there are 3 of them or more every game then why the hell won't they nerf that fucking abomination? There are people running around with fucking bounty equipment M44s that have a 15 second reload. I've seen poor bastards get perma tracked by one of them if they don't have a repair crew. Its beyond broken. Low tier arty is like high tier arty on crack.

I unlocked the Chimera yesterday and I've played about 25 games in it. This tank actually is a good reward tank. Like the Excalibur it isn't OP, but it provides a novel and interesting tank without fucking it up for everyone it goes up against. Now its time to move on to the Object 260 missions.

No longer praising tanks on wotlabs. Every time i do that I get an insta -10% to them. FfS

I don't get this game sometimes - weekend teams, yet I manage to hit 89% win ratio in 28 battles, all solo:

I know winrate isn't luck, but it sure fucking is wildly variable in small sample sizes.
