EDIT: Actually, I went and played two games and hell no, I forgot it's definitely the player base that's the problem.

I think Putin really misread this situation. Doesn't even seem like he has a lot of support in Russia. Hopefully it'll all run out of steam quickly.

The irony is I think the game is actually still decent up to and including tier 7 games. Then you roll over to a tier 8 game and all the absolute garbage WG has done starts to set in and it becomes a dumpster fire. The tiers they don't care about are the only ones that survived the years of monetization onslaught.

It's better than the E2 but still sucks mostly. One of those tanks I come back to over and over because I WANT TO BELIEVE. The pen is just hopeless against power creep 8s. Haven't tried it much with new equipment though, speed boosts might make it playable so you could actually get to sides and such. But probably not.

Anecdotally, the players left are all the shittiest of the shit. They game has moved to cater to that "evening out of results", and it seems like better players are leaving at a little higher rate. The amount of sub 45% win rates I see now is amazing.
