  1. Quoted from Awesome Epic Guys "WG: Very soon the UDES 03 Alt 3, a Tier IX Swedish medium tank, will roll out onto the Supertest. Just like other high-tier Swedish medium tanks, this vehicle has a hydropneumatic suspension allowing it to tilt its hull. The nominal gun depression angle is -7 degrees; with the suspension-aided tilt it can reach -13 degrees. The vehicle enters the hull tilt mode automatically. The UDES 03 Alt 3 carries a gun that deals an average of 360 damage points per shot and has a dispersion of 0.35 m and an aiming time of 1.9 s. Armor penetration is 252 mm with the basic APCR shell and 284 mm with the special APCR shell. The gun reloads in 10.2 s. The tank’s view range is 380 m. The frontal armor of the Swede is 66 mm thick. Its top speed equals 50 km/h, with a specific power of 18 hp per tonne. The HP pool amounts to 1,600 points. Gameplay-wise, the UDES 03 Alt 3 is much like other high-tier Swedish medium tanks. It has a low silhouette, a hydropneumatic suspension, and a gun with decent parameters. Just like its mates, it’s good at what mediums usually do (like flanking and quick breakthroughs), plus such things as terrain-based play and ambushing." It looks like it sacrifices a bit of alpha damage for greatly increased penetration and improved gun handling. We still don't have the soft stats (if you find them post them please) but the much better aim time, low turret armor, and more bulky turret profile suggests this tank will have less reliable armor as well. Over all tho, this looks a lot less OP than the new auto-loaders from France and the Soviet Union. Does anyone know hat this will be a reward for or if it is a tech tree tank? Edited title because I am unfunny and unoriginal.
  2. Hey guys, I'm looking to replace my MacBook pro. Thing is about 4 years old almost and it is starting to age really poorly, so I need help/recommendations. I only use this laptop for browsing and video/netflix watching but it can play SC2 fairly well. I don't need a gaming laptop necessarily, just want something that can be compatible, speed and resolution wise. So an SSD is a must with a quick CPU. This thing's resolution is 2880 x 1800, I can't seem to find anything comparable though expect 4k laptops which I was told has very little added benefit. Appreciate your help fellas (and ladies!).
  3. Greetings Wotlabs Community. Some of you may know me from the normal World of Tanks Forums, but since I am very new here I will introduce myself as N3RV3, also known as "The Captain". My main purpose of joining the Wotlabs forums is I heard that I could actually gain more knowledge than what I already know here. Please, I am not a superb player so don't expect much of me. Thank you for having me here. If you have any questions (anything besides arty) then feel free to ask. N3RV3 <o
  4. I have 3500 battles in, and I am not happy with my progress. I am here looking for any help that is offered to me. I would like to find someone who is willing to work with me. I can be contacted here, in game, or at vnav.enjin.com Same username at all locations. Thank you all squidy_2016

  6. Hello everyone my name is madxbrad13 and i have been using wotlabs for a while to check my stats I made a post on the WOT official forums asking for more training/help and a few people said to start by registering here So here i am
  7. Hi everyone! After being inactive in WoT for a while. I figured I could make myself useful on the Wotlabs forums! Some of you may know me already, but I'm a random WoT player who has played since January 2013. I'm currently attending college, so I'm still a salty kid lol. I like higher tier mediums and higher tier heavies, and some light tanks. I started playing this game as an arty player and completely rekt myself -__- but after a while, I learned that it was time to stop and learn this game. I like to watch twitch streams as they have helped me develop on my skills in WoT. I may know some of you from the twitch streams as well, so if I see you guys, hey! I am welcome to interact with this awesome community, and keep asking myself why I didn't do this sooner... With that being said, I don't know when I will start to log on to WoT again. My current PC can't run WoT atm, so I've been playing at my friend's house from time to time. With the forums, I want to be able to be a part of WoT even if I don't have to play it. However this game frustrates me a lot, and I tend to be extremely salty. I'm still saving up for my own PC and hopefully I'll get one someday with some high performing specs. With that being said, Happy Holidays! EDIT: oops my wn8 is screwed up on the side lol. still new. my real stats are on wotlabs.net/na/player/Draconis256
  8. Hello, fellow NA clan friends, Hopefully CW 2.0 has not killed everyone yet. After enduring the harsh training that is listening to Gabe's voice, I feel that I am ready to get some actual calling experience. Calling for clans below the top 20 will help me get down the basics and hone my foundation as a trainee. Hence, I am offering my services (free): I will devise a strats and also FC for your stronghold/CW battles. Why should you trust a newbie like me to win your battles? First, I believe that some of my knowledge of individual play transfers over to the calling scene; namely my knowledge of crossfires which results in my ability to farm those damages. Second, Gabe-san has taught me well, endlessly spamming youtube links of euroclams duking it out so that I can learn well. Third, Gabe-san will help me during the battles (provided that he is free) as he has retired from chief Bulba caller (too old by Bulba standards). It will work like this: I will show up before the battle starts with a strat on maptactic. I will show the positions/rotations to the clans and explain the strat fully so you know how to use it. Then, you will provide me (and Gabe) a sock so we can play in your battle. Gabe will then sing a communist victory song to celebrate the victory. This will be a mutually beneficial exchange: I will become more adept at calling while your clan will enjoy having an advantage over rival clans in battle. If interested shoot me a PM and we'll schedule something. Happy grinding! ^^
  9. So, after examining my PC at home (the really crappy HP one, I found out that it's worse than I found out,) I've decided to simply scrap upgrading and just start anew. Using http://www.logicalincrements.com/, I'm going to make a PC somewhere around the "great" tier, if not, just make the PC straight from the site itself. Any thoughts?
  10. The Punished Ones is a semi competitive clan looking to recruit some players with around 1200 wn8 recent. We got some trainers in the clan and we are willing to help out players. We are a small group atm about 15 players or so. We are hoping to do tier 6 and then later tier 8 clan wars. In our TS we got a future bronze league team sitting in it (Love Tap), the players in the clan are very interested in doing tournaments to gain even more gold then clan wars. We don't have age requirement but we want mature players, we will determine if you are mature enough by playing with us. We are also a bunch of jokers who love to just have good laughs all the time. We're mostly looking to have fun and improve as a good group of guys and girls. TS: ts9.gameservers.com:9112 PW: 101eg You can also message me in game (The_Rainbow_Platypus) or Blackout_Garrett, Tlane04Prime, Grandpa_Kradok, Jace2, Sacksburg, Zanedevero123. http://wotlabs.net/na/clan/T-P-O
  11. I made a WoTLabs forum account last year and never got around to posting in it. I have started the game through trial by fire with my friend buying me a SPershing before we even got to T5. As a raider who came from an MMORPG, it became pretty much all about the stats once I discovered XVM at the time. Over a year later I have plateaued at my current level and was unable to improve and started slipping due to moving to a region with an additional 100ping(on top of the usual 240) and Internet instability. I would still love to get them dank purple stats so I want to start being able to use the forums fully.
  12. I am a new tanker playing on the EU servers. I have made a few reroll accounts for various reasons, but here I am with my potato stats I am looking to finally start getting pretty good at this game. My average exp and dmg are continually going up, but I feel like I have learned most of the game mechanics by now, and I want to start getting rid of my bad habits that I feel are holding me back, such as impatience. My favorite tanks: LTTB Jpanther T1 Heavy Cromwell B That's all for now, so hello!
  13. Hi I'm Konrad from Poland. I'm on WoT since 2011 with a lot of "off" time from playing. It would be nice to hear some advices, play with and just having fun. Konrad
  14. Hey there fellow tankers! Ive heard a lot about the WoT Labs forums and Ive read a couple of threads. I just want to learn to be a better player, and to maybe one day pass on some of my knowledge to others. Im still getting used to these forums and I am looking forward to any interaction with all of you. If anyone ever wants to Platoon up or run Team Battles together in game, I welcome it. Just send me a friend invite and message me! You'll find im a very friendly guy that loves to joke and have fun. This is not my first post as a few minutes before this I posted a thread in the "mentor" section. Nice to meet you! And ill see you on the battle field
  15. +9000k battles... still a scrub though and looking to improve... Wanted to say hello to the forum and if I've offended you in game you probably deserved it.
  16. Hello all. I'm new to the forums, as you can see from the title. I hope that the forums can help me become a better player, the reason why I signed up. Is there anything anyone recommends I do to get started on the forums?
  17. Hello from Boston! I'm a new player that's been playing for a few weeks now, mainly in tiers 3 and 4. At the moment I prefer to play light tanks and do some scouting and then watch in vain as my team goes the other way and dies. Such is the way of things
  18. Hello everyone, I am new here, though I have visited this site once or twice before. I am a relatively new player seeing as I have only done about 4400 battles. I have only started improving and learning at 3500 battles so those battles are acting like an anchor to my WN8 rating, it definately could've been worse though. Though I haven't been here for long I have already read some useful threads and articles so I assume this is a good place to learn how to play, also I watched the video Jingles made and it gave me an idea of how well people in the forums play, I knew about the forums earlier though. A question, why do my Recent Stats not show anything for me? They would be very useful for me as it would make it easier to track my progress. P.S. In case you're wondering why my username for Wot is what it is that's because I made my Wot account several years ago and I didn't pick the username well, but I'm not willing to pay to change it. I don't feel like rerolling because I'd lose all the gold i have.
  19. Hey! I'm new to WoTLabs, I first heard of it when I was installing XVM, the rating scales have WoTLabs in the credits for some of them. But the real driving force for me to actually create an account was The Mighty Jingles, and he's stated that WoTLabs don't like to see that name but, you know, I gotta say from where I come. As for myself statwise, I'm a below-average "tomato" who plays mainly German tanks and I'm also a German tank enthusiast. Without premium tanks, I've got as far as the Tiger 1 in research. I'm working heavily towards the Tiger II and completing the StuG IV missions to get the female crew for the Tiger 2 I want to research. I thought I'd introduce myself, as well as declaring my goals I hope to achieve with the help of the players of WoTLabs. I'm afraid of being a terrible poster so pardon me if I don't post much. These are the top four replays of the best games I've ever had. Not trying to brag, just like for you to get a sense of my playstyle on my great days. 21. Hello people, I am random person who has heard interesting things about wotlabs.net, so I decide to check it. I would love to improve my playstyle through time and I hope information around here can help me over time. Also, I have question, Since I am stingy (many reasons, my personality, my economy, etc.), I was wondering how much does premium ammo make difference? Of course, it relies on many factors, but if there is some kind of answer, for an example, it helps you 5%-10% in general, I would like to hear it.
  22. After finally getting a tiny bit of purple on my signature I figured it was time to move on from the official forums to a place full of like skilled players and unicums hello all of you.
  23. Hi there all, fellow tankers. I am new to this forum page and just thought id post a quick hello to all and introuduce myself a little to how i play and what i think of World Of Tanks. Okay so i am coming on to my 2,000 Battles mark on World Of Tanks and consider myself to be an average player (not good but also not the worst, i hope) and of course i am always looking to improve my game play and skills, so if any of you fancy a look at my stats and want to give some helpful advice and steps towards getting better then feel free to offer assistance, though if you want a more in depth detail my my goals and such then please ask and i will reply as soon as i can. World Of Tanks is one of my favourite games to play online and i rather enjoy it apart from those Toxic players but hay, you always get a least one in every online game, I just ignore them. I like to play my games for the fun and enterainment of it and so i am not much of a competitve player, for example i dont pay much mind to having good stats (of course we all would like to have good stats but if not, big deal? not everyone is perfect) but having to babysit stats and make them look good just for other players to see is not fun for me but at least i do try to win and play as best i can. What is fun for me is that i like to be a jack of all trades kind of player, so like to play every tank type whilst learning them and Eliting them as i go along and also like to collect tanks in the game (I dont sell them) If you have any questions for me then feel free to ask and i will answer (If sensible) and thanks for reading
  24. I've been gaming since forever with a $10 Logitech keyboard + mouse combo on an hp dv-7 laptop... I think it's time to upgrade. No case, monitor, or power supply to reuse; I'd like to actually get my hands on some decent peripherals for a change as well. Don't need an OS or optical drive, will be running off wired connection so Wifi is unnecessary. Budget is variable: ideally I'd like to keep it below one grand USD, but I can stretch that to get some better parts if there will be a significant boost. Goal is to run modern games at a stable 60+fps on high/ultra at 1920X1080. Since I play WGLNA, it'd probably be nice to boost my tanks performance as well. I'm looking at two different tower builds. The cheaper, non-overclock-capable one is: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($159.99 @ Micro Center) Motherboard: ASRock H81 Pro BTC ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($41.99 @ Newegg) Memory: Patriot Viper 3 Low Profile Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($67.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($53.95 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card ($349.99 @ NCIX US) Case: Zalman Z11 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case ($44.99 @ Micro Center) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Newegg) Total: $768.89 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-10-28 14:37 EDT-0400 The more expensive wallet screaming bloody murder one is: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($199.99 @ Micro Center) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($28.98 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($104.99) Memory: Patriot Viper 3 Low Profile Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($67.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($53.95 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card ($349.99 @ NCIX US) Case: Zalman Z11 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case ($44.99 @ Micro Center) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Newegg) Total: $900.87 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-10-28 14:38 EDT-0400 Either build is a significant upgrade from what I'm currently rocking. Remember, I need peripherals too, so I need to set aside ~$250-$400 for those, depending on what I go for. Obviously I understand the more money I put in, the better performance I get, but my main question is... how much better? Questions: 1. For anyone that's overclocked their processor, what sort of boost to WOT framerates did you see? I'd rather save the money if I'm just going to jump from 60 to 80 or something like that, but if you can break 100 or even closer to 120, then I'm willing to break open the piggy bank. 2. Wait for Broadwell, yay or nay? I'm not too sure what the performance increase will be... and honestly, with Skylake apparently coming out soon after, I'm tempted to just snag the H81 + 4590 combo and upgrade the mobo and processor when the new architecture is released. If I pay for the more expensive stuff upfront, I need it to last longer. 3. Is wattage sufficient or do I need to spring for a 750W PSU? 4. Go for a 144hz monitor or a standard, cheaper 60hz IPS? Again, this comes down to framerates; if tanks is too demanding for my framerates to benefit I'd rather just save cash now and upgrade later. I don't really care about 144hz for other games- when I'm playing single player I can live without pixel-perfect smoothness. 5. Just out of curiosity, is either i5 strong enough for Twitch streaming at say, 720p/60fps? I'm not willing to spring for the i7 just to stream, but it'd be interesting to know. Answer any or all of the questions you can, or just review the builds, it's fine by me. Thanks in advance for assistance.
  25. I've already posted a couple times but I never really introduced myself. ^^' Nice to meet the WOTlabs community. I transferred over from the EU forums cause I heard the trolls weren't really allowed here. So far everyones been very helpful with any questions I've had.
