  1. After a few weeks off from the game I've played a bit for a couple of days now. The one-sided roflstomps on both sides are just crazy. I mean, they were before my break as well but they are just so obvious after a little time off.

    Is it how easy it is now to get to the high tiers? And what could WG do about it?

      Actual data suggests that large score difference battles don't form more than 20% of the total number of battles though. Average duration is still solidly 7 minutes, and the higher the tier the longer. Average score difference is around 7 as well, because, well, no respawns.

  2. Playing the Italian tier 6 again to get XP for the new heavy line. Fucking hell the arty shitters are everywhere. Three per game, 90% of those are M44, with thousands of games in this cancer-spreader. Wargaming still has its thumb up its ass and does nothing. Tier 6 used to be fun.

      The last arty rebalance (higher RoF for reduced HE damage) absolutely broke low-tier arty (tier 5 and tier 6 arty in particular) because the reduction in HE damage absolutely no way offset the much higher rate of fire because most low-tier tanks have minimal armour, plus are typically slower, so hits on meds and lights absolutely wreck face.

  3. That feeling when you surprise an EBR 105 and frontally ram him in an LT-432 with both of you going full speed. Shot and rammed from 0 to dead. I lost about half health. 10/10 would do again.

  4. Anyone here feel like the CS-59 burns a lot? I've switched from food to extinguisher and repair fuel tanks religiously now.

  5. I've played tier 6-8 Polish tanks now. Not that far into the tier 8, but enough to form an opinion. Tier 6 was OP as fuck with the gold derp but so slow I felt bored playing it. Tier 7 was boring but had nice alpha for tier. Tier 8 is a shittier version of the Lansen that doesn't make any credits and somehow seems to hit even less. Unless the tier 9 is worth it (as some say) this line seems to be a colossal waste of time.

      I only played 12 games in the Tier 8.  It was terrible.

      I have 40 games in the Tier 9 and I only need  26k to unlock the 10.  I free XP'd the top gun and it is pretty good.  But at least a couple times a game RNG just SCREWS my fully aimed shot.  Even with the turbo, the 9 isn't fast.

      The T8 is just awful, stopped me wanting to progress any further.  Its a derpy slow unarmoured POS whose ONLY redeeming quality is decent HEAT pen

  6. It takes a little getting used to that the Polish meds have no armor. They look like they should and I found myself playing the tier 6 and 7 ones like they do. I need to get more in the Leo Proto mindset, I guess.

  7. Thanks for buffing arty ROF with the 2.0 equipment you Wargaming morons. Playing the lower tier Polish tanks is pure hell with the M44s raining down even faster than before. 

  8. Trying to get blocking missions for the 279 done in the Bobject is just impossible. Every game is all-tier 10 with 2-3 arty and 2-3 EBR shitters. After playing the Leo PTA for a while now playing anything that doesn't have a railgun is fucking uncomfortable as well.

  9. Fuck all mercy low--rolls. Rolled a 315 min damage from Leo Proto on a Super Conq, leaving him on 26 HP and loosing the game. FML.

      I agree with that. I remember this one but forget the ten other times I won when I rolled above average to win the game or set someone on fire etc. That doesn't make it less frustrating when this shit happens. Especially since I had just bounced a shot aimed for his lower front plate but RNG decided should hit the very edge of the upper front plate instead. So RNG gave him double protection.

      @Tman450 nope. There are actually more min rolls than high rolls for the simple reasons often high rolls are bigger than the HP left on some tanks. So in effect some of the good RNG is eaten by the lack of hp on tanks.

      If it hit the gun the mod is indeed inaccurate, since it shows the enemy tank gun position. I've seen shots that hit the gun (and didn't pen because of it) and it was shown clearly. I can't think of another explanation than the mod being inaccurate, but I've used it for a while now and usually when I don't pen what I thought I should have, it shows that I hit some part of the tank at an extreme angle when I thought I hit the flat surface  right next to it. This one I can't explain any other way.

      GG man. So weird to see a Kolo's without either an Ace or Radley's (beyond the weird Assault defence games).

      I second the Pta. I recently got 4 of my 5 Kolos in the last 3 months, and 2 of them were in the Leo 1.

  12. Finally at 30k bonds. For someone who doesn't play clam wars, ranked or anything else, this is a milestone. Haven't spent one, ever, so I wonder if I should. Don't have a tank that I like enough to get bond equipment and only the M60 appeals somewhat to me. The question is, should I get some super-equipment or just keep hoarding and  hope they eventually put a tank I want for sale for bonds?

      Good luck with that one. I very much doubt that the Object 907 will go into the bond shop. The RU server would go wild for the Object 907 at 15,000 bonds every Ivan and his brother, sister and uncle would buy it and then tier X MM would be swamped with them.

      The other way to look at it is to buy 3 pieces of equipment, and then move them to flavour of the month tanks at 600 bonds a time (at most - if you have bounty rammer and vents, then just spend the gold).

      To really min-max, the vert stab is nice but not as good as the vents/rammer combo, so you could just buy them. As others have mentioned, the vents really make vision game tanks pop that little bit extra.

  13. After playing the Char Futur 4 for a bit and sort of liking the tank, I played a game in the Standard B. It is just such a comfortable, fun tank and no 30+ second reload at the wrong moment.

      I mean, you are going from one of the shittiest tier 9 mediums to what is probably the 2nd best.

       

      Char gimmick is at least enjoyable and despite its shittiness, it still is somewhat usable so I'm fine with it being how it is, especially since it was free.

  14. Trust Wargaming to make what could be a fun, simple PvE game a complicated annoying mess. I've played 5 or 6 games now at tier 1, lost every single one since two or three morons in the team just press W and die, again and again. And the reward? Yet another IS clone. That's a hard pass from me.

      My problem every single game has been that I can't kill the baddies fast enough at the end because I have only one or two friendly tanks. Not because I camp, but because I actually use cover, angling and side-scraping. Doesn't save me from the frikking lazer-guided shots from some of those bots, but it is better than sitting in the open taking fire from two directions like my teams seem to like doing.

      I guess this could be OK for a platoon of 5 guys, but as is I won't bother with this.

      In my game max 1 guy is dead. Mostly all have 2-3 tanks. They just shoot what is closest or play it too slow instead of avoiding as many tanks as possible to get to commander tanks. 

       

      Then again EU meta is cancer. I started playing EBR again since everybody camps for 10 minutes then suicides and that's the only tank that can exploit that.

      What i don't understand is why you guys subject yourselves (those that do) to this crap in the 1st place. To me, it was obvious from the get-go that this event-thing would be crap mode. Not even going to touch it with a ten-foot pole.

  15. Is the meta in Frontlines changing? I'm seeing more and more heavies and far less lights and meds, in general. I've even started taking the Renegade out and it performs pretty well. Still prefer the usual Progetto/LT432/EBR but playing something else is a bit refreshing.

      I forced myself to finish to rank 15. That way I only have to get rank 10 next time. I played the Rene a lot this time, mostly for a change of pace. It can bully somewhat, especially at range, but it suffers like all non-EBRs when a swarm of those totally balanced and not at all bullshit cars come for you.

      People finally figured out that the way to farm ranks is to cap/reset and it's way easier to do in something with tanky armor. If a shitter platoon breaks out triple 252U/Defenders they're almost guaranteed to cap.

  16. Goddamn I'm tired of 279s dominating games. A 55% WR player on the other team casually steam-rolled our team on Mali doing 8.5k. Battle was lost before we loaded. Would it be too much to ask for Wargaming to fucking learn how to balance fucking tanks?

  17. Finally. Union 7 for the 279 done. 3 internal crits, 3 games in a row is a total RNG fiesta from hell. Ended up doing it in the 212 cancer after trying with mostly that and ISU with HE. Some good advice from people here to use those two tanks.

      And the next mission I go for was getting 7 (10 for honors) vehicles killed by spotting or tracking them in 10 games. Took me 6 games to get it with honors. The balance on those missions are just totally fucked.

      Yeah WG doesn't play their game. The ones that do are potatoes. That's the problem. They saw how often they get 3 crits and thought a few games in a row is as hard as a normal spot mission.

       

       

      Also yeah all light missions are easy. Maybe except the tracking ones since they require your team o shoot what you spot so some rng is present

  18. What utter RNG bullshit this Union 7 (Is anyone there) mission for the 279 is. Damage three internal modules or crew three battles in a row.

    I've left it on for a while now playing through the double-barrel tanks and premium tanks without ever getting more than two games in a row, and usually just one. I've even been trying with the 261 cancer. Gotten two in a row once in about 15 games now. Even games where I hit lightly armored targets that, when I'm playing them take module damage all the time all I do is track, at most. Multiple games with around 3k damage in this shit class with one or no internal crit. Just WTF?

    If Wargaming could fucking play their own game and then try to balance missions I'd be a hell of a less annoyed right now.

  19. 1465 base XP is just 1st class on the Bourraesque. The purple unicorns out there are making the rest of us look bad. Also, just got a Tank Sniper on this thing on Prok. Don't know how the fuck. RNGJesus giveth and RNGJesus taketh away.

  20. Playing a bit of tier 6 for a change. This is the tier 6 experience these days. M44s all over the fking place. Looking up some of the guys playing this cancer and they have hundreds and thousands of games in this. But hey, let's not nerf this cancer Wargaming.

      It really has to do with effort. Effort is the key point. Doing well, in something like B/Cromwell, T3485M, Type 64 still requires the user to place effort into what they do and/or accomplish. Even if the vehicles are strong to begin with. What they shoot at, commonly puts them in position to be spotted and/or shot at in return. 

      And this results in the ancient argument, while artillery may not be overpowered, and dominate games in damage dealt and kills and wins. They certainly are broken. They turn shit players, into valid threats. And they take absolutely no effort, other than pointing and clicking and waiting to repeat

  22. Christ. Can't even have fun derping around in an EBR105. Every game has 2-3 per side, ruining the fun.

  23. How does that work? I tracked a T54 and got track damage. Yet, somehow, the game doesn't display a single damaged module from my shot in the end plate. It's an interesting bug that makes me think the missions where you need to damage modules are an even bigger shit show than they first appeared. Or am I missing some simple explanation?

      I'm not sure what your mission was but typically when they say modules they mean internal ones

      It's not about the mission in this case. The point is that in game I clearly destroyed a module. The T54 tracks. I even got track damage. And still there is nothing about that in the end plates. Which leads me to speculate that the game might very well not count other critical hits, robbing us when it comes to those module missions.

  25. Union 7 for the 279 is so stupid. Damage 3 internal modules three games in a row. With the random saves for modules it's a complete shit show.

    Just came out of a game with the double barrel tank doing 3k damage with 8 penetrating hits. I shot a Udes 03 with both barrels, scorpion in the turret, IS-6 in the butt, T28 prot in the side and a turtle in the roof armor. Oh, and  a  Tiger II in the side and a Lynx in the side as well. Total number of internal modules damaged? 0. Zero. 

    What a complete rng shitshow this bullshit is.

      Missions and winning games aren't directly related to each other, just do what WG intended and throw games because of their terrible mission design.

      113 with HE on a med flank or is the shell too small? Obj 268 v4 is a good choice too since it can chase hits late game.
