There is really no comparing this tank to any other tank at tier 6. The 105, if it was any better, would be overpowered. On the ARL it is simply serviceable. With 223 base pen, 330 alpha damage, and a base RoF of 5.6 it has everyone else beat on pen, and almost everyone else beat on damage. The gun has in class dispersion values that compare almost favorably to the 122 on the KV-85, another gun that shoots stuff. I couldn't really find a decent thread discussing the 30B, the only thread I did see was Shrew asking if the tank had any point, and he seemed to have only played it on the test server at that point where it's hard to get a very precise idea of how a tank plays. On paper, the 30B looks a little worse than the leo in most respects, and I was happy to believe it, as I already have a Leo 1, and I don't want to have to grind out 200,000 XP on the 13 90 just to get a worse leo, but I'm beginning to have doubts that it is worse after a friend of mine (who I respect as a very good player) with ov

So the rumors are confirmed. WG is implementing wheeled vehicles into the game. I, as an excessive light player am pretty happy about this so far (also because french) but it seems to come with some caviats. Just watched quickies video from Gamescom were he answers some questions from some develloper and it seems, while having very good mobility, the new lights will have bad view range and even worse guns than regular lights to push them in an "active scouting role". Bretagne. Apart from having different ranges for HE & AP it felt utterly bland. And slow at a max speed of 21.1 knots. Lyon: I haven't got it yet but a clannie has. The dispersion seemed to be "German" but with 16 guns - 2.6 times as many as Gneisenau - who cares. Secondaries seemed effective when he got in range. In Operation Narie he did over 250k damage. I skimmed the first three pages of the French forum on WoTlabs and was surprised to not find a dedicated appreciation thread singing the praises of the AMX 301er. I probably missed it, but in the event that one has not been created, here you go. This tank is fantastic. It is a tank that makes me feel like a unicum. It's fast, it begs you to flex and find new ways to use the gun depression, it hits hard (especially for a French tank), and it looks good doing it. So at my current rate I should soon get enough EXP on my AMX 13 90 to unlock my first tier 9 French MT. And I have yet to really decide which one I will go for first. I do plan to get both eventually, but that requires more grinding on the AMX 13 90 after the fact. Some of my assumption on the two choice of French tier 9 MTs Lorr 40t: I've heard some good stuff about, it but a lot of bad stuff about it as well. Hello WoTlabs, While staring at the 9.7 Test Server Launcher as it updated my test client, I noticed that it actually had a French tank on it (note that the login screen for WoT almost never has a French tank on it, only the Renault FT IIRC). It looks a lot like an AMX M4 45, but could it be an AMX M4 1949? I can't paste the screenshot I took, and from past experience (probably just me) pasting anything on these forums just doesn't work (such as links to imgur)... Halp?

Hi all. I'm having trouble with Light tanks in general. I started my WoT career on the American TD line, went into the Russian heavies. I currently have the ELC, the AMX 12t (working towards Batchat eventually). I have the Chaffee, Luchs. I know French lights are a little different than regular lights. But aside from the occasional pretty good game. I can't seem to be consistently good in any of these tanks. I know that not having 6th sense is a major setback. So maybe that's all it is. So we all know this tank gets a lot of flak for being one of the worst heavies tier for tier, mainly because it has no workable armour, mediocre view range and poor fire control. Basically people call it a shitty Tiger I. So far, I've played only around 20 games in this machine. Here is my take on how to work this tank, and I'll be delighted to here your opinions on it. So first of all, we have the gun choice (DCA 45 vs 105). I strongly believe that using the 105 is the way to go. Why? DPM of the DCA 45 is utter trash. Thanks to tourney/cw gold, I will be completely skipping the AMX 50 120 and will be jumping straight into the 50B, a tank that has been on my shopping list since it's release that I only made decent progress on grinding towards about 2 months ago. I do however understand that I will be missing out on the learning of playing the tier 9 version but am pretty set on my decision. So what tips do you 50B drivers have regarding equipment/consumable loadout and tactics? Which camo patterns look the sexiest?

A while back I put together some sort of challenge for myself for the batchat. I'd love any sort of feedback, be it suggestions, someone else who wants to challenge me with a certain objective or anything else... I'm doing this because I love playing this thing, and it was my first X, so some stat repairing won't hurt. FTR has reported that "new French heavy line will definitely not come in 2014 or 2015" As a self-diagnosed Francophile, I am extremely disappointed that the 2nd French heavy line (modeled back in 7.5(?)) will be delayed again. Hello Wotlabs community, Time for some E-peen waving (is that the correct usage of the term?) I just bought my first tier 10 tank today, the AMX 50B. Things I like: 1) It has gun depression/elevation! (50 120 has +/-6, this has -8/+11) 2) Hull is bouncy! (People see French tank and shoot center mass but 170mm + weird slope = troll armor) 3) Dang it's fast! (actually feels French. 50 120 for me was sluggish until it got up to speed) 4) 2.5 sec aim time/2.5 sec inter-clip reload (down from 3/3.33 respectively) 5) It's my first tier X (has been over a year/6k battles in coming

So, with the Gold i will get from selling my Superpershing in 8.8 (goodbye old friend) I am planning on buying the FCM 50T. The reason im planning on buying it over say, the IS-6 is because I want a french heavy crew trainer. So can owners of the FCM give me a run down of its playstyle, how effective it is, its earning potential, Equipment setup, etc please? So heres my set-up (Crew freshly retrained from the 1390) Now I'm running Vents/GLD/VStab because I heard its aim time was a pain, is this a correct set-up or should I opt for another one? Whats the recommended ammo-loadout? Any general tips on playing the tank? Im finding a hard time doing anything and artillery will follow me all match just to splash/shoot me.. *(Pisses me off) I'll try to put some replays up, but if someone could put a replay up on how to play the lorraine that would be great, and of course, any tips and tricks are welcome. Back in the game after a few months of hiatus (stopped just after learning my 21,000 83mm shells were not profitable). Decided to push further up the French light / medium line, and made it here now. My trouble is I've never played an autoloader. I read that you play it as a passive scout / vulture / endgame tank, but I've not really done passive scouting either, only mildly successful active scouting in my T-50. 12t can't into zipping around. So, I have been playing this tank for about 3 days now and I am asking for any tips on how to drive the tank. It's a hard transition form the amx1390 to the tier 9 fat turd of a medium. Any general tips would be helpful, such as when should I engage an enemy when I should run away, and is it better to snipe at the beginning and swoop in at the end? Should I be scouting in tier 10 battles, etc. (I have the upgraded 100mm gun)
