  1. Shinma Apollo from Eve I remember you but can't remember if it's UDIE or oldschool MM connections that we share. (Funny story, the place I'm interning I bring up Eve as a positive example for a lot of stuff) I left after playing season 5 of WGLNA, so used to vanilla for the most part, my big thing was always zoom out mod for obsessive 'match countdown scroll in/out' (and the more practical situational awareness/deal with bad camera positioning on some city areas. The XVM crutch to start (I think I'm limiting myself to >100 games or monday) is to get a sense of if I'm getting XVM sniped by cancer specifically or I'm being really stupid.
  2. I've been interning with another game company a bit, but thought I'd come back to tanks. The physics is...interesting. When you do catch a breather, throw me an invite if I'm online - you can carry me while I re-learn the basics
  3. Heya Dance, long time - what's been new since I disappeared?
  4. Best bet if you wanna run mods on reg play is to make a 'league only' client and use it for matches and scrims only. If you have chatsperge, rip. Who's running clan league, Dance or Yoott?
  5. Should have posted my similar questions on this thread, welp. (Same boat as you + an additional 8 months I think) Did autoaim get a general nerf in terms of basic lead? Any suggestions on a good replay pack to look at for new/changed map meta examples? Also, has the 'banned mods' policy gone to shit? I thought I'd do a 'soft reintroduction' with XVM and a hit/damage log, and saw half of the stuff on aslain was stuff that was previously forbidden (no foliage, highlight behind objects, autoaim assist, wtf?)
  6. I noticed some of the shot deviation shenanigans. Did autoaim get a general nerf in terms of basic lead? Any suggestions on a good replay pack to look at for new/changed map meta examples? 7. Same thing, except over a year. (and 3 shit pub battles rip)
  8. Gaaah, I doubt I have anything now, but if people are fulfilling old requests: any good 'cliff-hanging shots' pre-physics, or this really old but memorable time in closed or open beta days when Campnovka didn't handle water like water, so you could go full submarine and pop up the other side? Also, a video screenshot no screw it video was right of Erlenberg stalemates.
  9. First off MP, grats on your wins and WGLNA success. Second, screw the petition, ask for leave on sporting grounds (there'll be provisions in there) and if that fails, you're still getting 'some' prize for Poland, so use the money there to pay for the summer courses. It's High School, you're not going to fuck your future over whatever you do, sans burning the building down. Alternatively, ask if you can tele-attend or cover attendance by watching recorded class time (Some universities record their classes and stream them after).
  10. I've gotta say, I actually prefer Cross over Trigger, cross had an excellent composition for the 32-bit era, battle system was good, and the party list was insane. FF:T is easily my most re-played rpg. Also in many ways my most hated, because there's not been anything that's come close to the level of enjoyment from that game since, except WOTL (which is the same game with FMVs, and more Square characters). Also: +1 for whomever said Arcanuum - that game had such a good franchise potential - alas, the good die young. FF - first RPG, my half sister stopped talking to me for a year because I played it, and lo and behold wiped her save data. FF2 - more like FFPOO III - Can't really remember it that much, since it was barely ported out, IV, Ok V. Job system origins, pretty fun. VI. Pretty good, good hint that Squaresoft had the right trak, VII: Still all time greatest RPG VIII: Like it, Time travel ending is a little meh. IX: enjoyable, but another case of 'end of 32-bit capabilities' issue. X, : XII Long, served its purpose, but wasn't so engrossed. XIII - Kind of disappointment in design

    Generals & Heroes

I've disappeared from WoT for the last while playing this - largely I think because I paid for prem time in it. The game has so much wasted potential with a dev team that has made me love Minsk in some twisted Stockholm Syndrome-esque manner. It's a nice alt. FPS to CS:GO for a bit, but the biggest issues: - Somehow, the biggest threat to tanks are infantry on bicycles (you plant an AT mine, shoot it = instakill. Also, mines are the cheapest thing there is) - There's no community support, and the end game content/RTS is hopelessly broken. Imagine CW, but with pubs. As an added twist, they waste your vehicles, and there's no way to stop them. - Physics, collision models, very wtf. Tankwise, there's a improperly implemented angle thickness bit. Armor very rarely matters in most tank engagements in-tier, save for 1,000m + shots. Penetration values are so skewed that most times in heavy engagements (persh vs Tig II) Autobounce side will pen far more reliably than non-existant weak zones. - The development team is literally the worst at: communicating anything whatsoever, figuring out their monetization model, and patch notes. The most balance-altering stuff is put in undocumented changes (Imagine 8.8 arty changes, but done with no documentation or notice). Even more hilarious, they randomly mess with the premium time model, because pissing off your cashbase is the key to success while still in beta. - It seems like the entire server/client protocol is a little fucked. It's still worth throwing a couple days to see if you enjoy it though, and it might improve. If you end up taking a swing, best faction for: Light tanks: American. Chaffee spec. Mediums: Soviet, T34-76 2 Shots everything else in class, whereas everything needs 3. Also bounces. (and it's the lower tier) Heavies: German, Tiger II is the only tank that actually seems to have armor vs. zooks + AT nades. TD: Hellcat. Hellcat OPness lives on. Infantry weapons: Germany by a little. Though the Soviets get an anti-tank rifle that neither American nor German get. It can damage lights, but it's kind of crap for it. It does, however, instagib jeeps (and kills everyone inside) Rapes IFVs, rapes planes. Planes: Germany by far. If you really want to fly, don't go American. I might session it for a bit longer, but if any wotlabbers are throwing down in H&G hit me up.
  12. Just a note: IS-5 is a reward tank for an event, not a regular premium to be sold... so it's going to be rather hard to aquire on a test server. Also, it uses the D-25T but with APCR standard, and 260(?) pen HEAT)

  13. t95e2 - Great tank, until you realize the mantlet is 100mm and will get penned everytime. GG
  14. When IS-5 comes on reg test, we can gauge which. Initially though my feelings are if the gun's d25t it's is-6, if it's bl-9 (or bl-9x) it's IS-3.
