Progressing up the KV line for the "On Track to the IS-4". Finally got the KV-4 fully upgraded and was just 1-shotted by a T34. Asked in game and was told the cupola on top of the turret is the weak spot that was hit to remove all 1,650 HP in one BOOM. Does this mean that the first turret is the better one to use? or was I just really unlucky? Upon further reflection it's possible I got really lucky and multiple incoming rounds hit at the same time. The question remains, is the bigger turret the one to be using?

Fantastic article. On some level I think I was aware of these points but now they are crystal clear to me. Also forced me to face up to some bad choices when pushing a flank that should be held and not pushed. Thanks!

Forgive me if this is the wrong place for this question. It seems that many are not in favor of a Skill based MM and I wondered why this is? Especially for platoons, when the matchup is that disparate I don't know how it could be fun for anyone. Maybe not a complete re-work of the matchmaker but swapping similar weight tanks between teams to even out the tomato/purple distribution? Thanks!
