  1. Edit: Not only am I bad@tanks, I'm also bad@quoting and bad@replying. *sigh*
  2. I want to thank y'all for the replies and PMs. Just wanted to let y'all know that I'm not ignoring y'all; I'm looking into the clans. The world is a lil' brighter today: My Past 7-day WN8 is up to 1420 and 24-hr WN8 is 1642. The rust is finally shaking off. P.S. How pathetic of me to think the world is brighter because of it.
  3. Yeah, I saw that after I posted. I shed a tear.
  4. Howdy y'all. I'm returning to WOT after a 12+ month hiatus and need a home. I'm primarily interested in Strongholds, platooning, and rushing Lakeville valley general shenanigans. I don't mind occasionally filling in for Clam Wars, but it won't become my second job- again. I refuse to embarrass myself by posting my recent WN8- it is abysmal. You'll have to go find it yourself if you want to laugh at me. I'm having to relearn the tanks, old maps, new maps, revised maps, and a plethora of other game changes. Truth be told, I tend to play a might too aggressive, as well. The rapid emergency decent of my Recent WN8 is leveling off and will, hopefully, return to the blue hue that I'm used to. Play time is 19:00 - 22:00 Central Time, 4-5 days/week, or more frequently if my Kitchen Pass is validated. Relevant(ish) Tanks that I possess: Tier 10: E5 T57 Hvy E-100 Maus Batchat IS-7 Obj 268 T-62A Tier 8: T69 AMX 100 IS-3 WZ-132 Tier 6: T37 Hellcat Cromwell Firefly KV-85

    BLUE!

So, what you're saying is, "Knowing is half the battle." Grats on the color change.
  6. Google Macross I had to. So, vote for Star Wars I did. MMMmmm...
  7. Here was my setup while grinding that line: Commander: Sixth sense, Repair, camo Gunner:Repair, Camo, snap shot Driver: Repair, Camo, clutch braking Loaders: Repair, Camo, ?? Rammer, GLD (Vert not mountable), Optics The tier 7-9 RU TDs have slow traverse speeds. So, any time some one tries to circle you, or if you need to turn a corner to shoot, Clutch Braking, Snap Shot, and Repair are musht-haves, IMO.
  8. Arty is supposed to be indirect fire. Simply do not draw/render tanks while in Satellite view. Tanks should only be seen by arty when in direct line of sight of the arty. Then, let the Radioman, perhaps also the Commander, of both the spotter (tank) and arty determine the "accuracy" of tank icon locations on the minimap. This represents how well tank locations are called in and understood. Arty Gunner determines accuracy of shot placement. The arty player will see spotted tank icons on the minimap. Spotter and Arty Radioman (and Commander?) skill affects "accuracy" of icon placement. So the arty player knows there is a tank behind that building, but not exactly sure if it is tucked in tight, or poking around a corner. The arty player sees no tanks in satellite view mode, unless the tank is in direct line of sight of the arty. Adjust alpha, DPM, splash, etc, as needed.

    Number 2

Number 2 does mean something: You're first among losers! Srsly, grats.
  10. And, according to FTR, we get to experience it all again starting in October. Suggestion: Don't wait until the final stage to qualify for any reward tank.
  11. Here are two stories about a guy I used to work with. He was pretty smart, but didn't have a lick of common sense. I'll call him "Okie" to protect the guilty and because...well, he was from Oklahoma. Story The First: We were sitting around a table, waiting for shift change. In walks a coworker, eating a Honey Bun. Okie said, "Hey, Rick, split your bun and give me some." Okie was rather confused when we all fell out of our seats, laughing. Story The Second: Several of us were standing in a circle, discussing I-forget-what. Coworker1 claimed how hard/impossible some activity was. Okie said, "I can do it." Coworker2 said, "Okie, you can't walk and chew gum at the same time." Okie said, "Sure I can. Watch." He then proceeded to over-exaggerate chewing his gum and walked backwards...right into an empty shipping crate. Needless to say, he tripped and landed in said crate, arms and legs sticking up in the air.
