  1. Yeah but like if there was actual endgame content you would have been motivated to play, and you wouldn't have gone out of shape, so to speak. There was just no real justifiable reason to invest that much time into the game. We did because we hoped the game would go somewhere, we knew the game had no endgame at the moment, but we saw the esports scene on wot side and figured that might be the future of wowp so we played anyways so we would be first in line to hop on that... turned out to be a bad investment of time on our part! War thunder was a competitor but the games are different enou
  2. I remember seeing one of his videos where he was going through the wowp tutorial.. and he spent like 12 minutes criticizing the default controls because they weren't the same as WT controls or whatever. like, make some legitimate criticisms of the game, there are PLENTY of things that are worth complaining about... but complaining about the default controls is a dumb one.
  3. See I just don't get this logic https://na.warplanes.today/player/1002121203/Bandet Most played plane tier 9 with 92.2% winrate.. second most tier 8 89% winrate..... "Seal clubbing" okay?
  4. It's really best to ignore anything haswell says, he's an embarrassment. At one point wargaming invited us on a stream to tell the community how to win more, strategies and tips etc, and the entire time he was just disruptive and called us liars and said on the stream we were purposely giving bad advice to make our opponents worse so we can kill them easier... It's just not the behavior of a rational, or sane, person. He probably would have been wearing a tinfoil hat if he had a webcam. They make up some nonsense about abusing the MM or flights when none of those things ever actually happ
  5. Really it's pretty simple... They never had any sort of "competitive matchmaking", in wargamings case it would be clan wars. Had they done this, all the top end players would be out of the general pool and not killing bad people...
  6. It's actually super simple when you think about it, I just say things that I observe are true, and people take some things I say like "just get better at the game" etc as trolls when in fact they are true.
  7. Eh, any explanation that is based off of wargaming being incompetent fits right in.
  8. http://ritastatusreport.blogspot.com/2015/04/scandalous-world-of-warplanes-stream.html They changed flights to 2 in order to cover up their shitty programming abilities.
  9. It would be like they fly circles around their base under AA cover, and the tailgunner is shooting at you for the duration of the game, regardless of your location.
  10. I didn't mean they served the same role in actual gameplay, just that they are both the "easymode" of their respective games.
  11. GA do serve a purpose in balancing as well. They affect the High-altitude fliers. Basically, if they control supremacy strong enough, it can force them to fly lower where they are vulnerable to attack. The skill thing really can be lumped in with the performance thing. They wanted something that can be played with poor performance, hardware or user regardless.
  12. There's plenty of reasons... Suppose, for example, I wanted to make someone that didn't have it jelly?
  13. Something I posted over there regarding GAs.. Basically GA only exist to allow bads to participate. Otherwise, a flying game would be too complex for them. You might argue that artillery serve the same purpose.
  14. Man if I could get big rockets on my hg2 instead of the little bottle rockets, I'd do that so fast. Those big rockets are baller. Anyways, regarding the rise of ground-attack heavy fighters.... I think this is a result of low population matches. As we all know, the less people in game, the more effective ground-attacking is because the amount of ground targets is static. Like when game first launched, everyone high tier except us was in IL's because it was easy to grind them. The less people in the game, the more experience you got per game. Complete inverse of normal. Reall
  15. Does this only include premiums you are actually capable of buying? Example: The Cessna of Doom
  16. Well, the real problem with it was as I mentioned, it came in to effect too early. You would pitch up only 20 degrees and lose 50% of your damage. Realistically, if you are chasing an energy fighter straight up, which is when the thing would come into full effect, you were doing it wrong to begin with.
  17. Because you have always been such an unbiased assessor of both WoWP and WT, amirite?
  18. Something I said in a different thread on the same subject.
  19. Compressed altitude is simply designed to make the matches faster. No one wants to spend time climbing to the moon. Also, compare it to War Thunder Arcade (which is pretty much the same game, without altitude compression). Everyone is lawnmowing because they either cannot climb or don't want to. Also, they don't climb because it's all about getting as many kills as possible quickly as possible, which is also true in WoWP. Since everyone is at low altitude, high altitude planes end up bein' kinda sucky since you never really get to use your advantages... which is just the same situa
  20. Really good post bro, turned something constructive into simply whining about the game. good job.
  21. Bandet, on 28 October 2014 - 10:51 AM, said: I feel that the removal of the increased upwards gun dispersion was a bad idea. It had it's issues, but the important thing to remember here is that this game isn't meant to be realistic, it's an arcade representation of aerial combat. It had it's issues, but what it did do was solve a larger issue that was caused by the same mechanics. I'm going to discuss what exactly it was, what implications it had, why it was removed, and why it needs to come back, in a different form. What was it? This image demonstrates what it was.
  22. 210 will probably be useful if there's ever a tier 5 tournament that didn't restrict it's use.
