Hey there folks, Millardthemk and Teram here. We want to let the community know about some pretty cool stuff that’s been going on behind the scenes that’s just now ready to release to the public. As many of you know, it can be hard to find competent tutors for your WoT journey as you try to improve and grow was a player in a pretty complex game. We recognize this is a current problem, and that combined with a desire to help others and avoid homelessness has prompted out action, and the creation of group called “World of Tanks Tutors”. WOTT for short. We think it has the potential to be tremendously helpful and hope you agree. Our goals with WOTT are as follows: #1 Fill the teaching void and help player base group as it sees fit. Every game from HALO to WOW to Runescape has had groups available to assist players in their growth and skillz. Oddly enough for such a popular game, WoT has a complete void of options available for players who realize that rather than buy in game gold that they will spend and beno better off because of, they can convert that pocket change into improving their own personal gameplay abilities through instruction, review, and real-time gameplay analysis. All skills which translate into more exp, more credits, and more time playing a tank you want (more fun)! #2 Assist players who are tired of a skills or W/R plateau. Tanks is a cerebral shooter, making it easy to slip into a rut and cease improving. Sometimes all it takes is an outside opinion from a pro to bust out of your flatline and start climbing the skills ladder once again. If this sounds like the position you’re in--we can help. Rather than getting vague or spotty assistance via other routes we’re committed to giving you a great value for your time and money. #3 Help relieve some of the stat hate. The nasty reality of WoT is that players with lesser stats may be ridiculed and insulted regularly. This happens both on the public forums and in game, and while completely inexcusable, there’s really only one way to stop it--improve your stats. Unfortunately, if you’ve already played several thousand games overall or several hundred in a certain tank it can be almost impossible to bring the values up to your current playing level. For those who find themselves in this slippery slope of stats we toss you a lifeline of assistance. Via our platoon teaching packages we will show you the ropes in an easily understandable manner while at the same time increasing your W/R without you breaking a sweat. #4 Give you the tools for competitive group play success. As veterans of countless tournaments we’re in a unique position to be able to provide useful and experienced feedback for your team and can even host group training sessions and work with you to improve your team’s cohesion and tournament gameplay skills. While this service won’t please everyone(nothing does!), we hope it will be helpful to those who truly want to improve and are willing to spend the time and resources required for excellence. Both Millardthemk (Sam) and Teram (Michael) are long-time community members and we have seen a need that needs filling--and decided to step into the gap. Oh, we also enjoy eating meals occasionally and paying rent is also a plus. In conclusion, this is a service we’d love to see take off and assist players while at the same time remaining personal enough that folks are actually more than a name on a sheet, they’re real people who have an applaudable goal: To be good at tanks--and should be treated in a respectful, professional manner. Best wishes, Millardthemk and Teram Click HERE for a link to the website.
After working with a vast compendium of players in both a formal and informal way I’m going public in offering cheap replay reviews. Tanks is a game of fighting through plateaus of skill and ability, something that is not always possible without an outside opinion. I personally have bugged more experienced players in the past to try to glean some secrets and found them strangely useless. My personal opinion on this is that A) Not everyone is good at teaching--some suck at teaching. B) Tanks is such a ‘play by play’ game that it can be hard to give specific advice without actually seeing the action. On the flip side I'm both great at tanks and love teaching. No really, I actually enjoy working with players and seeing that 'light bulb' moment. There are some exceptional tutoring services available already like CrabEatOff’s, and I’m not interested in horning in on his great service. The thing is, 6500 gold is sometimes just not possible for folks who want to improve, need to improve, but don’t have a large budget. Or maybe it’s just been awhile since payday and their significant other will notice a large CC charge. Here’s where I can help. $10 for 20 minutes of replay review in which we will commentate the good, bad, and ugly while talking to you in Skype/Teamspeak/Ventrilo/Mumble/Sign language. • Commentate the good, bad, and ugly. • Give tips on your specific per map basis. • Offer per tank suggestions for ‘kitting’ and tank meta. • Provide useful suggestions on how to deal with problem situations.(Certain camps, unicum platoons, etc.) • (If present) Show faulty decision making and how it negatively effects the match. • Give feedback on exit/entrance routes and terrain usage. • Provide Situational Awareness evaluation and suggestions. My hope is that this will make private tutoring possible for some folks wanting it but unable to afford current rates as well as facilitate a low cost low risk improvement route for your average player. I’m not here to bash reds/yellows/greens/blue/purples. I’m here to help you improve and enjoy the game more. Peace, millard Note: If someone is unable to do the in-game store but wants to do PP instead, I can make that work as well.
Hey folks, Millardthemk here, long time community helper/Wot forum poster and new to Wotlabs. I have been slowly working my way up the French TD line--but real life is making it a snail pace grind. Currently prepping to move to St. Joseph MO as well as working with online Freelance writing jobs. I've got great 50Foch stats from just messing around in pubs but I simply do not have the time required to play 300k exp worth of games until I reach the T10. I'm paying off a loan and can't devote the hours to tanking I did in the long past. Right now I'm happy to get 10 games a day and then load up on them on the weekends. More and more players are wanting to get 155 replays as 8.6 has helped this TD out in a massive way, but currently there are only a handful(10, 12?) of publically known greats who actually have the tank with a good # of games played and much less who have replays provided appropriately. Right now I'm looking at grabbing a 155 and getting 50-100 games played and hosting the replays for your viewing pleasure on the EU Wot-replays website. This should allow you to simply and easily pick and chose the replay you want to download. Struggling on Ensk or Erlenberg? There's an app replay for that. And no, I'm not one of those French autoloader players. I only whip out the extra rounds when I know I'll face something nasty like an E100 or Maus. What this means is that my replays translate to the common-tanker with much more ease than a HEAT or APCR(depending on tank) slinger. This is where you can come in: Any donation to my Foch155 is a donation to the community review pool(or maybe you want some yourself? Fair enough!). I'm not expecting one player to donate the required amount to convert EXP, or even to get a free ride to the 155. But every little bit helps, and I'm hoping someone out there will find it in them to help out a fellow tanker and community at the same time. Best wishes, Millardthemk
