This tank feels like a decent successor/sidegrade to the WT auf Pz.IV. I am quite happy about the replacement, it's mobile and makes boom. Don't forget your HE shells, lobbing them at other Grilles is pretty neat. Also, did the Germans compensate here in some way? I mean, comon...

The game is good but stagnating. Last year's issues are next year's issues, apart from somewhat opening up to new players and reducing the rewards of skilled gameplay in general, not much has happened. But apart from this (and the arty issue, ofc) it is a rock-solid game with good pvp gameplay. Does this appeal to you? Continue playing. Does this bore you? There are other games... I think WG did a very nice job balancing the tank. It feels very comfy without being blatantly OP in any aspect or relying on gimmicks. It's a solid workhorse, scales well with skill, effectively a less brutish E 50M variant. I do have to remember to approach tanks clockwise though, the ammo rack is driving me nuts.

Another thing that is going to be difficult is to predictably detrack and do damage at the same time. Most tanks coming in at an angle get rekt through the inner sprocket but if I see it correctly in tank inspector, this tank would get detracked but the shell would ricochet off. That means if this tank rushes you, you might have to avoid the urge to detrack it if - in that situation - dealing damage is more important. For some reason my screenshot didn't work but check it out on tank inspector - the tank has to be almost flat sideways for detrack + dmg or, alternatively, you catch that narrow spot where you can shoot into the UFP through the drive wheel. PS: Seems like I have to hone my reverse sidescraping, holy crap it is gonna be epic on flat ground.

Are you sure? From what I have read, they select 30 players and distribute them around according to experience, winrate, tank, upgrades etc.

At the moment, AW is trying to do skill-balanced MM (roughly how you describe it) and it results in stupid rofl-stomps. The problem is that with balanced teams and little RNG, even the loss of 1 tank quickly results into a cascading effect of tank loss after tank loss.

Totally this, the problem is that the learning curve gets pretty flat after some time - which in itself wouldn't be a problem - but then RNG hits you with a sledge you cannot escape. Yes, you can learn to minimize the role of RNG but eventually, all skill in the world won't prevent you from occasionally rolling for 320 with your standard 105mm cannon, for getting nailed by a CGC, for having your AP shell ricochet off some stupid slope on the arty you would like to kill and which proceeds to shotgun you instead. For many of us, the sheer tank variety meant that we sticked around but eventually we all run out of grinds we want and then we are stuck with a bunch of one-dimensional tanks. There are almost no controversies left with regard to equipment and skills - unlike in a game like GW2 or other MMOs where there are dozens of ways to set up a hero for semi-competitive endgame fun, in WoT there is basically only one set of skills you'd take on your E100 and no alternative. That gets stale.

For Rashid: Would you take the skill that reduces his reload for ATGMs or the skill that reduces his time to lock on a target? I am inclined to say the latter to reduce exposure but I'd like to hear your opinion.

Who gives a sh*t whether it is imaginary or not, we play a game and we are sad if one of our favorite tanks IN THE GAME gets nerfed.

Make it a reward tank for a campaign, farm tears.
