So, I've gone back to what I considered the worst disapointment of my early WoT career, the Chaffee. I started WoT almost exactly one year ago and the American light tank line leading to the Chaffee was the first I tried. I sucked. Alot. If I had played with myself from those days today I would be screaming and tearing my hair or simply laughed at the noobishnes. The stuart that precedes the Chaffee was fast and I thought it fun to drive straight into enemy lines and trying to zig zag for as long as I survived once I reached them. Getting one or two shots in on enemy tanks was a bonus. Need

Hello everyone, First off: new user here on the forum so again I'm a complete newbie ... Also a little background: I'm not a big gamer. I found this WoT through a colleague that told me about it. We have fun playing together which is how I started off. So I don't have any first person shooting experience at all, nothing, seriously! Needless to say, the first 5k battles I really sucked. Initially I was somewhat concerned about this, as the Chaffee isn't actually all that fast for a light tank. Wargaming's CGI-heavy trailer did little to allay my concerns. However, someone linked me actual in-game footage, and my concerns are now allayed. The Chaffee Sport editions used in this mode are fast, seemingly only partially affected by gravity, drift like crazy, and can even drive on the roof of a warehouse on Port. I've always been fond of the ELC races my clan does on patch days, so something with actually enforceable rules piques my interest.

Hey - So I'm sitting on enough XP to research the Chaffee as it is now in 9.2. I have been putting it off though, as I heard the nerfed revamped Chaffee was going to cost only about 12k XP to research in 9.3. Just wondering if anyone has seen anything that outlines what will / may happen in the garage when 9.3 is released? Will it be better to have it researched? or not? Should I buy one before 9.3 comes out to catch any 'hidden' bonuses? Cheers, -j.

So I've had my Chaffee for well over two years. And I honestly suck at lights, even though I truly believe the Chaffee is one of the best lights by far, regardless of the fact that it's a tier 5 in up to tier 8 or 9 battles (down from tier 10). Only took me 336 battles to finally get my Ace Tanker medal. Partially, a true excuse, is that at least half of these battles were played before WG brought in the Mastery badges, and I do remember several specific battles which would definitely have given me that Ace had it been in-game at the time. From FTR: "- there is apparently a bug that when a Chaffee platoons with KV-1S (or other lower tier spread heavies), it will get their MM spread, Storm states he needs to check" Any one know anything about this? Because if so: ZOMGTANKBONER. Gonna be platooning tonight, I will test it out. I notice they DO have the exact same MM weight, perhaps there's a link?
