I've never played the game, since WT was( and more than likely still is) the better simulator game for aircraft in visual comparison at least. I remember watching review videos made by Jingles, at that time there wasnt any RAF planes....
As I've played it more, I have had some issues with same tier Spitfires and Zeros. Spit V's are pretty nasty. Can't get away before all that firepower kills you, unless you see them coming and maintain high energy.
Yeah, the Spit I/V is super strong, same with the zeroes, though at least the zeroes can usually be outrun. Been having a ton of fun in the A6M3 though.
