Another one.  It's gonna suck if they ever make you start taking splash damage from nearby ammorack explosions.

I've noticed that the best fire prevention strategy is to just not get shot.

I'm working on it still but I think it has promise

The HP increase was honestly my favorite change of the light tank patch

Also, I've finally started my crew's fifth skills.
Commander is starting Recon because max VR, Gunner is starting Repairs since everything else except Firefighting is a Perk, Driver is starting Clutch Braking and may switch it to preventative maintenance when it hits 100% in a year since I run food now, and Loader is also starting Repairs because lol Loader skill choices.

I haven't played the tank (or really the game, for that matter) since the T10 LTs introduction some time back, so I've been super happy with what happened to the T49 in the meantime. The T9 version's mobility/gun handling improvements make the tank so much nicer to play, and the extra hitpoints let you play extra lazy. True American comfort has been bestowed on my favorite LT! I'm not really caught up on if the MM weight of a T9 LT is worse than the old T8s, but it certainly feels worth it if this was the result. So good!

It's probably because the tank's hitpoints hit 0 before the crew's do

This tank is not good. It is however funny. Its the size of a tier 1, with the firepower of the pre 9.18 SP1C, and the hitpoints of a tier 7 tank. But, it has god tier camo, which means a little something, and you can at least do funny things with terrain.

    Protection/Durability
    Good
46% camo, 11% firing Tier 1 size - hide in all kinds of bullshit spots, invent cover on the fly, abuse terrain Bad
Absurdly low hitpoints - 3 shots from almost anything and you're done all HE will pen, and arty misses splash hard 6 tons of weight means all rams/bumps HURT Mobility
    Good
70 kph is nice It's a LT - your mobility and size make for nice protection Bad
Low hp/t at 23 Traverse on medium terrain is marginal, large turn radius Firepower
    Good
    0.33 accuracy is enough Depression -9 and a comfy +13 elevation 45 x 220 ammo is enough Autoloader! (220x3 2.5 between) Bad:
Handling, aim-time, pen, interclip Abysmal 1238 max dpm

No.  Too many actual players who are just really fucking bad would get swept up in the process - and while I'm not saying that's a bad thing from my own personal point of view, it would be bad for the health of the game especially since NA server population is already pretty low compared to EU/RU.  You know for a fact that those people who would keep getting mistakenly flagged as bots won't think "wow I must be really bad if people think I'm a bot, I should improve", they'll think "STUPID FUCKING UNISCUM STAT PADDING SHITLORD FAGGOTS KEEP LABELING ME AS A BOT FUCK GOLD SPAMMERS WINRATE IS LUCK I PLAY FOR FUN" and then just quit the game.

I finally rebought this tank today partially because of the IS-M and partially because of this thread.

I haven't tried the 100mm gun yet because I'm not sure I want to - first game back, using the last 122mm in a tier 8 match

I had maybe 21 hp left or something like that but not bad.  We'll see how it does in a more open map like Prokhorovka or something

The problem @GehakteMolen was pointing out is not the how to deal with it. It was never a problem even when I was a bigger scrub than I am now. The problem is if it wants you dead you are dead. I remember one yoloing me in an alley on Windstorm just like a Batchat would. He came out from nowhere clipped me and left. Is it a good tank? No. Is it broken and bad for the game? Yes.
