I stopped playing tournaments when WG nerfed the gold payouts. By March of 2016, WG changed how tournament data was presented and added an API. That broke the data scraping scripts that I had running, and I didn't care to update them. Now a year and a half later, I'm taking down the server that hosted the website. I really liked how people used WoTScout.com links in forums to show their past performance. That was a neat side-effect of what was initially just a way for me to see the WN8 and win rate of upcoming opponents during tournaments. Since that historical data may be of value t

While reading the information about the upcoming Halloween Treat tournament, I came across an interesting note from Wargaming. "WG admins reserve the right to change team names to prevent picking specific, preferential side of the map." I think this is fairly obviously saying that team names somehow affect that team's spawns in the tournament, but do correct me if I'm wrong. Does anyone have experience with this? It seems much simpler to just make spawns a random order of 50-50 split between sides (or not random) rather than rely on team names somehow to do this.

Serious thread. I think some players on this forum can help me. For the past few months my sole motivation to play WoT has been reaching thresholds. DPG mainly. To that extent my repertoire consists of damage farming and general apathy towards other players on my team. Even though I don't do this to the extent of some players, I am looking to broaden my horizons. Yes in some ways, achieving top DPG in some tanks is considered improvement, but I want to take it in another direction. I've noticed in that in the few tournaments that I've played(for gold) people have criticized me for not playin

I know I'm in a clan already, but I always want to improve. However, this is becoming increasingly difficult. First ~8k Battles were absolute trash. Started to get better and better, and I'm now maintaining 2500 Recent (Still increasing steadily) However, this low 1100 Overall usually makes me need to join clans with a lower recent to accommodate for low overall. I'm looking for around 2300 or better clan recent as an average, not a requirement, as I tend to find that most clans have lower average than requirement. Im looking for a new clam with relativly high reqs, Ideally I would be middle of the pack as far as clan skill goes rather than top 10. I think I may forget about starting up my old clan -W- The Warriors again and just look for a new clan that I can chilax in and maybe have a lesser role as a Field Commander or just simply a soldier.
